Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Google Classroom and zoom in the Environmental Education course on the critical thinking skills of Khairun University Geography Education students. The research approach used was a quasi experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group experimental design. Data analysis with parametic statistics for hypothesis testing, namely covariance analysis (Ancova) using SPSS 22 for windows with a significance level of 0.05. The research was carried out in the Geography Education Study Program, Khairun University with student respondents who contracted the Environmental Education course. The results of this study indicate that there is a difference in the effect of learning between discovery learning and conventional models that both use google classroom and zoom on students' critical thinking skills with the Sig. 0.00.

Abstract

The government has established the tourism sector as the leading sector of the national economy. This means that the tourism sector is a motor thet can drive economic growth in a region. Maitara Island has considerable potential to be developed as a tourist village in North Maluku Province, especially since Maitara Island has long been known to the people of Indonesai through the 1000 rupiah denomination. Information related to tourist objects in an area is very important for tourists to visit, while for stakeholders this information is useful in developing the tourism. This research was conducted to inventory places on Maitara Island that have the potential to be developed as tourist destinations and to map these potentials based on geographic information systems. The object inventory method is carried out using GPS and camera devices as documentation, while the mapping of these objects is carried out using the ArcGIS application. The results of the inventory show that Maitra Island has natural and cultural landscapes that can be developed as maritime tourism, sports tourism, cultural tourism, and science tourism.

Abstract

Pulau Morotai memiliki potensi bahaya gempabumi yang tinggi, namun tidak diimbangi dengan kapasitas daerah yang tinggi dalam penanggulangan bencana. Daerah dengan potensi bahaya dan kondisi masyarakat yang rentan yang tinggi maka potensi risiko bencana juga tinggi. Maka perlu dilakukan Pengurangan Risiko Bencana (PRB) dari segala sektoral, salah satunya melalui pendidikan dengan peningkatan literasi bencana. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model learning by doing terhadap kemampuan literasi bencana konteks gempabumi di MTs Negeri 1 Pulau Morotai. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment design dengan rancangan experiment pretest-postest control group. Analisis data dengan statistik parametik untuk uji hipotesis yaitu analisis kovarian (Anacova) dengan menggunakan SPSS 22 for windows dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05 yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji Normalitas dan uji Homogenitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran antara model learning by doing dengan konvensional terhadap kemampuan literasi bencana konteks gempabumi dengan nilai Sig. 0,00.
