Abstract

Language is an ability possessed by someone to communicate with others, both verbal communication, writing, facial expressions, sign language, gestures, and others. Language skills in children always develop according to their age level. Therefore it is very necessary stimulation from parents and control of these developments because it will affect and determine how the child’s next language development. It can be done by parents by giving examples of good language to children, talking about positive things and easily understood by children.Keywords: Stimulation, Language Ability, Communication, Telling Stories

Abstract

Early children educations are one form of education that focuses on laying a foundation towards grown and physical development, intelligence, social-emotional, languages and communication according to tho the uniqueness and stage of development that is passed by early childhood. Early children's education basically covers all the efforts take it by educator and parents in the process to get care, and education for children with creat an environment of children can explore experiences that provide opportunities for them to recognize and understand the learning experient they have gained from the environment. Through observing, imitating, and experimenting which takes places repeated and increases the full the children's potentials and intelligence.Keywords: Activities, Concentration, Communication

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the K-W-L-A strategy on students' reading comprehension at Man 4 Agam. It is a quasi-experimental study. A test was utilized as a tool by researchers to collect data. There were 30 questions, however 3 of them were found to be invalid following the validity and reliability tests. The researcher corrected the invalid questions so they could be used again. Eleventh-grade student social studies at MAN 4 Agam took part in this research. There are 40 students consisting of two classes. The control group is eleventh-grade social 1. This class consists of 20 students. The experimental group is eleventh grade social 2 which consists of 20 students. Paired sample t-test research results, the K-W-L-A strategy significantly improved the reading comprehension abilities of the students. With a significance value smaller than 0.05, namely 0.000. This shows that pupils' reading comprehension skills can be considerably improved by effectively implementing the K-W-L-A approach.
