Abstract

This study aims to develop a key book in the Myriapoda determination Inquiry learning model to improve learning outcomes and determine the feasibility Taxonomy Inveretebrata the book as a learning supporting Prodi Biology Education. The subjects that students Prodi Biology Education IIB half the number 12. Collecting data using multiple assessment sheet including key book appraisal determination Myriapoda, the student questionnaire responses, the performance test sheet, sheet cognitive test results, student activity sheets, and activity sheets lecturer. Analysis of the data using the average of each assessment. The result of this research is a key book Myriapoda determination developed with 4D models (Four D Models) with the stages of defining, designing, developing, while the spread was not done because of the larger scale. The results showed that 80% assessmentsupervisor and lecturer of Invertebrate Taxonomy courses give a good assessment can be categorized or fit for use Other research results are students responded positively to the book developed by providing an assessment that is equal to 70.8% agreed, and 22% strongly agreed, besides learning theInquiry model can improve the process and the results of this study demonstrated the value of cognitive test results the average is 80 so it can be categorized as good.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of methods Role Playing with “Orkas (Organ KoranBekas)” can improve learning achievement of XI IPA Biology class in Madrasah Maarif Al-Falah. The research was conducted in Madrasah Maarif AL-Falah district of Ngrayun Ponorogo. The subjects werestudents of class XI second half of Al-Falah Madrasah Maarif District of Ngrayun Ponorogo school year 2014/2015 the number of students 16 children. The study consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results showed an increase inlearning achievement. Student achievement can be seen in the first cycle of 74.75, while the second cycle of 79.43 increased by 4.68. Additionally methods and media Orkas Role Playing (Organ newspaper Used) can improve the quality of the learning process. This is evident from the increasing every aspect ofstudents' courage and precision in playing its role 50% (18.75% to 68.75%). Cooperation of students in the group increased by 50% (25% to 75%). Attitude and cooperation skills of students in the group during the role play increased 37.5% (31.25% to 68.75%). And courage of students in expressingresponses or opinions and experience after playing the role of increased 37.5% (31.25% to 68.75%). It can be concluded that the use of Role Playing methods and media Orkas Organ Koran Bekas/Organs From Newspaper) can increase student achievement grade XI Madrasah Maarif Al-Falah.

Abstract

Highly content of nutrition in milk a perfect for microba to grow. Microba can pollute the milk fastly so it can not be consume. Fermentation is one way to avoid the milk decay. Fermentation of milk is conducted by inoculating pasteurized milk with kefir grains additional as cultur starter. The objective of this research is knowing the effect of fermentation period toward protein content of kefir milk as material to compile guideline book for lab work in biochemistry class. The research is quantitative with RAL factorial 4x1 in 3 times repetition. The factors of research are fermentation in 0 hour (t1), 12 hours (t2), 24 hours (t3), 36 hours (t4). Research use titration formol to collect the data of  protein content. Anava one tail is used to examine the hypothesis continued with BNT examination. The result of hypothesis shows that sig t (fermentation period) for protein content in kefir milk 0,000 with significance degree is 0,05. It shown that sig t < 0,05. From the result above, the conclusion is fermentation period affect the protein content in kefir milk.

Abstract

Research to determine the effectiveness of the extract against diseases curly terms of cure rates and yields of crops cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens l.) In Kedung Padang District of Rejoso Nganjuk. Target outcomes in the form of (1) Product insecticide mahogany seed, (2). Increased yields cayenne pepper. (3). Decrease the use of chemical insecticide. The results are used by farmers as subtitutor sidabas or other insecticides. The study used an experimental method with randomized block design Randomized Complete Block Design or (RCBD) which consists of 5 levels of treatment and four replications (4 blocks). Applied research in the area of 2500 m2 chili. 5 levels of treatment are: A = with insecticide mahogany 75 cc / 14 l of water., B = with insecticide mahogany 100 cc / 14 l of water, C = with insecticide mahogany 200 cc / 14 l of water, D = with insecticide mahogany 150 cc / 14 l of water, E = with chemical insecticides Sidabas 500 SC. The results showed that treatment with insecticide mahogany D 150 cc / 14 liters of water, produces cure rates of disease, most notably curly 91.41% and yield the greatest 174 kg. E treatment with chemical insecticides sidabas 500 SC provides 64.84% cure rate and yield 127 kg. This means insecticide mahogany 150 cc / 14 liters of water is more effective than sidabas 500 SC

Abstract

Rhodamin is one of additional food ingredient which often used to recolour the food.The additional food ingredient contains carsinogenic which can affect our health with a cancer asthat ingredient is not acceptable ingredient for food. Unfortunately,many Indonesian do not knowwhether the syntetical ingredients can be used or that is being prohibited to use. The purpose ofthis research is not only to observe whether there is Rhodamin B inside the tomato sauces aroundMadiun, but also to get the result of the analysis as the mateial for aditif subtance experiment inBio-chemical lesson. Furthermore, this descriptive qualitative research used non randomsampling as its technique. The sample is taken from pentol seller, mie ayam seller and baksoseller. The samples are being analyzed with Kremtografi Lapis Tipis (KLT). The result of theanalysis showed that all of the sample is negative. On the other hand, there is no Rhodamin B onit. The indicated sample has the same Rf with Rhodamin B. It will change it color into red as itsresponse toward H2SO4 and HCl. The sample also being compared with wantex. The resultshowed that the Rf samples had A3, A4, A5, B4, B5,C1, C2, C3, C4 dan C5. Based on the result,the assumption of the samples is that the samples have wantex material on it

Abstract

Penyakit keriting pada tanaman cabai merupakan masalah pelik yang dirasakan para petani cabai di Desa Kedung Padang dan sekitarnya. Penyakit ini ditularkan oleh hama Thrips sp yang mengakibatkan tanaman cabai keriting sehingga tidak menghasilkan buah secara maksimal. Kelangkaan dan tingginya harga pupuk kimia membuat petani cabai mengalami kesulitan untuk mendapatkannya. Dampak negatif dari penggunaan pupuk kimia terhadap kesehatan dan keseimbangan lingkungan kurang disadari oleh petani cabai. Masalah-masalah diatas mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penerapan ipteks bagi masyarakat.Tujuan dan target luaran IbM adalah; (1) menumbuhkan kesadaran akan bahaya pemakaian insektisida kimia secara berlebihan bagi penurunan kesuburan tanah dan keseimbangan ekosistem; (2) penyuluhan dan pembuatan Insektisida biji mahoni yang dapat mengendalikan Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT) dan bermanfaat sebagai pupuk daun; (3) menurunkan biaya produksi melalui pemakaian insektisida botani; (4) meningkatkan hasil panen cabai rawit.Metode yang digunakan dalam IbM adalah menggunakan pendekatan penyuluhan dan workshop pembuatan insektisida dari biji Mahoni serta aplikasi langsung pada lahan pertanian tanaman cabai seluas ¼ hektar milik Ibu Sumiatun dan Bapak Sumidi anggota Kelompok Tani Sejahtera di Desa Kedung Padang, Kecamatan Rejoso, Kabupaten Nganjuk.IbM direncanakan dilaksanakan selama 12 bulan dengan rencana kegiatan dan prosedur kerja sebagai berikut; (1) pembuatan sampel produk insektisida biji mahoni; (2) penyuluhan  bahaya insektisida kimia dan pembuatan insektisida biji mahoni; (3) aplikasi insektisida biji mahoni pada ¼  hektar lahan pertanian cabai rawit sebagai percontohan. Penyuluhan pada nomor 2 belum cukup dan harus diikuti aplikasi riil ke lapangan karena warga petani tidak akan percaya tanpa ada bukti nyata yang dapat dilihat secara langsung.IbM telah dilaksanakan selama 11 bulan yaitu Januari-Nopember 2014. Kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan antara lain; (1) pembuatan sampel produk insektisida biji mahoni; (2) aplikasi insektisida biji mahoni pada ¼  hektar lahan pertanian cabai rawit sebagai percontohan. Penyuluhan bahaya insektisida kimia dan pembuatan insektisida biji mahoni.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) Pengaruh cara pemeraman yang berbeda terhadap kandungan vitamin C buah pisang Raja (2) Pengaruh lama pemeraman terhadap kandungan vitamin C buah pisang Raja (3) Adanya interaksi antara cara dan lama pemeraman terhadap kandungan vitamin C buah pisang Raja. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi IKIP PGRI Madiun pada bulan Juni sampai September 2012. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 2 faktorial yaitu cara pemeraman dan lama pemeraman. Cara pemeraman dibedakan menjadi daun Lamtoro (C1), Karbid (C2) dan Larutan Ethrel (C3), dan faktor lama pemeraman meliputi 0 hari (L0), 2 hari (L1), 4 hari (L2), 6 hari (L3), dan 8 hari (L4). Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis variansi (ANAVA) ganda. Jika dalam penelitian ini didapatkan nilai F hitung > Ftabel berarti hipotesis diterima dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tiap perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Cara pemeraman yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap kandungan vitamin C buah pisang raja (Musa paradisiaca L). Pemeraman dengan ethrel menghasilkan rata-rata vitamin C yang paling tinggi yaitu 8,51 mg setiap100mg larutan pisang. (2). Lama pemeraman berpengaruh terhadap kandungan vitamin C pada buah pisang raja (Musa paradisiaca L). Pemeraman pada hari ke-4 menghasilkan vitamin C paling tinggi untuk semua perlakuan yaitu 11,02mg/100mg. (3). Ada interaksi antara cara dan lama pemeraman terhadap kandungan vitamin C buah pisang raja (Musa paradisiaca L). Pada cara pemeraman dengan ethrel dan lama pemeraman 2 hari didapatkan kandungan vitamin C yang paling tinggi dan berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan yang lain.

Abstract

Research aims to improve student achievement half of VB Biology Education Program at Teachers' Training College-Madison PGRI courses Professional Education II. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR ), with V semester students study subjects Prodi education PGRI Biology Teachers' Training College- Madison with a number of 41 students. Collecting data using a test sheet for students and the quality of the data observation sheet for the implementation of learning activities which include faculty and student learning. The results showed an average value of 59.8 in the first cycle, while in the second cycle was 69.9, an increase of 10.1 or 16.88 %. The quality of learning with the application of methods Talking Chips, which includes data quality faculty and students through observation sheet has increased. Data quality faculty activities in the first cycle was 79.1 with an active predicate, while in the second cycle of 91.6 with very active predicate, thus an increase of 12.5 or 15.8 %. The quality of student learning data in the first cycle was 72.7 with an active predicate, while the second cycle of 95.4 with very active predicate, thus an increase of 22.7 or 31.2 %. The conclusions of this research is the application of methods Talking Chips in cooperative learning can improve student learning achievement Profession Kependidikkan half-PGRI Madison VB Teachers' Training College .

Abstract

Rice is the staple food of Indonesia's population . However, rice production in the country has not been able to meet the needs of the national rice . This research is descriptive qualitative exploration methods to make observations and identification of pests and pest morphological features of rice paddy field in the area of the District Ngrayun Ponorogo . Rice sampling technique was determined by cluster sampling method (sampling area) , pest sampling technique was determined by saturation sampling method for all members of the pest population is used as a sample . Based on research carried out on 15 samples of rice fields in the village of the District 10 Ngrayun obtained 10 kinds of pests of various species namely : Ladybug Green (Nezara viridula) , Ladybug limbed like leaves (Anasa tristis) , Walang Sangit (Leptocorica acuta) , Slant -faced Grasshopper (Chloealtis conspersa) , Protonum bertaji Grasshopper (Melanoplus sanguinipes) , White Moth (Tryporiza inotata), caterpillar Leaf Folder (Cnapalocrosis medinalis), green leafhoppers (Nephotettik nigropictus), grain Leaf Beetle (Oulena melanoplus) , Colorado Potato Beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) , and Insect Aft Body Tail Spring (Onychiurus ramous).
