Abstract

Many methods have been developed to get the optimal result in forecasting. One of them that will be used in this paper is using Neural Network for forecasting. The result will be compared with GARCH(1,1) in the terms of Means Absolute Deviation (MAD) and Means Square Error (MSE). Besides that the accuracy and the power to damp the jump will be observed. The data is currency rate from 4 countries in Asia taken during the Asian Monetary Crisis from 1997 up to 1999 since the jump was happened in that series. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Ada banyak metode yang telah dikembangkan untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal dari suatu peramalan. Salah satu yang akan diulas pada makalah ini adalah penggunaan Neural Network atau jaringan saraf untuk mendapatkan hasil peramalan yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan optimasi dan akurasinya. Hasil dari metode ini akan dibandingkan dengan metode GARCH(1,1) dalam bentuk Means Absolute Deviation (MAD) dan Means Square Error (MSE). Selain itu dilakukan pula pengamatan terhadap peredaman jump (perubahan mendadak). Data yang digunakan adalah nilai tukar mata uang dari empat negara di Asia yang diambil selama krisis moneter di Asia. Kata Kunci: Backpropagation, MAD, MSE, GARCH(1,1), jump.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design Mathematical models that can determine the selling volume as an alternative to improve the markup percentage. Mathematical models was designed with double regression statistic. Selling volume is a function of markup, market condition, and substitute condition variables. The designed Mathematical model has fulfilled by the test of: error upon assumption, accurate model, validation model, and multi collinear problem. The Mathematical model has applied in application program with expectation that the application program can give: (1) alternative to decide percentage markup for user, (2) Illustration of gross profit estimation that will be achieve for selected percentage markup, (3) Illustration of estimation percentage of the units sold that will be achieve for selected percentage markup, and (4) Illustration of total net income before tax will get for specific period. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model Matematis guna menetapkan volume penjualan, sebagai alternatif untuk menentukan persentase markup harga jual produk. Model Matematis dirancang menggunakan Statistik Regresi Berganda. Volume penjualan merupakan fungsi dari variabel markup, kondisi pasar, dan kondisi pengganti. Model Matematis yang dirancang sudah memenuhi uji: asumsi atas error, akurasi model, validasi model, dan masalah multikolinearitas. Rancangan model Matematis tersebut diterapkan dalam program aplikasi dengan harapan dapat memberi: (1) alternatif bagi pengguna mengenai berapa besar markup yang sebaiknya ditetapkan, (2) gambaran perkiraan laba kotor yang akan diperoleh setiap pemilihan markup, (3) gambaran perkiraan persentase unit yang terjual setiap pemilihan markup, dan (4) gambaran total laba kotor sebelum pajak yang dapat diperoleh pada periode yang bersangkutan. Kata kunci: model Matematis, aplikasi program, volume penjualan, markup, laba kotor.

Abstract

In this paper the Ising model is modified by considering its parameters as a vector that depends on the neighborhoods of the image's pixels. We applied this modification for generating binary images, provided the original image is given. An example is exposed as a result of simulation using Gibbs sampler.

Abstract

The library attendance at Petra Christian University is decreasing. We are interested in finding the factors affecting that attendance. In this study, we applied the LIBQUAL one of library quality measurements, and added some external and internal factors to answer the quest. Additionally, we also used the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) as tools for analyzing the constructs. As the result we found out that the factor that affecting library attendance is library as place, and the factor that doesn’t affect library attendace is teacher motivation.

Abstract

PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Balaraja is a company in feed production. One of the ways for PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia maintaining their feed quality is through documentation of all activity that related with production in procedure. The last update of procedures was in 2008, so some procedures are no longer applicable in company’s current condition. So that, the procedures must be updated and those procedures can be used as work guidance and work standard. Total of 8 procedures, 34 work instructions, 14 forms, 10 appendixes in Production Department and 13 procedures, 109 work instructions, 31 forms, 7 appendixes in QSHE Department, which had been revised.

Abstract

In this thesis we modeled the sales pipeline using auto regressive moving average, ARIMA(p,d,q) under R-Software. Those selected models are used to forecast the standard water pipe and black, standard water pipe and medium standard black pipe, SCH 40 standard water pipe and black, BDA standard water pipe, standard water pipe, medium B, coil, and furniture pipe future demands.

Abstract

Reliability centered maintenance adalah suatu metode yang digunakan untuk menen­tukan apa yang harus dilakukan supaya aset fisik yang di­miliki dapat tetap terus diguna­kan. Peng­olahan metode reliability centered maintenance membutuhkan jawaban responden se­ba­gai sum­ber utama. Jawaban responden yang tidak selalu dapat mutlak ‘ya’ dan ‘tidak’ me­nyebabkan adanya ketidak pastian. Metode fuzzy akan menghilangkan ketidakpastian dengan mem­­­berikan kebenaran secara gradasi sehingga jawaban responden dapat digunakan didalam me­­tode reliability centered maintenance. Data dan jawaban dari bagian pemeliharaan mengenai komponen mesin yang meng­alami ke­gagalan akan diproses menggunakan kedua metode (reliability centered maintenance dan fuzzy lo­gic) sehingga dapat ditentukan jenis pemeliharaan. Hasil jenis pe­meliharaan metode RCM meng­gunakan pendekatan fuzzy logic lebih efektif dan tepat da­lam mendeteksi jenis pe­meliha­ra­an bagi mesin perusahaan.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) department is a department in charge of hiring, training, assess, and provide compensation to employees, pay attention to their labor relations, health and safety, and justice isses. Meeting the employees’ needs, the HR department must have a clear workflow. Therefore the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is a necessity to be updated, so that there will be no social gap between the parties. In this work, we updated eight SOPs that have no longer accordance with the aggrement of HR department and its vendors which includes several processes in the HR medical of vendor by vendor N and vendor BL. The SOP for hospital regristration processes was created for Hospital Handover Project such that each group (the east and the west group) can handle those processes individually.

Abstract

The purposes of this thesis are designing a planned maintenance and man power planning in the maintenance department of PT X Previously, the PT X used breakdown and cor­rec­tive maintenance. The maintenance procedures will be revised into corrective main­tenance and when continuous pro­duction system is executed, corrective & preventive maintenance will be applied. For defining those procedures, first we identified the machines’ failure and redesign­ed the production system. Additionally, we propose four level of man power planning based on their skill and company management want it divide into four level.

Abstract

In 2013 PT. X experienced downtime frequently. Some of the failures that lead to the downtime are broken shaft helical gear, broken fan funnel axle, broken long axle; broken worm, worn down drig laker, and worn down blade. The maintenance strategy in the company has not covered all failures specifically. Thus, this project is Reliability Centered Maintenance Method (RCM) with Dempster-Shafer approach which covers those failures. It was found that condition based maintenance is the best strategy for maintaining each failure. This strategy is easily to apply since the company has implemented autonomous and planned maintenance.
