Abstract

XYZ is a company engaged in the paper industry, which is located in West Java. Since established in 1976, this company has produced photocopy paper in the form of reams. This company has advantages in terms of paper quality so that its products dominate the international market and the domestic market. With a very tight level of market competition, companies must continue to work optimally to continuously improve employee performance and company productivity. The purpose of this study is to plan an incentive-based employee wage system, which is suitable and in accordance with company conditions. Incentive wages are important as one of the main components to increase and maintain motivation, performance and work integrity. This research was conducted in the Finishing Department of the copy manual wrapping work unit. The method used are the Piecework method, the Halsey method, and the Rowan method. The result of this research is a comparison of the amount of wages between the wage system used by the company and the three methods of incentive pay as a company alternative. From the comparison of the three incentive wage design methods, the authors recommend the Halsey method as the best method that is able to provide benefits for both the company and for workers which we call dual mutualism. The Halsey method still guarantees a basic wage and a decent incentive wage for workers as a motivation to work faster and better.

Abstract

ESP is seen as the role of English in language teaching courses, where the content and learning objectives are determined by the specific needs of a particular group of learners. Likewise, English for Specific Purposes is a stimulus for students' needs and language acquisition relevant to the work they will face in the future. This study aims to find out the use and effectiveness of BOC in conducting the material of engineering class and values of the teaching program and the needs of students. The quantitative study questionnaire is spread out to 200 students. The result shows that 30% of students think that the Buana Online Course (BOC) plays a good role in engineering studies and 25% of students think that it is very important for learning in engineering classes. Furthermore, 30.70% of students agreed that BOC is effective and 26. 50% of students strongly agreed that applying BOC is effective in engineering research practice. These results indicate that a significant proportion of students found BOC beneficial to their engineering studies.

Abstract

Workload refers to worker activities that require strength and endurance and physical energy. Thecompany under study is a manufacturing company engaged in the automotive sector in the paintingdepartment of four-wheeled vehicle production in Karawang. A related challenge is the dominance ofmanual processes in some parts of the company. The purpose of the study is to understand theworkload on each shift and see the effect of worker fatigue by calculating the amount of energyconsumption and using the CVL approach. The research results from the morning shift found that theaverage %CVL percentage in various production sections was as follows: Mixing 29.08%, Top coat27.96%, Sanding ED 25.22% and Repair 25.11%. and for the night shift as follows: Mixing 30.12%,Top coat 29.65%, Sanding ED 25.92% and Repair 22.58%. It can be seen from the results of the studythat the average CVL (%) on each shift does not cause excessive fatigue in workers. Although ingeneral the phenomenon of fatigue does not occur, according to the calculations of some workers, especially at the mixing and topcoat stages, there is a higher percentage of %CVL with an averageCVL value of 30% and requires improvement. In addition, the results of energy consumptioncalculations show that all parts are classified as work that uses low to very low energy consumption.
