Abstract

Abstract: Development of Chemical Representation-Based Modules on Materials Interaction Between Particles. This study aims to develop and determine the validity/feasibility of the module, as well as to describe the responses of teachers and students to the chemical representation-based module on the interaction material between particles that was developed. The research design used research and development according to Borg and Gall which only carried out the first five stages. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of expert validation on aspects of content suitability, construction, readability and attractiveness were 78.65%, 77.79%, 71.44% and 77.14% with high criteria. The teacher's responses to aspects of appropriateness of content, construction, readability and attractiveness were 76.95%, 86.12%, 77.80% and 73.87% with high criteria. Students' responses to the attractiveness and readability aspects were 80.1% and 81.56%, respectively, with very high criteria. Based on this, the module based on chemical representation on the interaction material between particles developed is valid and suitable for use as teaching materials in schools. Keywords: module, interaction between particles, chemical representation.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jppk.v11.i1.2022.06

Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed to describe the improvement of students problem solving skills through discovery learning and student readiness in online learning. This study is a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. The population were all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 3 Bandar Lampung. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Problem solving skills, student readiness in online learning were analyzed by independent t test and correlation test. The results showed (1) discovery learning is effective to improve problem solving skills on chemical equilibrium material (2) there is a significant relationship between self-control and problem solving skills,(3) there is a significant relationship between the efficacy of using the internet in online learning with problem solving skills (4) there is a significant relationship between self control and the efficacy of using internet in online learning with problem solving skills. Keywords online learning, student readiness, problem solving skills, discovery learning.

Abstract

Abstract: Development of Interactive E-Book Based on Chemical Representation on Electrolysis Cell Topic. This research was aimed to develop an interactive e-book and describe its characteristics and validity as well as to describe the teachers’ and students’ responses of interactive e-book was developed. The research design used Borg and Gall method of research and development which only carried out until the fifth stage, namely the revision stage of the trial results. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Characteristics of interactive e-book based on chemical representation of the electrolysis cell topic was developed, starting with discourses related to everyday life phenomena accompanied by pictures based on chemical representation, equipped with identification columns, explanation columns, observation tables and interactive questions. The results of expert validation on the aspects of content suitability, construction and readability all have very high criteria. Based on this, the interactive   e-book based on the chemical representation on electrolysis cell topic is said to be valid. In addition, the results of the teacher's responses to aspects of the suitability of content, construction and readability as well as the results of student responses to aspects of attractiveness and readability each have very high criteria.                                                                Keywords: interactive e-book, chemical representation, electrolytic cell
