Abstract

Abstract: The History Teaching Paradigm Facing Future Challenges. Teaching history is an interesting topic to be discussed, especially when modern human life becomes more materialistic and pays almost no attention to moral values. History, and especially history teaching, as a part of social sciences becomes dry because it provides no financial benefits in the short run as in the case of other social sciences. However, history and history teaching play an important role in the existence of a nation with regard to moral values. By studying history everybody can understand better about himself or herself, his or her existence, and how life always changes through experiences. History teaches people to be wise and not to repeat mistakes. Therefore, history teaching plays an important role in the existence of a nation.Keywords: paradigm, history teaching, future challenges

Abstract

‘Aisyiyah is an organization which has many contributions in early childhood education, one of them is building TK ‘Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal (ABA). This research aims to find the first TK ABA (‘Aisyiyah kindergarten) in Maluku Province. The method of the research is historical methods which have four steps which are first, a heuristic is a process collecting data by using the interview and observation to school manager and Pimpinan Wilayah ‘Aisyiyah (PWA) Maluku. Secondly, Verification is a process of source criticism which evaluating the qualities of an information source using intern and extern criticism. Thirdly, interpretation is a process to analyze the source based on historical evidence. The last step is historiography is the process to develop a narrative exposition of the findings. The result shows that TK Islam (which was built in 1952) is the forerunner of the first ‘Aisyiyah kindergarten in Ambon City, namely TK ‘Aisyiyah I (1972). Despite being in a conflict area, TK ‘Aisyiyah I can maintain multicultural values in many ways, one of them is accepting students from other ethnicities and religions. ‘Aisyiyah adalah organisasi yang telah lama berkecimpung dalam dunia pendidikan anak usia dini, salah satunya dengan mendirikan TK ‘Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal (ABA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri TK ‘Aisyiyah tertua di Provinsi Maluku. Penelitian menggunakan metode sejarah yaitu pertama heuristik, yaitu pengumpulan data dengan menelusuri sumber melalui wawancara dengan pengurus TK dan PWA Maluku, serta penelusuran dokumen. Kedua Verifikasi yaitu proses mengevaluasi kualitas sumber informasi dengan menggunakan kritik intern dan ekstern. Ketiga interpretasi yaitu proses analisis data sejarah menggunakan pendekatan multidisiplines. Dan Keempat Historiografi yaitu penulisan data dari hasil interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TK Islam (berdiri tahun 1952) adalah cikal bakal TK ‘Aisyiyah pertama di Kota Ambon yaitu TK ‘Aisyiyah I (1972). Meskipun berada di daerah konflik, TK ‘Aisyiyah I berkembang menjadi TK yang multikultur karena murid TK ini berasal dari berbagai etnis dan agama.

Abstract

Sains teknologi dan pendidikan merupakan bagian integral yang tak terpisahkan dalam pembentukan karakter bangsa. Dalam upaya pembelajaran Sain dan teknologi tidak bisa dipisahkan dari konteks mulai dari hal budaya masyarakat lokal, regional, nasional dan internasional. Misi utama pendidikan sains dan teknologi adalah membentuk peserta didik yang melek sains dan teknologi dalam berfikir global dan bertindak lokal.
