Abstract

Timbal merupakan logam berat yang bersifat beracun dan berbahaya jika masuk ke dalam tubuh manusia. Sifat timbal yang mudah larut dalam minyak dan lemak, bisa diserap melalui selaput atau lapisan kulit jika logam timbal tersebut berada di dalam produk kosmetik atau produk lain yang bersentuhan langsung dengan kulit. Oleh karena itu dilakukan analisis timbal pada kosmetik lokal yaitu pensil alis dan perona mata yang berada di toko online. Analisis timbal pada sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode spektrofotometri visible dengan penambahan reagen alizarin sulfonat pada sampel yang sebelumnya telah melalui proses destruksi. Verifikasi metode analisis timbal pada pensil alis dan perona mata dinyatakan memenuhi syarat, dari beberapa parameter diantaranya adalah uji linieritas dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,9990, uji akurasi dengan nilai %recovery rata-rata sebesar 96,24% untuk pensil alis dan 96,38% untuk perona mata serta uji presisi diperoleh nilai standar deviasi kurang dari 2% pada semua konsentrasi. Hasil analisis dari sampel pensil alis di toko online menunjukkan ada satu dari tiga sampel pensil alis yang memiliki kadar timbal melebihi persyaratan BPOM yaitu < 20 mg/kg. Tiga sampel perona mata yang diambil di toko online semuanya memenuhi syarat BPOM.

Abstract

Salah satu perlindungan kimiawi yang mengurangi efek paparan sinar matahari dengan mengaplikasikan kosmetik tabir surya. Daun kopi mengandung asam fenolik yaitu senyawa antioksidan yang dapat mengeliminasi radikal bebas, berpotensial sebagai sediaan krim tabir surya. Penelitian ini bertujuan memformulasikan ekstrak etanol daun kopi arabika dalam bentuk krim yang memenuhi standar kosmetika tabir surya dan menentukan nilai faktor pelindung surya (FPS) sediaan tersebut. Serbuk daun kopi arabika dimaserasi dengan pelarut etanol. Sediaan krim m/a dibuat 4 formula dengan memvariasikan jumlah ekstrak yang digunakan 0%; 1,5%; 2% dan 2,5% (yaitu F1, F2, F3 & F4). Evaluasi yang dilakukan meliputi pengujian karakteristik fisik krim secara kualitatif dan penentuan nilai faktor pelindung surya. Hasil penelitian evaluasi karakteristik fisik krim menunjukkan semua formula memenuhi persyaratan. Nilai faktor pelindung surya pada konsentrasi 2,5% yaitu F4 didapat hasil tertinggi dengan nilai FPS 5,54 bersifat proteksi sedang. Analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai signifikansi <0,05 sehingga menandakan adanya perbedaan bermakna antar formula terhadap nilai faktor pelindung surya krim.

Abstract

People in general, consumes food which is homecooked or buying finished products every day. Many types of prepared fast foods used food additives such as preservatives, flavorings agents, sweeteners etc. Additives which being used must be safe for consumption in a certain limit. The community service was held to the teachers and parents from Bintara Jaya Bekasi Kindergarten in order to quickly detect additional ingredients of fformaldehyde and rhodamine in food and using a test kit. The target is to increase the knowledge and skills of the teachers and parents from Bintara Jaya Bekasi Kindergarten students to detect and test foods containing formaldehyde and rhodamine B because the commons does not yet understand between safe and prohibited food additives. This workshop can improve the quality of health in the school and family environment. The training was done by lecturing method, practicing rapid detection and using a test kit and followed by discussion. The results of the community service showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of the teachers and parents from Bintara Jaya Bekasi Kindergarten in detecting foods containing formaldehyde and rhodamine B.

Abstract

The environmet's condition as a place for humans and other living things is decreasing due to human activities. To overcome or delay that phenomenon, an eco-friendly lifestyle needs to be applied by everyone. This lifestyle is known as the green lifestyle or sustainable lifestyle. This community service activity aimed to introduce that lifestyle to the women of Aisyiyah local administrations (PDA) of North Jakarta. In this workshop, the lecturers of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA gave the lecture about how to utilize and minimalize waste from household activity which is very useful in the pandemic era, when most of the family spent their activities at home. The main theme of this workshop is less-waste lifestyle, vegetable regrow from cooking waste and also the utilization of used cooking oil for making eco-friendly soap. Because of the pandemic situation, this workshop was held on the 2nd of January 2021 with web seminar method using Zoom meeting and the coordination was performed by WhatsApp group. Aside from PowerPoint slides and videos of eco-friendly soap making, the participant was given a post-test and an evaluation form at the end of the webinar. The duration of this webinar was 2 hours and the follow-up were carried out in the WAG, which is monitoring the participant's regrow results. From this activity, the post-test result showed that participants obtained an upgraded knowledge about the lecture given.

Because the transactions were more frequent and extensive, sildenafil and tadalafil were found in herbal coffee sold in internet retailers in this investigation. Thin-layer chromatography densitometry tests were conducted on samples of herbal coffee and the standard using ethyl acetate-methanol-ammonia as the mobile phase. The method's selectivity demonstrated that sildenafil and tadalafil in herbal beverages may be distinguished using this technique. Four samples from the ten herbal coffee samples tested positive for sildenafil, and four samples tested positive for tadalafil, according to the test results.Abstrak: Di Indonesia, masyarakat sering beralih ke pengobatan herbal sebagai alternatif pengobatan konvensional. Agar lebih nyaman digunakan, jamu saat ini dikemas dalam bentuk kopi atau minuman bubuk lainnya. Karena transaksi lebih sering dan luas, sildenafil dan tadalafil ditemukan dalam kopi herbal yang dijual di pengecer internet dalam penyelidikan ini. Uji densitometri kromatografi lapis tipis dilakukan pada sampel kopi herbal dan standar menggunakan etil asetat-metanol-amonia sebagai fase gerak. Selektivitas metode menunjukkan bahwa sildenafil dan tadalafil dalam minuman herbal dapat dibedakan dengan menggunakan teknik ini. Empat sampel dari sepuluh sampel kopi herbal dinyatakan positif sildenafil, dan empat sampel dinyatakan positif tadalafil, menurut hasil tes.

Abstract

Frangipani flower (Plumeria rubra) is one of the plants that has a role in perfume and aromatherapy technology which have essential compounds that are the main cause of fragrant smelling flowers. Optimization of extract production needs to be done to obtain a high content of active substances. Ultrasonic assisted extraction is a widely used method for extraction of active compounds in certain products due to shorter operating times. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in extraction time 30,45,60 minutes from fresh and dry frangipani flowers using ultrasonic methods on extract yield values ​​and chemical compositions using the GC-MS method. The results showed that the 60 minutes extraction produced the highest yield values, namely 5.11% for fresh yellow frangipani flower extract and 3.43% for dried yellow frangipani flower. The results of the chemical content study using GC-MS showed that the constituent compounds of fresh yellow frangipani flower essential oil consisted of fatty acids (6.59%), alkanoic acids (4.43%), triterpenoids (1.42%) and floral compound groups. Dry frangipani consists of alkanes (7.47%), alcohol (13.31%), fatty acids (1.00%).
