Abstract

In today's modern society, including in Indonesia, there is an environmental crisis. This environmental crisis can be overcome by changing people's behavior and perspective by intervening to the community as early as possible. Storytelling can be one way to increase children's understanding about respect for nature. This study aims to knowing the effectiveness of storytelling to increase understanding of respect for nature in children aged 5-6 years. This study involving 31 children from TK Negeri Pembina, Kuningan, as participants. Intervention is done by reading four tales in four days. Understanding of respect for nature is measured using a measurement tool created by the researcher, in the form of six illustrations that depicting the behavior of respect for nature. The statistic analysis using Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed the difference of mean value of respect for nature understanding is significant (p <0.05) between before and after reading tales. The result of post-test 2, which done two weeks after the intervention still shows an increase score from the pre test.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of type II thinking style on career decision self-efficacy through planned happenstance skills through mediation of planned happenstance skills in adolescence. There was 720 students from three excellence schools who were participated in this quantitative study. The data were collected by using three scales: Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form, Thinking Style Inventory – Revised II, and Planned Happenstance Career Inventory, that have been adapted to Indonesian version by the researcher and previous researchers. The researchers were used macro PROCESS to analyzed the data. The result showed type II thinking style can affect career decision self-efficacy partially ( c = .3280, p = .0000; c’ = .1917, p = .0000). Based on the result of this study, we concluded when adolescents have good quality of planned happenstance skills, it can help adolescence who have type II thinking style have a good career decision self-efficacy.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengurangi 2,3 juta peluang lapangan pekerjaan di Indonesia. Karir siswa SMK dinilai terancam karena lulusannya menyumbang tingkat pengangguran tertinggi di Indonesia, sehingga perlu ada usaha penyesuaian diri dalam merencanakan karir di masa depan. Penelitian ini menegakkan asumsi agar memiliki adaptabilitas karir yang kuat, siswa SMK perlu memiliki kepribadian proaktif yang mendorongnya untuk berinisiatif melakukan perubahan. Selanjutnya proses tersebut perlu dimediasi oleh kemampuan untuk bertahan menghadapi kesulitan (resiliensi). Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 686 orang siswa SMK di Indonesia menggunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale International Form (CAAS-IF) untuk adaptabilitas karir, Proactive Personality Scale Short Form (PPS-SF) untuk kepribadian proaktif dan  The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) untuk resiliensi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian proaktif memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan adaptabilitas karir (c’ = 0,384, SE = 0,087, p < 0,001). Diketahui pula adanya efek mediasi secara parsial oleh resiliensi (c’ = 0,384 < c = 1,283). Penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan pentingnya memperkuat layanan Bimbingan Karir yang memberikan informasi karir diluar bidang yang tersedia di SMK.

Abstract

THE EFECTIVENESS OF SELF-DETERMINATION LEARNING MODEL OF INSTRUCTION IN IMPROVING SOCIAL PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS ON SLOW-LEARNER STUDENTThe aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of SDLMI program (Self-Determination Learning Model of Instruction)in increasing social problem solving skills for slow-learner. This research used single subject design that involved a 14 years old male student with a borderline defective intelligent quotient (Full Scale IQ = 73, Wechsler Scale). The program effectiveness was measured by comparing pretest and posttest SDLMI score.This study found that SDLMI was significant to increase social problem solving skills in male slow learner student. Participant could also maintain social problem-solving skill for one week after problem solving instruction was given. Furthermore, educations about SDLMI need to be given for parents and teacher who struggle with special-need or slow-learner students.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas program Self-Determination Learning Model of Instruction (SDLMI) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah sosial pada siswa menengah pertama yang slow-learner. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain subyek tunggal dengan melibatkan seorang siswa laki-laki berusia 14 tahun dengan kecerdasan pada taraf ambang batas di bawah rata-rata (IQ Total = 73, Skala Wechsler). Efektivitas program diukur dengan membandingkan skor SDLMI sebelum (pretest) dan setelah  intervensi diberikan (posttest). Intervensi terbagi atas 12 sesi yang berdurasi selama 30 - 40 menit setiap sesinya. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa SDLMI mampu meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah sosial secara signifikan pada siswa slow learner. Partisipan juga dapat mempertahankan keterampilan tersebut seminggu setelah diberikan instruksi pemecahan masalah. Edukasi mengenai SDLMI perlu diberikan kepada orangtua dan guru yang menghadapi siswa berkebutuhan khusus atau siswa dengan karakteristik seperti slow-learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas pelatihan Dukungan Kemandirian dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pengasuh dalam mendukung kemandirian anak usia 18 - 36 bulan di TPA X. Pelatihan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini menggunakan dasar experiental learning, pelatihan diberikan kepada 29 pengasuh yang bekerja di 3 cabang TPA X. Pemilihan subjek menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Pelatihan ini dilakukan sebanyak 5 sesi dalam waktu 2 hari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan one group pre-test post-test design, yakni hanya memiliki satu kelompok perlakukan tanpa kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada pretest dan post-test mengukur keterampilan dukungan kemandirian yang mengadopsi dari 18 praktik dukungan kemandirian Côté-Lecaldare yang kemudian dirancang oleh peneliti. Hasil pre-test dan post-test 1 diuji dengan non prametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank menunjukkan level signifikansi p.value 0,000 (<0,05). Perilaku stabil hingga post-test 2, uji non parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank pada pre-test dan post-test 2 menunjukkan level signifikansi p.value 0,000 (<0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pre-test dengan post-test 1 dan post-test 2. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan Dukungan Kemandirian efektif dalam meningkatkan  keterampilan dukungan kemandirian pengasuh terhadap anak usia toddler.

Abstract

Berkembangnya teknologi menyebabkan banyak perubahan, terutama pada masa pandemi saat ini di mana berdampak pada dunia industri. Individu yang memiliki adaptabilitas karier diprediksi memiliki kualitas pekerjaan yang baik sehingga dapat menghadapi berbagai tantangan karier. Employability skills dan self-esteem dianggap penting dalam memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran self-esteem sebagai moderator hubungan employability skills dan adaptabilitas karier. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 703 siswa SMK (usia 14-23 tahun). Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (α = 0,924), Student Employability Skills Questionnaire (α = 0,939), dan Rosenberg’s Self Esteem Scale (α = 0,791) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem tidak memoderasi hubungan employabilty skill dan adaptabilitas karier. Dengan kata lain, harga diri tidak memperkuat atau memperlemah hubungan keterampilan dasar kerja individu dan adaptabilitas karier. Hal tersebut karena employability skills memiliki pengaruh yang lebih kuat terhadap adaptabilitas karier sehingga tanpa adanya self-esteem tetap akan memberikan pengaruh terhadap adaptabilitas karier siswa.
