Abstract

Abstract This research aims to know the influence of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) combined with peer tutoring toward learning achievement on human digestive system concept. This research was conducted at one of State Senior High School in South Tangerang in the academic year of 2016/2017. The research method was quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. The sample was taken by simple random sampling. The total of the sampels were 86 students which consisted of 44 students as a controlled group and 42 students as an experimental group. The research instrument was objective test which consisted of 25 multiple choice items of each pretest and posttest. The research also used observation sheets for teacher and students activity. The result of data analysis using t-test on the two groups show that the value of tcount was 2.40 and ttable was 1.99 on significant level α = 0,05, so that tcount > ttable.. This result indicated that there was influence of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) combined with peer tutoring toward learning achievement on human digestive system concept.Keywords: Contextual Teaching and Learning, Peer Tutoring, Learning Achievement, Human Digestive System

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes with the use of Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the concept of environmental pollution. The research method used was Classroom-based Action Research (CAR) with data collection techniques in the form of learning result test, observation sheet, and field notes. This research was a research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of the study were the students of class X MIPA 1 SMAN 9 Tangerang Selatan in academic year 2016/2017 with the number of students was 38. The research instruments used were test and non-test instrument. Instrument test was in the form of multiple choices (30 questions), while the non-test instruments were in the form of observation sheets and field notes. The data analysis technique was by using N-gain test. The result of this research showed that the improvement of learning outcome in the concept of environmental pollution with the use of learning model based learning (PjBL) in each cycle was 47.37% in the cycle I, and 94.73% in the cycle II. The learning activity of the students showed the increase of activity with the use of learning model Project based learning (PjBL) in the cycle which was 72% in cycle I, and 78% in cycle II. The result of N-gain analysis showed the increase of N-gain from pretest to posttest in which the average of N-gain value in cycle was 0.32 in cycle I and 0.53 in cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that there is influence from the application of the model of Project Based Learning (PjBL) to improve student learning outcomes on the concept of environmental pollution.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning models on students' science process skills on the coordination system concept. This research was carried out in SMA Negeri 9 Tangerang Selatan in the 2017/2018 school year. This research method is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The study sample consisted of 73 students:  37 experimental group and 36 control group. The research instrument used is a test of science process skills in the form of a description test and observation sheet. The results of data analysis of students' science process skills using ANACOVA, showed that there were significant differences between the experimental and the control group. This shows that there was an effect of the application of the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model on students' science process skills on the concept of coordination system.

Abstract

Pertanyaan merupakan hal yang penting dalm pembelajaran, diantaranya dapat menunjukkan keaktifan peserta didik dan interaksi dua arah antara guru dan peserta didik. Namun, berdasarkan hasil observasi, peserta didik masih belum terstimulus untuk bertanya (pasif). Oleh karenanya, perlu salusi untuk menstimulus peserta didik untuk bertanya. Salah satunya adalah dengan menerapkan problem posing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis pertanyaan peserta didik SMA menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Posing pada Pembelajaran Biologi Konsep Sistem Pencernaan. Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 3 MAN 4 Bogor. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi. Jenis pertanyaan dinalisis dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah jenis pertanyaan yang diajukan peserta didik lebih banyak yang menyampaikan pertanyaan secara tertulis dibanding secara lisan. Analsis jenis pertanyaan yang diajukan peserta didik berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi secara keseluruhan masih tergolong pertanyaan dengan level kognitif rendah yaitu peserta didik hanya memberikan pertanyaan level kognitif C1, C2, C3, dan C4 yang didominasi dengan pertanyaan level kognitif C1 (56,25%).
