Abstract

The objective of study was to determine the effect of relaxation on anxiety and sleep quality in ICU patients. This study used quasi Experimental research design with Pre and Post test Control Group Design. Sample of this study is ICU patients that were 56 respondents, consisted of 28 respondents provided a relaxation and dzikir intervention and 28 respondents as a control group. Data were analyzed by univariate frequency distribution table, while the bivariate data using paired t-test, Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney. Research procedures performed by observing and assessing check the level of anxiety and sleep quality before and after intervention. Relaxation dhikr influence the change in the level of anxiety and sleep quality. In the treatment group p-value of 0.001 anxiety levels and sleep quality 0.001, while the p-value control group anxiety levels 0,001 dan 1.00 sleep quality. Independent test anxiety levels p-value of 0.001 and 0.001 sleep quality. Relaxation and dzikir influence the change level of anxiety and sleep quality. In the control group satitistik result there are significant differences, although in severe anxiety kategiori, can relaxation and dzikir be recommended as a nursing intervention to improve the quality of patient sleep and anxiety in hospital.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore the effect of pocket book and video diabetic management toward knowledge and compliance level of diabetic management and blood glucose level. Design that employed was quasy ekperimental with non equivalen control group and was conducted in the time series. There were 38 respondents distributed into two groups, one of each consist of 19 respondents. Based on the Wilcoxon statistical test, the results showed that there was a significant different in the post test 2 both in the video group group (p= 0,004) and pocket book group (p= 0.001), in the knowledge level and diabetic management (video p=0.010, pocket book p= 0.005). However, there was not significant different in the blood glucose level for the both groups ( p 0.05). Based on the result, it is recommended that implementation of intervention both for video and pocket book diabetic management should be underwent periodically ino 7 days maximally, therefore the expected goals can be gained.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the effect on the number of larvae modified ovitrap trapped. This research was quasy experiment. The subjects were 80 homes with attached 200 ovitrap consisting of 100 pieces ovitrap modified: hay infusion 10% and 100 pieces of modified ovitrap: waterwells at four RT in the Village Tembalang and Bulusan. The result showed that the rate of HI, CI, BI and ABJ on modified ovitrap: hay infusion 10% higher than the modified ovitrap: water wells. The results found significant differences between the modified ovitrap with hay soaking water modifiedovitrap: water wells to the number of larvae (p = 0.001). It is recommended that communities should play an active role in eradicating the mosquito Aedes aegypti with installation ovitrap modified to reduce Aedes aegypti mosquito populations by breaking the cycle of life.
