Abstract

Leadership style and organizational culture in an organization has big effect toward the growth of employee motivation to work. In education as well as, the school leadership style and organizational culture have influence of teachers’ motivation in conducting their tasks. The study is aimed to describe how far the school leadership style and organizational culture influence teachers’ motivation to work at MTs Arrohman Jombang. This study is quantitative and questionnaire as the instrument. The result shows that the leadership style and organizational culture partially or simultaneously influence significantly on the teachers’ motivation in MTs Arrohman Jombang in academic year of 2015/2016 proved by t-test results t test > t table (3,358 > 2,023) with a significant level of t < 5% (0,002 < 0,05) and Ftest of 79,228 and a significance level of F < 5% (0.000 <0,05). Whereas, the influence of variables of leadership style and organizational culture on the teachers’ motivation was 80,2% and the rest of 19,8% is influenced by other factors

Abstract

In the process of teaching and learning, disciplinary habits can foster students' social behavior. For students who have high discipline will behave well socially wherever they are. Researchers are interested in examining the relationship of students’ discipline with social behavior of MA MiftahulUlumCermenan Ngoro Jombang. This research method is quantitative research. The results of the product moment analysis found that there was a very significant positive correlation between discipline and students' social behavior. It is known that the results of the discipline of students belonging to the low category which are 4 respondents or 7.27%, middle category there are 19 respondents or 34.55%, and classified as high category there are 32 respondents or 58.18%. While the results of the social behavior of MA students. Miftahul ‘UlumCermenan Ngoro Jombang which is in the low category there is one respondent or 1.81%, which is classified as middle category there are 21 respondents or 38.19%, and classified as high category there are 33 respondents or 60.00%. The conclusion of this study shows that there is a significant and strong relationship between discipline and social behavior of MA MiftahulUlumCermenan Ngoro Jombang students, because the hypothesis test results show that the r count of 0.841 is greater than the r table of 0.2656, and the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Listening is as one of the receptive skills must be mastered by students at first. However, many schools ignoring it. The objective of this study is to know the effectiveness of song as media to teach listening using quantitative approach as design. The result showed that song in teaching listening is very effective for senior high students. Based on the result of t-test shows that t-test is higher than t-table (8, 657 > 1, 69389), so there is difference of listening ability before and after giving song as media, and the result of significance is 0,000 < 0, 05, it means there is difference listening ability before and after giving song as media. Besides, most of students felt fun, active, relax, enjoy, and serious in the teaching and learning listening process.

Abstract

The research aimed to describe how series picture is able to improve the students writing ability of Eleventh students of MA Miftahul Ulum Cermenan Jombang. the researcher conducted action research by four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of the research were 30 students of the eleventh grade of MA Miftahul Ulum Cermenan Jombang in 2021/2022 academic year. This study was implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four meetings. The data of the study were gathered through the following instruments: observation checklists, field notes, and test. The data were analyzed to obtain the findings of the research. The findings showed that the appropriate ways used in implementing series picture consisted of the following steps: (1) leading students to the material to be done with familiar and interesting picture, (2) giving examples of essays with interesting series pictures, (3) explanation of writing techniques with interesting series pictures, (4) explanation of the elements of writing simple essays, (5) Making an essay with the interesting and familiar series pictures (6) Repairing the teacher's correction results, (7) Asking students to give questions.
