Abstract

Abstract The study aims to look at and figure out how the basil plant responses to organic and inorganic fertilizer application on plant growth and development . Also to identify the needs of macro nutrients which provides good leverage for the growth and production of basil plants . The Methods of study was conducted by using a randomized block design with 6 treatment, A control with no fertilizer application , treatment B with organic matter ( manure ) and fertilizer N ( urea ) , P ( SP - 36 ) , and K ( KCL ) ; C treatment with N fertilizer ( urea ) , P ( SP - 36 ) , K ( KCl ) ; D treatment by administering organic matter ( manure ) and fertilizer P ( SP - 36 ) , K ( KCl ) ; Treatment of E with the provision of organic matter ( manure ) and fertilizer N ( urea ) , K ( KCl ) ; and treatment by administering F organic material ( manure ) , N fertilizer ( urea ) fertilizer P ( SP - 36 ) . This treatment was repeated 4 times . Fertilization treatment given compiled using minus one test , by making combinations between fertilizing compost , fertilizer N, P , and K by removing one of the elements of the four elements. The variables measured were plant height , number of branches and fresh weight . The results showed a response to the treatment plant fertilizer application . Macro nutrients nitrogen effect on plant growth Keywords : basil , Inorganic Fertilizer , Organic Fertilizer , Fertilizer Influence

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to identify the state of physical and chemical properties of the soil on the Cloves plant in the village of Tincep and Kolongan Atas Subdistrict Sonder.  This study conducted using a survey method with their implementation as follows: the soil samples were taken at two locations is overgrown Cloves plant with good growth rates and less well, each location was taken four soil samples, two soil samples were taken at Cloves plant with good growth rates and another two soil samples were taken on Cloves plant with less well growth rates.  Soil sampling conducted by digging a minipit with size 50 x 50 x 50 cm were taken at the canopy boundary of Cloves plant and the soil samples were taken top layer (horizon A) and lower layers (horizon B) which is based on the effect of organic matter on the soil layer (A and B).  The parameters observed was physical properties of soil that is, texture, structure, and consistency; and chemical properties of soil that is, nitrogen total, phosphor available, potassium available, c-organic, and pH.  The results showed clove plants with good growth and less well the specified visually not affected by the state of chemical of soil, but is influenced by physical properties of soil, because on the Cloves plant which less well grow on the horizon B was found weathered material.  Keywords: Cloves, Physical and Chemical properties of soil, Growth, Weathered material

Abstract

Tondano River is the outlet of Lake Tondano hold the important role for the community in the province of North Sulawesi. With the population growth, increasing the need of society to the river, so there are many problems, such as sedimentation. Sedimentation processes occur accompanied with the rise in erosion so there is more erosion discharge waste in the form of sediment contained in estuaries Tondano. The problem now is how the sediment which was originally a waste can be harnessed into something useful, which is used as a planting medium. This study aims to look at the response of composting hyacinth sediment Tondano Watershed indicators corn crop. Randomized Block Design, where as a control S0, S1 compost treated with 10 tons / ha, S2 compost treatment with 20 tons / ha, S3 compost treated with 30 tons / ha. This research was conducted in three groups in order to obtain 12 pot experiment. The observed variables plant height every week, every week the number of leaves, dry weight of plants after harvest. The results showed that giving the water hyacinth compost on Tondano River Sediments influenced on corn growth. The provision of water hyacinth compost with different doses affected the plant height, the number of leaves and dry weight.  Keywords: sediment, water hyacinth, compost

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of giving various types of organic fertilizer tothe growth and production of spinach plants grown on the marginal soil and which type oforganic fertilizer the best is on the spinach plant. This research was conducted at the villageof Kalasey I for the pot experiment and the analysis of soil, manure and compost wasconducted at the laboratory of Soil Physics and the laboratory of Soil Chemistry and SoilFertility, Faculty of Agriculture Sam Ratulangi University of Manado. This research using byRandomized Block Design Method, where A as a control, B a manure of chicken, C a manureof cow, D a manure of pig, E a manure of goat and F as a compost. This study was conductedin 3 groups to obtain 18 pot experiments. The results showed that the application of various types of organic fertilizer on themarginal soil affected the availability of nutrients needed by plants in the growth andproduction of spinach plants in this case the height of the plant, the number of leaves, thefresh weight of the plant and the dry weight of the plant. Manure of goat provides the highestyield for height of the plant, the number of leaves, the fresh weight of the plant and dryweight of the plant. Keywords : Marginal Soil, Organic Fertilizer

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe response of spinach as an indicator. (Amaranthus tricolor L.) grown on marginal soil givenpalm oil waste (solid) is the aim of this study. A completely randomized design (CRD) consistingof four treatments i.e., P0 (Control), P1 10 tons/ha, P2 20 tons/ha, P3 30 tons/ha in threereplicates were used during three month trials. The observed variables were plant height, number of leaves, and fresh weight of spinach plants. The results showed that the need forappropriate technology application of plam oil solid waste and its soil management systems onmarginal soils can improved the performance of the grown spinachs on this soil. The applicationof palm oil waste (solid) has a significant effect on the growth of spinach plants in terms of plantheight and number of leaves at the age of 3 WAP (Week After Planting) and of 4 WAP.Treatment of 20 tons of oil palm solid per ha gave the highest yield on plant height and numberof leaves. Furthermore, the fresh weight of spinach plants given 30 tons of oil palm solid per hagave the heaviest weight at 4 WAP.Key words : marginal soils, palm oil waste (solid), spinach plants
