Abstract

Observing the current condition of the Indonesian nation has led to a phenomenon that the country is being hit by the crisis in various aspects of life. Various forms of violation and offense grow and develop in daily life of the community, such as: corruption, collusion, nepotism, and drug (narcotics) and alcohol abuse, theft, robbery and prostitution. In this country, it also begins to emerge the tenet and behavior of radicalism that disturb the community and government. On the other side, nowadays is also faced with the clash and confusion of thought of ‘the contradiction between religion and the State’ embedded to the young generation (millennial generation). The various social problems described above occur due to the low quality of faith and caused the decline of morality and moral degradation of this nation. It needs a fundamental and accurate solution in facing those problems. Improving and rearranging the paradigm, system and orientation of Islamic education according to its framework can be the alternative solution to solve the problems. Islamic education should be a core in the national education curriculum, so that Islamic education will have a complete transformation in people life of this state. A comprehensive and systematic transformation of Islamic education can be done through the following stages: 1) Religious education should be the core in the national education curriculum, and the substance of religious teachings should not be disputed in nation’s life. 2) Religious education in schools and colleges/universities must be taught by qualified and professional teachers and lecturers, and 3) Implementation of religious education materials should fit the needs and age of learners.

Abstract

Coaching skills are very important for children to pray, because prayer is actually going to make children pious and awake from shameful and unjust deeds. Coaching prayer right against children devastating for a child to an adult, if this is not observed, then the practice of prayer is wrong will be done by a child. As a result, children are always the fault in the prayers. Further development of this prayer is the responsibility of educators, especially parents and other educators who have received the trust of children. The pattern of guidance that should be done by educators; First, At-Ta'rif (Introducing), educators have an obligation to introduce prayer, so that in the future children feel strange when I hear the words of the prayer, however, is a human child whose age is different from adults, so in this case the child is very need guidance in recognizing the prayer and the things relating to prayer. After receiving guidance, the child is expected to know that prayer is an obligation that should be are conducted by every Muslim. Second, approach. Among others; a) provoking the spirit of competent children, b) awaken the fear of a child of God, c) reminding them of the virtues perform ablutions, d) strive to always be able to be an example of good role model for children, e) to wake them for work on the morning prayer, f) give attention to familiarize the children daughter prayers at home.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is being hit by a moral crisis. This is due to mistakes in both policy and operational levels in education, economics, politics and law. Educational institutions especially accused of failing to shape the character, moral and noble character of the students. This phenomenon seems to be the basis for universities to think, implement and develop the paradigm and character education system in line with the spirit of Islamic sharia values. Through Islamic education-based educational model that actualized in the process of education in total and comprehensive provide wide space and opportunity to shape the character and personality of children (students) in accordance with the demands of Islamic values. So in the end, the orientation and the ultimate goal of educational activities to realize the individual (Muslim person) and members of society (Muslim community) who have a high quality of faith, noble, character, knowledgeable and professional can be achieved.

Abstract

Observing the phenomenon of shifting similarity, especially in the cultural aspects of recitation (beut) of the Qur'an in the prevention of community life. The Aceh Besar District Government is based on the value of dedication and moral responsibility to intervene through a breakthrough and policy on Beut Al-Qur'an Ba'da Magrib (BABM) Program. The implementation of BABM refers to two main foundations: First, the socio-cultural foundation, in which the seumeubet tradition has been deeply rooted in the Acehnese society carried out in meunasah, mosques, balee seumeubeut or in private homes. Second, the juridical basis, in the form of Law No. 11 of 2016 on the Government of Aceh, and the Regulation of the Regent of Aceh Besar. 53 of 2012 on Guidelines for Implementation Beut Al-Qur'an Ba'da Magrib In Aceh Besar District. The BABM program, which has been running for five years since it was launched in 2012 and continues to date in 604 gampongs in Aceh Besar District, has received good results. First, the BABM program has yielded good results on the development and improvement of the literacy of al-Qur'an for school-aged children in Aceh Besar. Second, the BABM program also has a positive impact on increasing religious understanding among school-aged children through the addition of a number of religious teaching materials taught in BABM programs, as well as changing their character better than ever. Third, through the implementation of the BABM program has also fostered the spirit of religious practice among the community, while reducing the negative impacts and criminality in the community.

Abstract

Studies on religious education teacher’s competences in Aceh could not be separated from studies on state’s intervention toward education. State hegemony occurs in the form of regulation formalization which regulates efforts for improving qualification and competence of teachers. The research showed that the presence of Act No. 14, 2005 and the Government Regulation No. 74, 2008 had been used as legal reference to encourage the improvement of Aceh religious education teachers’ qualification and competence. This is a qualitative study in which triangulation in data collection was used. The data was then collected through documentations, observations, and deep interviews. This work emphasizes that improving teachers’ competences in Islamic education system in Aceh was in accordance to and did not contradict with national education system and moreover strengthen the content of Act No. 14, 1005 and Government Regulation No. 74, 2008. Qualification and competence of religious education teachers in Aceh underwent improvement better than previous term. However, teachers experienced that socialization process and implementation of regulation has yet to receive upmost attention. The study also suggests that religious education teachers’ qualifications and competences will significantly contribute to the development of religious education quality, thus Islamic education transforms intently in national and state relations order.

Abstract

Inventarisasi Mencermati perkembangan sains dan teknologi di tengah masyarakat global kekinian yang sangat pesat dan tidak dapat dibendung. Keduanya --sains dan teknologi-- bergerak secara linier dan sangat cepat mengikuti perkembangan dinamika dan kompleksitas kebutuhan serta perkembangan peradaban masyarakat postmodern. Eksistensi sains dan teknologi tersebut dalam tinjauan Islam mesti dipelajari dan disikapi secara tepat dan bijaksana dengan berasaskan kepada nilai-nilai ketauhidan, kemanusian, dan kealaman, sehingga kehadiranya dapat memberi nilai kebaikan kepada sainstis itu sendiri serta kemaslahatan bagi seluruh masyarakat dunia serta alam lingkungannya. Bukan sebaliknya, berupa kajian dan pengembangan sains dan teknologi yang bebas nilai religious, hanya mengedepankan “paradigma ilmu untuk ilmu” sehingga menghasilkan saintis yang sekuler dan tidak berkarakter, serta memberi dampak yang tidak baik terhadap perkembangan dan pencerahan peradaban manusia serta lingkunganya. Pendidikan sains islam merupakan salah satu media yang sistematis dan efektif untuk membangun dan memperkuat karakter bangsa (character building). Seseorang baru bisa disebut orang yang berkarakter (a person of character) apabila tingkah lakunya sesuai dengan kaidah moral. Hal ini memungkinkan dilakukan dan bukan isapan jempol semata, mengingat salah satu fungsi pendidikan adalah membentuk watak dan karakter bangsa serta mengembangkan kemampuan yang dimiliki setiap warganya dalam rangka mencerdaskan bangsa. Konsekuensi logis ini, maka seyogyanya paradigma dan konsep pendidikan sains islami yang dikembangkan di Indonesia mesti berasas kepada nilai-nilai ajaran Islam yang bermuara pada ketauhidan dan rahmatan lilalamin serta nilai-nilai budaya dan kearifan lokal keindonesian, demi melahirkan generasi bangsa yang beragama, berkarakter dan berbudaya.

Abstract

The development of science and technology increasingly encourages renewal efforts in the use of technological results in the learning process. So that teachers are able to use the tools that have been provided by the school in the form of modern or traditional technology, and choose what media to use, and it is possible that these tools are in accordance with the developments and demands of the times. In MAN 1 Bireuen, innovative learning media based on information and communication technology are very helpful for teachers in the learning process, but there are still teachers who have not been able to use them, teachers also have difficulty using IT media and teachers also have difficulty in determining learning media that are in accordance with the material. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's ability to use learning media at MAN 1 Bireuen, and to determine the teacher's constraints in using learning media at MAN 1 Bireuen. The research used is qualitative using a descriptive approach. The research subjects were the principal and two teachers. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the ability of teachers to use learning media at MAN 1 Bireuen is still not good, because there are teachers who cannot enter the power point system into the media. To use learning media, not all can master learning media, except for young teachers who are easy to use media and teachers who have not been able to use media for a long time. Constraints of the head of MAN 1 Bireuen in the use of learning media. First, very limited learning media, such as in completing learning media tools. Second, the lack of funds is also an obstacle for MAN 1 Bireuen. Third, the ability of teachers who are still lacking in the use of media. Fourth, the power grid sometimes goes out.

Abstract

Studies of traditional Islamic educational institutions have tended to show these institutions playing a less prominent social role as society has modernized. This research seeks to show a different phenomenon, namely one in which a traditional Islamic educational institution (dayah) has been able to endure and maintain its important role in society. The socio-cultural dynamics of Aceh have had a contribution to the continued existence of the dayah in the new media era. Analysis shows that, even as other traditional educational institutions have been marginalized, Dayah Ulee Titi has grown significantly. It recommends a more in-depth study into the dynamic relationship between traditionalism and modernism to explore how the two co-exist in the field of education.

Abstract

Parenting education plays an important role in fostering healthy family character, supporting child development, and ensuring family resilience. This research aims to apply Islamic values in parenting practices, examine the role of culture and community support, understand challenges and parenting strategies, analyze gender roles, and assess the effectiveness of parenting education programs in Aceh. The study uses qualitative methods, and analysis using parenting theory. Semi-structured interviews and literature studies were used to collect data. The analysis includes coding of qualitative data, classification, and interpretation. Ethical considerations are enforced throughout the research process, to ensure respondent consent, privacy, and confidentiality and address potential researcher bias. The results of the study concluded that parenting education requires support from Islamic values, culture, community encouragement, fair and good parenting, gender roles, and parenting education programs. Parenting education for Islamic families in Aceh based on religious values (such as monotheism and piety) and Islamic culture has been proven to create family resilience. The tsunami incident is clear evidence of the resilience of the Acehnese family based on Islamic values and religious culture. On the other hand, religious leaders and educators can encourage and enhance this parenting education model in society. The findings of this study have practical implications for developing parenting education programs and interventions that are sensitive to values and culture in promoting well-being, the Islamic family model and family resilience in Aceh, Indonesia.
