Abstract

This study attempts to examine the financial literacy level of SME’s owner in East Java based on demographic aspect. The sample was taken from 65 SME’s in East Java which produce prominent local product. The data were collected by using survey method and deep interview. They were analyzed using descriptive explorative and also cross tabulation for examining SME’s financial literacy based on demographic attribute. Research found that that the financial literacy score of SME’s owner in East Java is good enough, where they have average score 55.8 with the same score of median and mode 66.7. Majority weakness of SME’s owner is the literacy on SME understanding of net asset and insurance premium. Otherwise, whole SME’s owner is fully understood that financial knowledge is so useful for the SME. Other finding shows that there is a relationship between financial literacy’s level and SME’s owner on demographic aspect such as gender, education, the business time established. It can be concluded that demographic aspects determine the financial literacy level of SME’s owner

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Good Corporate Governance on manufac-turing companies. The researchers used the boards of the commissioner, managerial ownership, independent commissioner, and foreign ownership as Good Corporate Governance’s proxy on the performance of the stock. The independent variables con-sist of the boards of the commissioner, managerial ownership, independent commis-sioner, and foreign ownership. The performance of stock is used by using stock re-turn as measurement and dependent variable. The sample consists of manufacturing companies of the period of 2010-201. The hypothesis was tested by using multiple regressions linear. Simultaneously, the boards of commissioners, managerial owner-ship, independent commissioner, and foreign ownership significantly affect the per-formance of the stock. Partially, the boards of commissioner negative significantly affect the performance of the stock. In addition, the managerial ownership and inde-pendent commissioner do not significantly affect the performance of the stock. Yet, the foreign ownership positively and significantly affects the performance of the stock.

Abstract

MSME is a form of business in Indonesia. This large number of businesses has a high influence on Indonesia. The main purpose was to determine the relationship between financial literacy on MSME performance in Surabaya City. The study was used 73 data MSME owners in Surabaya City. Cluster and purposive sampling techniques were used to select a sample. The data were collected using structured questionnaires. Validity and reliability techniques were also used to test the consistency of the indicators and analytical techniques. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data, and data were presented in the form of tables, fi gures, and percentages. Inferential statistics was also used to test hypotesis. The fi ndings are indicative of a signifi cant effect of bookkeeping literacy, debt literacy, and budgeting literacy on MSME performance. It is recommended that MSME owner to improve the ability make and manage cash management.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of financial literacy, personal values, and attitudes of family financial planning in Surabaya. Total of respondents from this research are 115 respondents with the criteria as a manager of family finances, and have a family income at least Rp. 4.000.000 / month, and domiciled in Surabaya city. The analysis technicall used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results explain that financial literacy, personal values, and attitudes have a significant positive effect on family financial planning in Surabaya

Abstract

Capital market have very important macroeconomic’s indicator for a country. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of macroeconomic factors to the stock price index of property and real estate. In this study used purposive sampling method as determining the sample and multiple linear regression analysis. The result is in a whole inflation, interest rate, balance of payments, and Gross Domestic Product have significant effect to Stock Index Property and Real Estate Sector. Partially, inflation has a negative significant effect on the Stock Price Index, while interest rates, Balance of Payments and Gross Domestic Product have no effect.
