Abstract

ABSTRACT.  Effect of substitution of feather meal by rise bran on body weight gains, feed consumption, and feed efficiency of the Aceh bullocks. The experiment was conducted at Lambaro Angan Kecamatan Darussalam. Four Aceh bullocks, 12 – 14 months old, with 140 – 160 kg weight were used as experiment materials. Experimental design of latin Square (4 x 4) with the treatments of 0 percent, 1 percent, 2 percent, 3 percent of feather meal were applied. The result showed that the feed consumption has no significant different (P 0.05), but the body weight gains, and feed efficiency were highly significant different (P 0.01). The used of 3 percent (0.6 kg) feather meal in the ration has increased body weight gains and feed efficiency more than other treatments.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Effect of feeding subtitution of feather meal by rice bran on the body weight gains, feed consumtion, and feed efficiency of the lokal lambs. The experiment was conducted at Experimental Farm, Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University. Faour lokal male sheep 9-11 months old, with 8,5-11.5 kg weight used as experiment materials. Experimental design of Latin Square (4x4) with the treatments of 0,7 14 and 21 gram of feather powder was applied. The result show that the feed consumption, body weight gains, and feed efficiency has highly significant different (P0.01). The up talking of 21 gram feather powder in ration has increased feed consumption, body, weight gains, and feed efficiency more than of other treatments.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The experiment was conducted in Experimental Farm of Agriculture Fakulty, Syiah Kuala University. The purpose of the experiment was to study the effect of mixed Water hyiacinth molasses and urea fed on live-weight gains of Aceh Bullocks. Four Aceh Bullocks (live weight: 140-170 kg, age : 12 months) were used design was Latin Square which were divided into treatments and 4 periods. The treatments were : 0 percent (A), 15 percent (B), 30 percent (C) and 45 percent (D). Water hyiacinth. The resulth of this experiment showed that no significant differences on feed consumption and live weight gains. However, among the treatments, feed consumption of treatment 45 percent tends to decrease. On the other hand, live-weight gains Aceh Bullocks of treatment 45 percent tends to increase. There was a significant difference on feed conversion. Feed conversion of treatment 45 percent is the best.
