Abstract

Online learning conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic requires teachers to be creative in implementing strategies to convey material by building a strong and progressive pedagogical atmosphere. This study aims to describe the use of literature teaching materials based on the Wiki-Structured Application (WSA) as a solution to a pedagogical crisis so that online learning by teachers is substantially as effective as offline learning. Indonesian junior high school teachers were involved in this study. Quantitative-descriptive method is used in this study. Data collection was carried out by using a survey of learning using these teaching materials. Presentation of data uses descriptive statistics either using numerical or graphical representations. The results show that 1) The teacher feels that WSA is helped in managing teaching materials, especially in literature 2) WSA is effectively used as a medium for learning literature 3) WSA contains features that can visualize abstract concepts in literature subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an evaluation tool for reading comprehension tests based on TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) using the Track Change feature. The resulting evaluation tool is expected to be a reference for teachers in assessing reading comprehension skills. The testmoz application is relevant software in the form of a test tool, the application will assist teachers in carrying out direct assessments in providing online assessments to students. The research approach used is a qualitative research approach of the type of development (Research and Development). The data was collected through a literature study, the design of a reading comprehension assessment tool model using testmoz, and the results of testing the use of the product. Data collection techniques in the form of expert validation and product trial results. The research output is in the form of scientific articles to be published in national journals and products in the form of an evaluation tool for reading comprehension tests using the testmoz application, as well as additional outputs of 1 IPR product from research results. TKT measured is the level 2.

Abstract

The smartphone is an electronic device that is portable or easy to carry everywhere. The influence of technology makes students dependent on smartphones, causing various impact. The Negative effects that occur in the brain result are difficulty in concentrating the real world, wasted time, and others. Does will possibility generating the learning process which shows students are not optimal. Response-stimulus of time from learning activities very disturbing when students play which smartphones then listening will explain the material. Therefore, the process of cognitive absorption is lower. The positive impacts of smartphones are to facilitate communications, increase knowledge, the emergence of new learning methods. Literacy is the ability to read and write. Literacy movements can reduce addiction on the smartphone, especially during learning. Besides counseling about smartphone use. The purpose of the study is to find out the result of the students’ captivity during learning to describe phenomena that occur in the classroom during the learning process. The method applied to collect the questionnaire through the description. This research was conducted in SMAN 1 Batujajar, a sample of class XI IPS 3 which contained 41 people. The result of this study indicates that the influence of smartphones can inhibit the learning process.

Abstract

Researchers find problems in learning short story texts students find it difficult to express ideas and imagination. Researchers use the think talk write method to motivate students and develop ideas and imagination in writing short story texts. The Think Talk Write method is a way of teaching students to develop skills with their own business. This study aims to determine the differences in the ability and implementation of student learning applied to the treatment of Discovery Learning models in the control class and students who applied the think talk write treatment method in the experimental class. In this study the method used is the Quasi Experimental Design used is the pretest-postest Control Group Design. The objects that were sampled in this study were 30th grade XI-A students, and 30th grade XI-B students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the think talk write method is better than the Discovery Learning model. When students are treated with the think talk write method the value obtained is very good, can be seen from the posttest results the average student gets a score of 76.70, compared to when students are treated (treatment) using the average Discovery Learning model the students only get a score of 56.50.

Abstract

The problems discussed in this study, namely: 1) What kinds of subjects are contained in the novel He is in my 1990s? 2) What method is used in this study? 3) How is the study of the majors contained in the novel He Is My Left in 1990 ?. This study aims to make the reader get a certain effect on the style of language which tends to refer to several types of lectures such as the majors of Anaphora, Hyperbole, Association, Personification, Rhetoric, Metonymy, Synesthesia, and Antithetics. This study uses the stylistic method, which is knowledge related to style and style of language and refers more to language style. The results of the stylistic analysis of the novel He is My Left in 1990 indicate that the novel contained various princes. The conclusion of this study is that the novel He is My Left in 1990 is in 3 majors, namely the comparison, the repetition and the contradiction. After being analyzed from all the majors, among others, such as the comparison ratio consisting of: hyperbole, metonymy, epithet, personification, synesthesia, association and simile. Repetition majors consist of: pleonasm, epizeukis, anadiplosis, mesodiplosis, and anaphora. The principle of the conflict consists of: contra interminist diction.

Abstract

The "Kamus Kecil" poem by Joko Pinurbo has a unique and simple language structure. The unusual process of creation makes the reader interested. It is related to the unique and simple language used to be unique to become research material. The purpose of this study was to analyze the meaning in a poem by Joko Pinurbo or who was familiar with Jokpin entitled "Kamus Kecil". The method used in the research on Joko Pinurbo's poem "Kamus Kecil" uses qualitative research methods that examine the "content" of the object under study. In addition, this poem was dissected using a semiotic approach which converged on the assure theory about the development of linguistics. In the poem "Kamus Kecil" Jokpin stated that inspiration did not need to be sought. He is in everyday life. In other words, Jokpin wants to state that so easy poetry is created only by simple and meaningful wordplay. So that in the poem "Kamus Kecil" one of the most unique poems that researchers read. The results of the study of the poem "Kamus Kecil" are divided into three aspects; symbols, icons, indices. Among the symbols contained in the poem are signs that are generated by simple diction making the meaning contained in the poem have a unique allure. The simple and intriguing play of words raised from daily activities is a characteristic of Jokpin's poetry.

Abstract

This research is conducted due to the problems found in research field. The problems found in this research are the existence of code-mixing used by the 11th grade students of SMKN 1 Cimahi when they were asked to retell a short story. Code-mixing happens when language speakers mix traditional language with Indonesian language at once. In other words, a person who speaks in main Indonesian language has the autonomous function. While the traditional language, is only an auxiliary tool that has no autonomous function. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research. Observation and questionnaire are implemented as the instruments of this research. The population of this research is all of 11th- grade-student of SMKN 1 Cimahi and the sample contains 25 students of 11 IOP A class. The questionnaire was conducted to 25 students, but the observation was only conducted to 5 students. This research found that students often use traditional language when they speak in Indonesian language. Unconsciously, students frequently use kecap penganteb when they speaking.
