Abstract

Abstract

The Meaning of Hizb in the Qur'an: Revealing the Moral Message of the Qur'an about Identity PoliticsThis article discusses the moral message of the Qur'anic verses about hizb in relation to identity politics. This study is motivated by the use of the term hizb which is not in line with the moral message of the Koran and tends to be misused for the benefit of power politics. To reveal the moral message of the Koran used qualitative research by making the verses of the Koran about hizb as the object of study. Al-Qur'an verses about hizb are described thematically with the double movement theory approach, Fazlur Rahman. The results of this study indicate that the verses about hizb imply a moral message that is directly related to identity politics, especially the relationship between the existence of human plurality and divine principles. This relationship is formed by the existence of religiosity which supports the maintenance of ethical values. In addition, progressive ideas born from a nation's democracy always rest on ethical and rational truths. Ethical truth directs people consciously to maintain their identity without ignoring rational truth. Meanwhile, rational truth is placed properly in maintaining national unity in the discourse of democracy

Abstract

Several authors of journal articles discuss Surah al-Nūr verses 11-20 related to the ifki hadith. The author considers that some of these articles are strongly influenced by Abdullah Saeed's theory because there are aspects of the Qur'an's linguistic and historical context, both micro and macro, as well as contemporary contexts. In this theory there is the story of 'Aisyah r.a. that was slandered at the time of the Prophet known as the ifki hadith which was later enshrined in Surah al-Nūr verses 11-20. The purpose of this study is to elaborate on the extent to which the authors of the article contextualize surah al-Nūr verses 11-20. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with library research. The theory used in this study is Abdullah Saeed's theory with a contextual approach. The findings of this study are that in general, the articles that study Surah al-Nūr verses 11-20 have fulfilled the theory put forward by Abdullah Saeed. One of the articles that fulfill Abdullah Saeed's contextual interpretation is the article written by 'Ayun Masfufah that this article takes the past context and then relates it to the current context.

Abstract

This paper aims to strengthen the counter-narrative strategy in cyberspace deradicalization, especially the production of persuasive alternative narrative content by making the universal values of the verses of the Koran the source. This paper also discusses universal values for online deradicalization. The slow process of world deradicalization makes propaganda narratives run rampant and cases of radicalism are rampant. This is more due to the weak content of counter-narratives and alternative narratives in online media. To explore the universal value of the verses of the Koran which will be used as the main narrative, a semantic approach to the Koran is used and validated by Schwartz's value theory. The results of this study show that peace verses have complex universal values. Theoretically, the values of peace are classified based on their fulfillment of the six value theories: beliefs, goals, specifics, standards and criteria, relative priorities, and guiding action. These values can be used as the basis for the production of persuasive alternative narratives in cyberspace by considering the dimensions of factuality (narratives that match reality), plausibility (cognitive acceptance that matches the knowledge of the recipient of the message), and consistency (narrative elements that are coherent, quality, reasonable and argumentative).
