Abstract

Abstract: Functional Capacity Of Nurses And Midwives, Hospital Preparedness For Emergency And Disaster. Indonesia is a country that lies between two major continents and two great oceans. In addition, Indonesian territory lies on the line ring of fire that led to a natural phenomenon caused many disasters. Nurses and midwives are the functional elements which has a very big role in the hospital. There are some facilities that disaster preparedness is not owned by the hospital as well as the absence of a forum specifically set up and implement management Hospital For Emergency And Disaster Preparedness in an integrated manner. The purpose of this study was to determine the functional capacity of nurses and midwives Hospital of Surakarta in the development of hospital programs for emergency and disaster preparedness. This research is a descriptive study that seeks to explain the preparedness of nurses and midwives in implementing management Hospital For Emergency And Disaster Preparedness integrally artery mean pressure with a cross-sectional approach through research hypothesis testing. The population was nurses and midwives were 30 samples using descriptive statistical tests. Based on the results of research and discussion, we can conclude that from the results of a study of 30 respondents can be drawn the conclusion that the majority of nurses and midwives have good knowledge in emergency preparedness. Of the 14 components of the contribution of nurses and midwives obtained several components that felt still less that of the formation of clusters and disaster preparedness team Suggestion. put forward in this study is terhadap education and training of nurses and midwives to improve management capacity in disaster preparedness

Abstract

Abstract: Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Preparedness Indoor Simulation, Volunteer Corps (KSR). The entire people of Indonesia are expected to prepare for disasters. This is done because Indonesia is a country with a fairly high vulnerability to disasters. All elements of society is obliged to make successful of disaster preparedness program. In terms of disaster preparedness, society was divided into groups of masyarakat terlatih, awam khusus and awam. Surakarta Health Polytechnic has been successfully empower youth element as health volunteers through disaster preparedness training activities incorporated in the activities of KSR Unit Jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta. The activities carried out periodically and continuously in the implementation of the program, including disaster preparedness. Purpose to evaluate the increase in disaster preparedness through disaster preparedness indoor simulation method at KSR Unit Jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta. The study was comparative experimental study design with one group pretest-posttest with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all members of KSR Unit Jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta (150 people). The average increase in value between pretest and posttest is 1.31. T test results that the value t = 17.480 > t table (0.05, df 14) = 1,761 with a 95% confidence level showed α = 0.00 <0.05. There was a significant increase in disaster preparedness through disaster preparedness indoor simulation method in KSR Unit Jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta.

Abstract

Background: Head and neck injuries as the etiology of death for road users. then there are efforts to overcome them with protective equipment for the head ie the helmet, the use of the right helmet is expected to reduce the burden of collisions directly to the head. Furthermore, when an accident occurs in a patient who is still wearing a helmet, the helper must understand the technique and how to properly remove the helmet. Purpose this community enganggement is necessary to obtain health education through community service in order to improve their knowledge and skills. Methods: In the implementation using question and answer lecture and demonstration models, with the module learning media. Pre-test and post-test is done by asking questions. Results: An increase in the number of correct answers between before and after health education was given. The average increase in the number of correct answers is between 3 to 4. Conclusion: After health education knowledge and skills increased.

Abstract

Background. To date, the COVID-19 pandemic has become a major problem in all countries of the world. Indonesia registered as a country with a significant drop in cases. The highest percentage of outcomes in COVID-19 survivors were fatigue and shortness of breath. Medical rehabilitation therapy for COVID-19 survivors is critically needed to maintain and improve quality of life by preventing or reducing the development of functional impairment and disability and by ameliorating and reducing complications. Methods. Quasi-experimental research design with pretest-posttest design on COVID-19 survivors. The sample is 120 respondents consisting of 60 respondents in the Deep Breathing group and 60 respondents in the Prone position group. Results. The study showed that there was a significant difference in oxygen saturation value (ρ value 0.004 < 0.05) between the Deep Breathing and the Prone in COVID-19 survivors. Conclusion. There is a significant difference (ρ 0.004) in oxygen saturation values in COVID-19 survivors who are given Deep Breathing and Prone position.
