Luka adalah hilang atau rusaknya sebagian jaringan tubuh. Proses penyembuhan tidak hanya terbatas pada proses regenerasi yang bersifat lokal, tetapi juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah jenis obat-obatan. Penyembuhan luka adalah suatu bentuk proses usaha untuk memperbaiki kerusakan yang terjadi pada kulit. Salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi terhadap penyembuhan luka adalah tanaman betadine. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas pemberian ekstrak daun betadine terhadap ketebalan jaringan granulasi dan jarak tepi luka sayat tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). Desain penelitian studi eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian post test only control group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Biomedik Fakultas Teknik Kimia Politeknik Sriwijaya Palembang untuk pelaksanaan ekstraksi dan pembuatan salep ekstrak daun betadine, di Animal House Fakultas Kedokteran Unsri Palembang untuk pemeliharaan dan perlakuan pada tikus putih dan Laboratorium Patologi RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang untuk pemeriksaan jaringan kulit tikus putih. Jumlah sampel 30 tikus putih. Analisis statistik uji homogenitas antar kelompok dengan menggunakan levene test, Independent t-test, Uji One Way Anova untuk mengetahui jaringan granulasi dan jarak tepi luka dilanjutkan dengan uji post hoc multiple comparisons t-test games howel. Hasil uji statistik salep ekstrak daun betadine mempunyai efek yang sama dengan salep madecassol terhadap ketebalan jaringan granulasi dan jarak tepi luka pada luka sayat tikus putih. Dosis yang paling efektif adalah pada dosis 40% salep ekstrak daun betadine. Diharapkan perlu penelitian lanjutan tentang efek daun betadine terhadap protein-protein pada saat proses inflamasi toksisitas dari daun betadine.

Stroke is a neurologic disease that accurs because the blood supply to the bloodsupply to the brain is distrurbed or blocked, many risk factors can cause a stroke, one of with is diabetes melitus, hypertension, high cholesterol levels. Patients who suffer from stroke will certainly experince various probematics, limitations and obstacles at all levels including body structure, body fuctions, activities and participation in the enviroment and daily life. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase public knowledge about stroke. Methods the implementation of this service is carried out off line for the elderly at the elderly posyandu melati. This activity was attended by 21 participants. Based on the results of the activity, it was found that the level of knowlegde befero being given health counseling was 15 people (71,5%), participants had poor knowlegde about stroke. After being given health education, there was an increase in knowledge as many 14 people (67%) of comunity service participants had goog knowledge about stroke.

Rheumatoid Arthritis in an autoimmne disease that requires long – term treatment and control. In thelast 15 years there have been many developments in the managemant of this disease so that the quality and life expectancy of Rheumatoid Arthritis patients has improved. The understanding that Rheumatoid Artritis is related to other comorbidities and early as possible so that it will improve short-term ang long- term result. The method of implementation is carried out offlinem at the orchid elderly posyandu in the Kalidoni Health Center Palembang by using the Health education method regarding Rheumatoid Artritis with leaflet.The implementation of the activity is carried out bay distributing the questionnaires about Rheumatoid Arthritis before counseling (pre-test) then distributing the questionnaires again. Questions about Rheumatoid Artritis after counseling (post-test). This activity was attended bay 30 erderly people. Based on the results of the activity, it was found that the level of knowlegde about before being given counseling was 8 participants (27%) participants had good knowlegde about Rheumatoid Arthritis. After being given health education, there was an increase in knowlegde as many 23 participants (77%) participants had good knowlegde about Rheumatoid Arthritis

Lack of public knowledge about diabetes mellitus and how to control diabetes mellitus will lead to potential pathological risks including infection, ulceration and amputation. In addition, during the Covid-19 pandemic, diabetes mellitus is one of the comorbid factors for Covid-19 that can lead to death in diabetes mellitus patients. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase public knowledge about complications of diabetes mellitus. and improve the patient's ability to prevent complications of diabetes mellitus by doing diabetic foot exercises. The method of implementing this service is by providing online health education to Diabetes mellitus patients. This health education is carried out online using the Google Meet media. This activity was attended by 60 participants. Based on the results of the activity, it was found that knowledge before being given education was 45 people (75%) of diabetes mellitus patients had poor knowledge about diabetes mellitus education and diabetic foot exercises. After being given education, there was an increase in knowledge as many as 50 people (83%) of community service participants had good knowledge about diabetes mellitus education and diabetic foot exercises.

Penyakit Rheumatoid Arthritis merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis yang dapat menimbulkan sensasi nyeri pada lansia, salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi nyeri dengan menggunakan terapi non farmakologis. Adapun tujuan penelitian dari dilaksnakannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk Peningkatan Pengetahuan Pada Lansia Mengenai Kompres Serai Terhadap Penurunan Skala Nyeri Rheumatoid, Metode pelaksanaan dilaksanakan secara off line di posyandu lansia anggrek Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kalidoni Palembang. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 25 orang lansia, Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan didapatkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan sebelum diberikan penyuluhan sebanyak 19 orang peserta (76%) peserta memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang baik mengenai Kompres Serai Terhadap Penurunan Skala Nyeri Rheumatoid Arthritis. Setelah diberikan penyuluhan kesehatan terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan sebanyak 21 orang peserta (84%) peserta memiliki pengetahuan baik mengenai Kompres Serai Terhadap Penurunan Skala Nyeri Rheumatoid Arthritis. The purpose of this reseach is to carry out community service activities to increase knoeledge in the erderly regarding lemongrass compresses on reducing Rheumatoid pain scale, the method of implementation is carried out off line at the orchid erderly posyandu in the kalidoni health center in Palembang. This activity was attended by 25 erderly people. Based on the results of the activity, it was found that the level of knowledge befero being given counseling was 19 participants (76%) had poor knowledge about lemongrass compress against Rheumatoid Arthritis pain scale reduction. After being given health education, there was an increase in knowledge as many as 21 participants (84%) participants had good knowledge about lemongrass compresses on reducing Rheumatoid Arthritis pain scale.
