<![CDATA[The problem in this research was the relationship of learning motivation with learning achievement of student writing. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of learning motivation with the achievement of writing grade X students. To achieve that goal, the research approach was quantitative using ex-post facto method. The population of the study was students of class X. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling. The results of this study obtained the average learning motivation of 77.8 and writing achievement achievement of 83.1. Pearson correlation test results obtained rcountvalue of 0.457, which means variable X correlated with variable Y. Through regression test coefficient of 20.9% and regression equation Y = 59.139 + 0.194X. It can be concluded that the higher the students' learning motivation, the higher the learning achievement of the writing they get. Conversely, the lower the motivation of their learning, the lower the learning achievement of writing acquired.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah hubungan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar menulis siswa. Sehubungan dengan itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji hubungan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi menulis siswa kelas X. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, pendekatan penelitian adalah kuantitatif menggunakan metode ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X. Sampel ini diambil secara cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh rerata motivasi belajar sebesar 77,8 dan prestasi belajar menulis sebesar 83,1. Hasil uji korelasi pearson diperoleh nilai rhitung sebesar 0,457, yang bermakna variabel X berkorelasi dengan variabel Y. Melalui koefisien uji regresi sebesar 20,9% dan persamaan regresinya Y= 59,139+0,194X. Dapat disimpulkan semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa, semakin tinggi prestasi belajar menulis yang mereka peroleh.
