<![CDATA[This research aims to find out the rationality of beginner voters in the regional election of Lampung Governor. This research was done through descriptive quantitative method. The data were collected through structured interviews, observations, and documentation as well as validity and reliability tests using questionnaires. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the rationality of beginner voters focused on the three main aspects: religion, work plans, and education. These three aspects were considered to be more important than other aspects, like vision and mission, track record, ethnicity, and social class. These three aspects have been used as the main basis for beginner voters in deciding their choice, while the other aspects were used as supporting basis to vote the governor.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rasionalitas pemilih pemula dalam pemilihan gubernur Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripif kuantitatif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengunmpulan data; wawancara terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi serta uji validitas dan reliabelitas menggunakan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa rasionalitas pemilih pemula cenderung kepada tiga aspek utama yaitu agama, program kerja dan pendidikan. Ketiga aspek itu dianggap lebih penting dibanding aspek lainnya yaitu, visi dan misi, track record, suku, dan golongan. Ketiga aspek tersebut dijadikan dasar utama bagi pemilih pemula dalam menentukan pilihan, sedangkan aspek lainnya dijadikan sebagai dasar sampingan oleh pemilih pemula dalam memilih gubernur.Kata Kunci : pemilihan gubenur, pemilih pemula, rasionalitas ]]>
