Abstract

The city of Pekanbaru has a population of 1,091,088 with a minimum wage of only Rp 2,557,486. This study aims to determine the effect of population and city minimum wages on the level of open unemployment in Pekanbaru in 2010- 2017. This research is a quantitative research, with data obtained from secondary data, namely from BPS Kota Pekanbaru in 2010-2017. Data analysis with multiple regression. The results of the study show that: 1) The population has a negative and significant effect on the level of open unemployment in Pekanbaru City 2010-2017. 2) the city minimum wage does not significantly influence the unemployment rate in Pekanbaru City 2010-2017. 3) the magnitude of the influence of the total population and the city of Pekanbaru's minimum wage on the unemployment rate of 50.2 percent.

Abstract

The aim of this study to knowing the impact of inflation and the city's minimum wage on the human development index in the city of Pekanbaru. The data used are Human Development Index, Inflation, and City Minimum Wages from 2010 to 2020. The data were analyzed using SPSS Version 25. The findings of this study are partially, inflation has no effect on the human development index in the city of Pekanbaru, while the city's minimum wage has a significant effect on the human development index in the city of Pekanbaru. while simultaneously that inflation and the city's minimum wage affect the human development index in the city of Pekanbaru. and the magnitude of the effect of inflation and the city's minimum wage on the human development index in Pekanbaru city of 98.8%, the remaining 1.20% by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of per capita spending and rising inflation on poverty in the city of Pekanbaru. Secondary data for the period 2012-2021 is from the Central Statistics Agency of Pekanbaru City. The data analysis method used multiple linear regression. The results of the descriptive research show that the average number of poor people is 3.2010 people, per capita expenditure is 1.4339 and inflation is 0.53 percent. And the results of the study showed that per capita expenditure before the covid-19 pandemic had no effect, while after the covid-19 pandemic there was an effect on the number of poor people, and the increase in inflation before and after the covid-19 pandemic had an effect. Meanwhile, the results of simultaneous research before the covid pandemic had no effect, while after the covid-19 pandemic, all independent variables had an effect on the dependent variable.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out what factors influence the income of street vendors from Panam-Pekanbaru (Case Study: Push/Porch Cart Vendors). Methodology/approach – the data in this study were collected through a questionnaire, the total sample was 99 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. data analysis techniques using the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. Findings – The results of the study show that the variables that have a significant effect on the income of traders are experience (X1), prices (X3) and sales (X5), while the variables that do not have a significant effect on the income of traders are labor (X2), working hours (X4). While the results of the F test that all independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable. And the magnitude of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable is 94.56 percent while the remaining 5.44 percent is influenced by other variables outside the research. Novelty/value – that the factors that affect traders' income are experience, price and sales results. Key words : experience, labor, price, working hours, sales and income.
