For the second purpose was reached with universal design, selection of materials and environmentally friendly interior elements that support energy efficiency. As well as on the third objective embodied in the arrangement of the layout, as well as the circulation of the user who adheres to the technical and architectural

Abstract

The dearth of some popular wood species phenomenon is actually inversely proportional with wood growing age. Potential pinewood which is widely available, often used for short-term needs; for example as containers. Therefore, pine waste become increase. This problem is not balanced because there is only a small number of craftsmen who could process it into an attractive product. This situation caused pine waste price become fairly cheap. To overcome this phenomenon, the designer designs modular panels as interior products by utilizing pine waste from containers. The design is based on “Eco-Sustainability" concept which consisting of two main words: Eco and Sustainability. It is based on the current trends and uses various theories as the design limits. Design’s method in this process is    Brain's Creative Development Spiral which consists of 5 steps, such as (1) Hypothesis and Experiment, (2) Image, (3) Compare, (4) Critique, (5) Present and Test. As the result, there are 5 series of modular panel products with different shape and pattern: Element Series, Earth Series, Universe Series, OWater Serie, and OFire Serie.

The rattan powder waste is made into a rattan powder board to perform material efficiency as an act of environmental care. As rattan powder was only used as a fuel on heating rattan, a test needs to be done in advance to find out the final product result and the target market. The design method used includes observation, programming, design concept, experiment, design schematic, final design, prototype, and business plan. Abstract

Interior lamp armature design with ceramic and wood as materials is to consider the mechanism character of both materials. These materials can be collaborated as such to complement in both design and construction system. The pre-eminence of ceramic in general has better pressure quality compared to pull quality, yet the limitation of ceramic is its vulnerability. Related to lamp armature design, ceramic has a character that can reflect lights. Wood which has a character that absorb lights and high durability will be combined to improve the ceramic material character, and relatively low weight and high resistance to chemical and electrical influences. From these collaboration, both mechanical character of the materials compliments each other in designing interior lamp armatures. Armature lamp design also pays attention to market trend, user needs, and theory of literature review. The achieved results are to optimize the mechanical properties of ceramic and wood materials in lamp armature construction system. This design realization helps develop the creativity of local Indonesian craftsmen and becomes a new breakthrough for the interior product design industry.

Photography has been progressing and developing rapidly in recent years. It can be a business that is promising and much sought after by consumers from various backgrounds. To support this business, a facility that can accommodate photography activities especially for start-up entrepreneurs, is needed. Therefore, the designer comes up with an idea to design a photography center based on co-working space in Surabaya that can facilitate start up photography businesses as well as to accommodate meetings among photographers and between photographers and their clients. This concept is appointed to be the solution of the problem, which is the activity of photography that tends to be individual and leads to lack of interaction. This concept is applied in the design into an open space layout, creating the impression of motion, flexible and multi-functional rooms. Main facilities designed include store, gallery, plain and thematic photo studio, communal lounge, editing room, meeting room, and workshop area.
