Abstract

An acoustic identification and classification system of frogs has been designed based on the principle of wavelet extraction and label classification using an artificial neural network (ANN). This system consists of electronic detection for frog audio as well as an interface using the MATLAB 2018b software as an ANN provider device. As input for the neural network, 5 types of frogs were used, namely the rock frog (Limnonectes macrodon), the blentung frog (Kaloula baleata), the hip frog (Limnonectesblythii), the rice field frog (Fejervarya cancrivora), and the trench frog. frog. frog (Fejervarya limnocharis). ), each with 12 sound samples. Before being inserted into the neural network, 3 levels of sound samples were extracted and denoised using wavelet symlet 3. Furthermore, in the neural network training process, 3 validation samples and 3 test samples were used. After training, the artificial neural network was able to identify the type of frog being tested.

Abstract

Currently, the use of plastic containers is increasing which has an impact on landfilling because the material is difficult to decompose. One alternative effort to reduce plastic container waste is to use it as a vegetable growing medium. Vegetables that are grown can be consumed every day, which can increase the family's food, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which has resulted in a weakening economy. Therefore, this training activity on the utilization of used plastic waste containers was carried out in Padang Luas Village, Tambang Sub District, District Kampar, Riau. This activity aims to provide knowledge, insight and stimulate creativity in processing plastic waste to the community in utilizing used plastic containers to grow vegetables. Methods of training activities include material presentation, demonstration of making plant pots from used plastic, and making plant pots with the community. The training activities have proceeded as planned. The results of the questionnaire after the training activities showed that most of the people gave a positive response and would apply the knowledge they gained from the training. Overall, participant answer really liked (54%) and liked (46%) the use of plant pots from used plastic containers. This training activity can be the beginning of the implementation of the use of used plastic waste to be more useful.

Abstract

Keberadaan tanaman obat di lingkungan rumah sangat penting, terutama bagi keluarga yang tidak memiliki akses mudah ke pelayanan medis. Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) merupakan beberapa jenis tanaman obat pilihan yang dapat ditanam di pot-pot atau di pekarangan rumah. Di Indonesia sebenarnya pupuk organik sudah lama dikenal para petani. Kebanyakan petani sudah sangat tergantung kepada pupuk buatan, sehingga dapat berdampak negatif terhadap perkembangan produksi pertanian. Usaha penghematan dan pengurangan pupuk buatan dapat dilakukan dengan pemanfaatan sumber hayati yang berpotensi sebagai pupuk hayati. Kuliah kerja nyata ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pembenahan terhadap beberapa dasawisma sekaligus mensosialisasikan cara pembuatan dan pengaplikasian bakteri fotosintesis (Synechococcus sp.) pada tanaman obat keluarga guna meningkatkan produktivitasnya. Program kerja pembuatan bakteri fotosintesis dimulai dengan melakukan sosialisasi kegiatan dan berdiskusi, kemudian melakukan praktek pembuatan bakteri fotosintesis (Synechococcus sp.) dan demplot aplikasi bakteri fotosintesis (Synechococcus sp.) yang berguna untuk mengetahui efektifitas dari bakteri fotosintesis. Dari program kerja yang telah dilakukan didapatkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada bapak/ibu pengurus dasawisma sebagai sasaran sosialisasi yang dapat menjadi contoh kepada masyarakat umum. Disaat berlangsungnya kegiatan sosialisasi ini peserta sangat antusias dalam mempelajari pembuatan bakteri fotosintesis sampai pada aplikasinya terhadap Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) yang ada pada setiap dasawisma.
