Abstract

Kabupaten Ketapang Provinsi Kalimantan Barat merupakan daerah yang kaya dengan sumber daya alam laut dan perkebunan. Kerang Ale-ale merupakan sumber daya alam laut potensial. Sumber daya alam hasil perkebunan yaitu sawit yang dikelola oleh perusahaan dan menghasilkan limbah berupa cangkang kernel dan sumber daya alam hasil perkebunan yaitu kayu yang dikelola menjadi plywood yang menghasilkan limbah serbuk kayu dan lem sisa mesin produksi. Limbah-limbah tersebut belum dikelola secara maksimal. Hal tersebut menjadi suatu tantangan untuk melakukan penelitian supaya cangkang kerang Ale-ale, cangkang kernel, serbuk kayu plywood, dan lem plywood tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pengganti agregat kasar dalam campuran beton. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan limbah-limbah berpotensi sebagai bahan pengganti agregat kasar dalam campuran beton ringan struktural serta bahan-bahan tersebut berpengaruh terhadap kuat tekan beton. Hasil Uji Kuat Tekan Beton Normal dengan umur 28 hari adalah 172,12 kg/cm2. Untuk bahan cangkang ale-ale diperoleh hasil kuat uji tekan sebesar 136,64 kg/cm2, bahan campuran kernel sebesar 25,02 kg/cm2, bahan serbuk kayu sebesar 40,41 kg/cm2, dan bahan lem plywood sebesar 177,05 kg/cm2. Limbah lem Plywood mempunyai nilai kuat tekan yang lebih tinggi dari beton normal dan mempunyai nilai kuat tekan yang paling tinggi di antara campuran limbah lainnya.

Abstract

Ketapang and Kayong Utara Regency have road construction that often suffers damage before the planned life age caused by the behavior of expansive clay. The subgrade is a fundamental structure in building road construction because the subgrade will support traffic loads or construction loads. The strength and durability of the pavement structure road will depend on the properties and bearing capacity of the subgrade. Practically soil stabilization is a reinforcement engineering against foundation or subgrade by using mixed materials. Therefore, different soil improvement variations are needed. Based on the test result, the CBR value of Sukadana initially gets a 2.95% point. The CBR value for the 6% and 10 % mixture, respectively, gets 17.14% and 25.02%. The CBR value of Sungai Melayu Rayak originally get 4.65% point. Then, for the 6% and 10% mixture, the CBR values increased by 13.78% and 18%. The value of the bearing capacity of the highway soil construction can be know from the results of CBR testing on each variation. The CBR also can measure the strength of the soil. The addition of cement to the earth tends to increase the bearing capacity of the ground. It is because cement can function as a binder between soil particles with chemical compounds contained in cement.

Abstract

The research aims to obtain information on the ability to understand the physics formulas of high school students being taught through direct learning models. The population subjects in this study were 360 high school students. The research sample was taken using a random class technique, with a total sample of 79 students. This research used instruments in the form of tests of understanding students' physics formulas in the form of essays that have been tested before being used in research to determine the validity and reliability of the tests. The normality test is performing on the experimental class which obtained Xcount2  <  Xtable2 (1,68 < 9,49) and the control class Xcount2  <  Xtable2 (1,47 < 9,49), the normality of the two data groups is normal. Homogeneity testing of variance used F-test get value 1,15, which Ftable = 1.74 (Fcount < Ftable), the variance of the two data groups is homogeneous. Data processing uses inferential analysis techniques with the "t" test. There is two class, which one class as an experimental class that was treated in the form of direct teaching-learning models and another class as a control class taught conventionally. The results there is an increase in the score of students' understanding of physics formulas taught through direct learning models. It can happen because students are invited to get accustomed to gaining procedural knowledge also can capture and interpret physics formulas that are taught through modeling or experiment.

Abstract

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy again held a Tourism Village Community Empowerment Program. The collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Ministry of Villages for Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration and Higher Education is one of its forms. Higher education institutions are required to carry out community service programs. One of these activities is in the form of human resource development activities involved in the management of tourism villages, namely Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group). One of the human resource developments carried out is the strengthening of CHSE (Clean, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability) materials. CHSE is a new program that is being socialized by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to encourage healthy and safe tourism activities in all tourism destinations. Also, with the existence of correct and adequate CHSE and health protocols, it becomes one of the attractions for tourists to visit tourist villages. This activity was attended by 25 participants from Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group), Sungai Awan Kiri Tourism Village, Ketapang, West Kalimantan. This activity aims to improve the competence of human resources for managing the Sungai Awan Kiri Tourism Village which is closely related to CHSE, K3, and the implementation of health protocols that must be implemented in the New Normal era in tourist villages.

Abstract

Learning media plays an essential role in conveying material to students. Learning media can be divided into media that Teacher directly use in learning and media made by Teacher that later adapted to the abilities and needs of students. Engineering mechanics is one of the primary subjects that civil engineering students must master at. The engineering mechanics course discusses the analysis of the balance of a structure. Students can use mobile application-based teaching materials as online learning media amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Engineering mechanics book, we called EMB, can be used by students to study independently at home during learning online but still in the monitoring/monitoring of Teacher (lecturers). The research and development use ADDIE design. The stage includes 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Develop, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. EMB product had been tested the validity and implementation during the learning process. EMB got 3.32 valid results for the product. EMB can also train students in digital literacy. Students' digital literacy is in the quite proficient category. This condition is not regardless of the influence of student habits in using technology which is more often used for online communication and entertainment. The frequency of using digital technology for entertainment purposes is higher compared to use for academic purposes.

Abstract

Belajar fisika menekankan pada dua segi keaktifan, yaitu aktif bertindak secara fisik atau hands-on dan aktif berpikir atau minds-on. Praktikum dalam pembelajaran fisika sangat penting dalam rangka mendukung pembelajaran dan memberikan penekanan pada aspek proses dan hands-on. Penyebaran dan penularan COVID-19 semakin hari semakin tidak terkendali, sehingga memaksa Pemerintah meniadakan kegiatan pembelajaran tatap muka diganti dengan pembelajaran daring. Salah satu bentuk pemanfaatan teknologi komputer dalam pembelajaran fisika adalah pengembangan virtual laboratory. Model pengembangan virtual laboratory menggunakan Research and Development (R & D). Subjek penelitian adalah 30 mahasiswa prodi pemeliharan mesin Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. Tujuan Penelitian adalah menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran virtual laboratory untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran daring. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah aplikasi virtual laboratory, angket keterbacaan produk, dan perangkat pembelajaran matakuliah fisika dasar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji efektivitas software virtual laboratory pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil uji efektivitas penggunaan virtual laboratory dalam pembelajaran fisika mahasiswa prodi pemeliharaan mesin didapatkan nilai Post-test kelas control adalah sebesar 45,5 dan hasil post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 70,5. Perbedaan hasil Post-test pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil dari perlakuan virtual laboratory.

Abstract

Impulse and momentum mobile app can be another alternative to overcome the problem of using printed teaching materials. Impulse and momentum mobile app present concepts accompanied by examples in everyday life in images, animations, and videos. It can reduce students' difficulties in connecting concepts or materials with phenomena. The difficulties experienced by these students can have an impact negative on students' understanding of physics concepts. The impulse and momentum mobile app shows valid results with an average value of 3.32. Comments and suggestions from the validator are considered as revision material so that impulse and momentum multimedia teaching materials in mobile applications are better, more attractive, worthy of being tested for effectiveness. The mobile app needs to be revised based on comments and suggestions given by physics lecturers and teachers. The improvement of students' understanding of physics concepts is shown by testing the effectiveness of multimedia teaching materials in the experimental class and class control. In the analysis of the different tests with t-test, which involved 70 student respondents, the value of t count is 19.587 with t table of 1.99. P-value is p = 0.000, where the P-value is smaller than 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference in post-test value data on the ability to understand concepts between the experimental class and the control class. These results indicate that impulse and momentum mobile app effectively improves the ability to understand concepts of student physics.

Abstract

PKM programs are implemented to increase students' creativity in writing scientific papers improve critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. The implementation of PKM has presented information in the implementation of training activities and guidance for writing scientific papers. It can equip students to take part in regional and national LKTIs. The materials presented during the training were: 1) Understanding of KTI; 2) Preparation of KTI; 3) KTI Preparation Practice, and 4) Sharing and assistance in the preparation of KTI. At the end of the activity, 70% of students are expected to be able to make a KTI design. Furthermore, of the students who made the KTI design, 50% of them succeeded in making a scientific paper and were included in the regional and national LKTI

Abstract

Pelatihan bertujuan memberikan pemahaman terkait tata cara menyusun buku ajar kepada guru-guru MGMP IPA. Selain itu, dilakukan pendampingan langsung untuk membuat rancangan buku ajar yang relevan serta sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan partisipatif. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-November Tahun 2022 dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 35 orang. Kegiatan pelatihan meliputi persiapan kegiatan (survei & koordinasi dengan mitra), pelaksanaan kegiatan (workshop pelatihan & pendampingan), dan evaluasi kegiatan (evaluasi ketercapaian kegiatan). Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan pemahaman serta kemampuan peserta pelatihan dalam menyusun buku ajar. Selain itu, hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu satu draft buku ajar yang telah disusun oleh peserta pelatihan. Kegiatan ini merupakan langkah awal sebagai motivasi bagi guru-guru dalam menulis dan menyusun buku ajar berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa.The training aims to provide an understanding of the procedures for compiling textbooks for MGMP IPA teachers. In addition, direct assistance is provided to design relevant textbooks that meet students' needs. The method used is participatory training. Community service activities are carried out from October until November 2022 with 35 participants. Training activities include the presentation of material by resource persons and mentoring activities for preparing textbook drafts which are carried out face-to-face and online. The result of this service activity is an increase in understanding and ability to compile textbooks. In addition, the result of this community service activity is a draft textbook the training participants have prepared. This activity is the first step in motivating teachers to write and compile textbooks based on the independent learning curriculum that suits the needs of students.

Abstract

Pada proses perencanaan jalan, penggunaan material perkerasan menentukan kualitas mutu jalan yang dihasilkan. Bahan dasar untuk campuran aspal panas terdiri dari bahan agregat kasar, agregat halus, filler, dan aspal. Filler adalah suatu mineral agregat dari fraksi halus yang merupakan bahan non-plastis dan non-organik. Pada campuran aspal, filler berfungsi sebagai bahan pengisi rongga dalam campuran sehingga meningkatkan kepadatan dan ketahanan campuran serta meningkatkan stabilitas campuran. Penggunaan filler pada campuran aspal beton banyak diteliti untuk mendapatkan kinerja campuran yang baik dan ekonomis, namun untuk jenis bahan tertentu harganya dipasaran sudah mulai mahal dan susah ditemukan di daerah-daerah tertentu sehingga campuran aspal menjadi tidak ekonomis. Bagi masyarakat Kabupaten Ketapang, konsumsi ale-ale sebatas dagingnya, sehingga menghasilkan limbah cangkang yang banyak jumlahnya. Limbah cangkang ale-ale dapat bermanfaat dan digunakan sebagai filler dalam campuran aspal beton. Parameter Marshall pada campuran filler cangkang ale-ale 4% dan 8% yang memenuhi spesifikasi lapisan aspal AC-BC dan lapisan aspal HRS-WC adalah pada nilai kepadatan, nilai VMA, nilai stabilitas, nilai kelelehan, dan nilai MQ (Marshall Quotient). Parameter Marshall pada campuran filler abu batu 4% dan 8% yang memenuhi spesifikasi lapisan aspal AC-BC dan lapisan aspal HRS-WC adalah pada nilai kepadatan, nilai VMA, nilai stabilitas, nilai kelelehan, dan nilai MQ (Marshall Quotient).
