Abstract

Research aimed to describe stress management of client with mental disorder after hospitalization. This study used the collecting data with in depth  interview to 10 participants and families . This research showed that stressor of client with mental disorder were undisciplined taking, medicine, unacceptable of environment, shy and  being excluded. Appraissal of stressor were shy, angry and feeling of unbelieve by other. Coping resources were family, society evironment and positive believe. Coping mechanism that used were sharing with others, do activity and blame others. Patient with mental disorder relap because of lack of self management, family support, and in conductive environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce health education media in form of Video Compact Disk (VCD). The first disk consist of method how to take care of patient with social isolation and the second disk consist of method how to take care of patient with violence behaviour. The implementation of audiovisual media is giving for family in Psyciatric Ward Banyumas hospital. The family divided in two groups, the first group was given health education about social isolation and the second group was given health education about violence behaviour. Analizise method used frequency distribution and the family respon with question. The implementation of this media showed that after giving family education, the family knowledge about caring patient with social isolation and violence behaviour was increased.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the behavior of people with mental disorders who are shackled in the district of Puskesmas Sokaraja II. We use qualitative fenomenology research design. The data collecting use indepth interview to 13 participants , they are families, community and health care workers. According to the research result, care service for the shackled patients including food and bath service. The reason of the family for shackling are self and environment harm, risk of killing someone, wandering around and disturbing the environment. Factors that influence shackling is that mental disorder is untreatable, dangerous, stigma that hospital care does not solve the problem, fund and health insurance factor that make them think that mental disorder is the family’s responsibility.

Abstract

For people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), to be diagnozed AIDS is a big problem. Psychologic problem of PLWHA will lead negative behaviour toward himself such as tend to suicide since the transmission of HIV/AIDS will be cut off if it is done. Therefore, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can be given to PLWHA to develop aceeptance and commitment behaviour. The aim of this study is to know the impact of ACT toward PLWHA aceptance and commitment to himself and his society. It is an experimental design with non randomized pretest and posttest with control group design. Purposive sampling method is used in this study. The result shows that there was significant differences of acceptance and commitment among experimental group after receiving ACT (p=.000).

Abstract

The design of this study is a "Quasi experimental pre and post test with control group by the intervention of self-help groups. The intervention group the day I: pre-test, the third day of self-helppgroups six sessions over three weeks and the fourth week post-test. In the control group pre-test day l and day seven post test. Way of purposive sampling to sample as many as 40 families. Means of collecting data using questionnaires family characteristics and family coping questionnaire. The results showed an increase in the ability of families with mentally retarded children were significantly (p value = 0.000). Recommended to establish and implement self-helppgroups for families who have children mental retardation.
