Abstract

Agricultural sector plays a very important role in economic growth of each country. Even though itscountribution has decreased continously compared with other sectors, but its contribution to labourforce in reducing unemployment is significant. The economic transformation from agriculture sector toindustrial sector is a characteristic of developed country. In this respect, capital and labour, an withrate play pivotal role for agriculture development. Therefore the objective of this paper is to measurethe countribution the agriculture sector towards economic development. Gross Domestic Product(GDP), is used as a proxy of economic growth. All the independent variables in this research areagriculture sector (Gp), industrial sector (Gi), and service sector (Gs), Due to multivariatemulticolinearity amongs independent variable area was removed.The result of OLS regression shows that the elasticity of the agriculture sector contribute for 2.77percent,industrial sector was 3.00, and Service sector was 16.83. This means that an increase theeconomic growth as much as 2.77 per cent, likewise, an increase of one per cent in each of bothindustrial and service sectors would increase the economic growth, as much as 3.00 percent and 16.83percent.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out factors influencing the demand ofconsumption of aqua culture in Singingi Hilir district, the Regency of KuantanSingingi. There are eight parameters in this study, namely kinds of fish offered,sales frequency, the number of fish sold in kilograms, the way to obtain the fish,the level of income, desire, and price. Data used are both primary and secondary.The descriptive method was used to analyze the data. The number of therespondents was 531. The research findings show that the interest of the people inthe district in consuming aqua culture is higher than freshwater fish so that thedemand of aqua culture fish in Singingi Hilir district is highly potential toimprove the welfare of the farmers in particular, and the people in Singingi Hilirdistrict in general.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect fish production(Y) in Kampar regency, the factors that influence the labor factor(X1) and capital factors (X2). The data used are time series data are annualdata from the years 2002 -2008, the source of data is secondary data offish production data, employment data, and data capital, production data takendirectly from the central bureau of statistics (BPS) Kampar district. Analysisof the data used in this study is to use multiple linear regressionmethod to determine the factors affecting fish production in Kampar regency.From the research found a significant relationship exists between labor(X1), capital (X2) tonumber offish production (Y) inKampar regency.For the labor factor of 1.513 X1 andthe capital factor of 0.023 X2 is meaningful for every 1 percent increase in labor force, the number of fish production increasedby 151.3 tonnes of fish, and every 1 percent increase in the amount of capitalincrease fish production increased by 2, 3 tonnes offish production in theKampar district. To prove whether or not a significant factor labor (X1) andcapital (X2) is done using t test, based on the results significantly with the levelof 5%. So is the test f siginikan at level 5%.

Abstract

This study entitled The Impact of Poverty on Child Labor in Batam Island Implications for children dropping out of school. This study aims to determine how the influence of poverty from the characteristics of Household, Child Characteristics and Residential Characteristics on children working in Batam Island and the Implications on Children Drop Out (APS). The results of this study obtained both descriptively and quantitatively is there is a positive significant relationship that poverty seen from the characteristics or characteristics of the head of Household (KRT), Child Characteristics (KA) and Residential Characteristics (KTT) selected as a proxy in research is in influencing the participation of children who work to help parents in meeting the needs of everyday life and implicate the high school dropout (APS) in the city of Batam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh persepsi, sikap, religiusitas dan gaya hidup terhadap keputusan pembelian produk perawatan kulit (skincare) pada remaja muslimah SMAN Kota Pekanbaru dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari data primer dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, penyebaran kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Data diolah dengan bantuan program SmartPLS 3.0. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian lapangan (Field Research) dengan sampel sebanyak 335 orang yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa secara parsial variabel persepsi, sikap dan gaya hidup berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian produk perawatan kulit (skincare), sedangkan variabel religiusitas tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian. Secara simultan variabel persepsi, sikap, religiusitas dan gaya hidup mampu mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian produk skincare dikalangan remaja muslimah kota Pekanbaru sebesar 48,2%, sedangkan sisanya 51,8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.
