Abstract

Dam and irrigation channels are utilized to supply irrigation in Way Jepara area. Way Jeparacannot optimally function because the catchment area is disturbed by illegal logging which mayincrease erosion rate as well as sedimentation to the dam. This research aims to analyze erosionwhich occurs in the catchment area and sedimentation in the dam. Erosion prediction model usedin this study is USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation). From the analysis it is obtained that totalerosion (A) in the catchment area is 2307.01 ton/year or 156.41 ton/ha/year which is classified aserosion class III or medium. The highest erosion rate, 1552.63 ton/ha/year, occurs in Land UnitNo. 107 near Langkap Mountain which is classified as severe. From the analysis the problemsarose can be categorized into two groups, problem related to catchment area conservation andtechnical l problem directly related to the dam. Solution to the problems should be based onconservation as well as social welfare.

Abstract

The evaluation of the execution of TP-OP of the irrigation system on working unit of irrigationand settlement agency of Lampung province in 2009 and 2010 is reviewed from the aspect of itsestimation and execution to give an illustration of the performance of the working unit with sourceof funds in APBN. In 2009 the budget estimation is Rp. 20.566.050.000 and in 2010 with thebudget estimation is Rp. 21.937.120.000, whicht each year has different problem and situation. This is proven by the absorb total budget estimation which is only 83,98% in 2009 and 97,75% in2010. The distinction of the problem and situation faced by working unit in every fiscal year willgive positive and negative impact which will be analyzed for the sake of a sustainableimprovement for TP-OP program.

Abstract

Way Besai River's catchment area is used as agricultural, tourism, and hydroelectrica power plant (PLTA) purposes. PLTA Way Besai was built for generating electrical power using the height of a waterfall from Way Besai River, however nowadays PLTA Way Besai is having a decrease of electrical power because of the now happening drought. The power decrease reached until 40 MW while it used to have 90 MW power supply causing only a rough 50 MW energy power left to be operated. The metode that is used in estimating the value of sediment discharge is by using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method and Measured Sediment Analysis. From the analysis results, the overall value of sediment was attained by merging the value of suspended load and bed load which is 170528,443 m 3 /year. The value of seddiment that is attained from USLE methode is 105520,738 m 3 /year.

Abstract

Way Besai River is the largest river in west lampung district. High sedimentation in this riveraffects the performance of Hydroelectic Power Plant (HEPP) owned by PLN which is located inWay Besai River. In order to know the condition of Way Besay’s catchment area, a research isconducted on each of Way Besai’s sub catchment area. One of the sub catchment area is located inTalang Bandung Village, Pekon Sindang Pagar, Kel Tugu Sari Kec Sumber Jaya West LampungDistrict named Talang Bandung Catchment and Air Anak Catchment. In order to make the surveyof Catchments condition easier, the research uses measured unit hydograph analysis method. Thepurpose is to analyse the measured unit hydograph in order to get the value of Peak Discharge,Peak time, basic time, and analysing the flood hydrograph. In this researc the data needed are automatic rainfall data, automatic water level data, velocitydata, and the stream cross section. From these data will be used to make Rating Curve to turn thehydrograph of water level into flow hydrograph. The separation of the components of base flowand direct runoff using straight-line approach and calculate the efective rainfal to get the ordinateof unit hydrograph. From the average of unit hydrograph combined with periodic rainfall willobtain the periodic flood hydrograph. From the analysis result it is, obtained an average of hydrograph unit for each catchment area. On60 minutes period, the average of unit hydrograph of Air Anak Catchment and Talang BandungCatchment have average peak discharge average (Qp) of 0,340 m 3 /sec and 0,394 m 3 /sec, the timeof rise are 560 minutes and 660 minutes. The result shows that for return period of 25 years, flooddischarge for Air Anak is 16,832 m 3 /sec and for Talang Bandung is 20,179 m 3 /sec.Keywords: Measured Unit Hydrograph Analysis, Sub Catchment Area of Way Besai.

Abstract

The calculation is done using the rainfall data obtained from BMKG Kotabumi North Lampung, from 1998 until 2011 with time increment in minutes. The Log Pearson III method is used to findthe design rainfall with return period 2 years, 5 years and 10 years. Then the result isimplemented in the Intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) curves. Time of concentration is linked intothe IDF curves to determine rainfall intensity. Based on the calculated rainfall intensity, thedesign discharge for each return period can be calculated using the rational method. The values of design discharge are then inputted as upstream boundary condition in HEC-RAS.Model output are presented in cross and long section to determine at which return period thedrainage capacity is overflowed. Simulation using HEC-RAS were also done to determine thechannel capacity.Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that rainfall intensities are 52,6918mm/hour, 65,7820 mm/hour and 75,9032 mm/hour, for 2, 5, an 10 year return period respectively. The capacity of the drainage channel is 2.02 m 3 /hour and is expected to be exceeded on 5 yearsreturn period.Key words : Intensity, Rasioanal method, HEC-RAS, capacity

Abstract

in a reservoir or river, it is necessary to know the size of the flood discharge plan used as a basis for calculating the size of the canals and their complementary buildings. Troubleshooting using Hydrological analysis, Intensity Duration Frequency (IDF) requires frequency analysis using a series of data obtained from rain data records. The scope of this research covers the area of Lampung Province, namely BMG Radin Inten II station and BMG Maritim Panjang station. From the comparison of the IDF curve analysis between rainfall data for short time intervals and daily rainfall data, the percentage difference between rainfall intensity differences in each duration and at certain return periods is obtained. IDF Curve Analysis for Daily Rain Data uses the Mononobe method, from the results of IDF curve analysis between rainfall data for short time intervals with daily rainfall data at BMG Radin Inten II station there is a difference in the ratio of high intensity up to 3 times or > 300%, whereas in BMG Maritim Panjang station only the difference in ratio > 100%.
