The government has distributed iron suplementation but the knowledge of pregnant women and husbands regarding prevention of anemia is still lacking. To increase knowledge, it is necessary to have a accompaniment module for prevention of anemia. The treatment groupgiven health education using the module while the control group only provided health education without the module. The sample in this research were the husband of pregnant women in Independent Midwifery Practice, 47 respondents in treatment group and 47 respondents in control group . Data analysis used Wilcoxon.  There was difference knowledge of pregnant women’s husband before and after the given module with p value 0.000.Giving module increase knowledge of pregnant women’s  husband in anemia prevention. It was expected  that health workers use module to increase pregnant women’s husband knowledge about anemia prevention.

Abstract

Sleep is an essential need that must be met, especially in the development phase since brain and body development will occur during sleep. Thus, sleep disturbance is a problem that will cause adverse effects on growth and development, especially for babies. Sleep quality for babies can be improved by providing baby massage on a regular basis. The purpose of this study was to prove whether there were differences in sleep quality before and after the massage in babies aged 3-4 months in Gelatik and Nuri IHC (Integrated Health Center) of Tanjungunggat Village of Tanjungpinang Municipality. Design: This was a Quasi Experiment study with a pretest-posttest method. The sample consisted of 17 respondents selected by purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used in this study was a dependent t-test with a significance level of 0.05.Result: The results showed that there was no significant difference between baby sleep duration before and after the massage (p = 0.414). However, there was significant difference between the frequency of waking up before and after the massage (p = 0.001) and there was a significant difference between the duration of waking up before and after the massage (p = 0.046. Discuss: Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that mothers should improve their knowledge on the importance of baby massage provided by health professionals and the health professionals should provide and demonstrate clear, complete and sustained information to the mothers and other related parties surrounding the IHC.

Abstract

In Indonesia, preparation for childbirth is generally obtained through classes for pregnant women which are routinely held by the puskesmas or midwife clinic, but for the archipelago sometimes the presence of pregnant women is constrained by geographical conditions, limited transportation facilities, weather conditions and currently the Covid-19 pandemic situation. This condition can be overcome by presenting educational media for childbirth preparation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of health education using “Si-ULIN” (Ready to Childbirth) pocket book on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women on Mantang Island, Bintan Regency, Riau Archipelago Province. This type of research was a quasi-experimental with one group pretest posttest design. The study was conducted in October 2020, involving 36 third trimester pregnant women on Mantang Island, who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data about knowledge and attitudes were collected through filling out a questionnaire, then analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average knowledge of pregnant women increased by 19.83 and the average attitude increased by 17.53 after being treated in the form of health education using the "Si-ULIN" pocket book. The p-value for differences in knowledge and attitudes before and after treatment were 0.000. This study concludes that “Si-ULIN” pocket book is effective in increasing the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about preparation for childbirth. It is hoped that all pregnant women with limited access to attend classes for pregnant women can use the “Si-ULIN” pocket book as an educational medium for preparation for childbirth. Abstract

Reducing the incidence of childbirth complications requires the role of the family (especially the husband). Besides, the improvement of husbands' participation in reproductive health is to provide husbands with information and to include husbands in every effort to improve reproductive health. One of the activities that husbands can do to improve the health of mothers and children is to accompany their wives during the delivery process. The design of this study was quasi-experimental with a post-test-only control group design. In addition, the treatment given to the respondents was a video "SUMPING" (Husbands’ Support Accompany) to find out the difference in motivation between the treated and non-treated groups. In addition, the sample in this study was part of the birth attendant at PMB Tanjungpinang City, which was divided into two groups: treatment and control groups. Also, the minimum sample is 30 for each group; therefore, the total sample is 60 people. Furthermore, the sampling technique used purposive sampling following the inclusion criteria. Thus, this study concludes that the "SUMPING" video has effectively increased the husband's motivation to accompany the mother during childbirth because it attracts attention, increases respondents' interest, and easy to understand. Hopefully, the "SUMPING" video can be a recommendation as a media for health education to husbands in the pregnant women class program and prepare for husbands to accompany the mother's childbirth
