Abstract

Processing and utilization program of red fruit in Yiwika Village are based on the reality that the people of Yiwika Village still cannot escape from the poverty. One of the great untapped potentials in Yiwika Village is the red fruit. Therefore, the solution offered is the processing and utilization of red fruit to be processed products. The purpose of this program is to provide knowledge and skills to the people of Yiwika Village in processing red fruits into oil and red fruit jams in order to create a red fruit processed fruit management with a good and sustainable system of management and increased its economy. Methods to solve these problems through problem identification, program socialization, training of Community Organization Management, evaluation and reflection. The program was implemented in September 2017 in Yiwika Village, Kurulu District, Jayawijaya Regency. The team has succeeded in bringing an important change to the society that is changing the paradigm of people from selling red fruit directly to processing red fruit into oil and red fruit jam.

Abstract

Lembah Baliem memiliki berbagai macam situs wisata yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan. Nilai jual dari mayoritas objek wisata di Lembah Baliem bertumpu pada keunikan dan kelestarian baik kondisi alam maupun budaya masyarakat setempat. Upaya pengembangan tersebut semestinya juga harus memperhatikan aspirasi-aspirasi masyarakat lokal seperti yang berhubungan dengak hak ulayat,  penghormatan terhadap situs-situs yang dianggap keramat dan adat istiadat setempat. Hal tersebut menuntut arah pengembangan produk wisata berbasis lingkungan atau ecotourism. Di samping itu, pandemi covid-19 tidak hanya berdampak negatif bagi industri pariwisata tetapi juga memberikan kesempatan positif bagi restorasi lingkungan sekaligus menjadi variabel penting dalam pengembangan untuk menghadapi era new normal. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi pengembangan situs wisata yang ada di Lembah Baliem dengan kerangka kerja Ecotourism Opportunity Spectrum. Selain itu, lokasi yang telah teridentifikasi perlu ditentukan prioritas pengembangannya sesuai dengan kriteria ecotourism menggunakan metode analytical hierarchy process agar dapat menjadi rekomendasi kepada stake holder di Lembah Baliem. Sebanyak 8 situs wisata telah teridentifikasi dan telah ditetapkan urutan prioritas pengembangannya antara lain: (1) Festival Budaya Lembah Baliem dengan skor prioritas sebesar 0,255. (2) Pasir Putih (Intermediates) (0,131), (3) Mumi Yiwika (0,125), (4)  Mumi Aikima  (Ecogeneralist) (0,119), (5) Goa Bunda Maria (Intermediates)(0,099), (6) Danau Habema (Ecospecialist) (0,093), (7) Air Terjun Napua (0,091), dan (8) Telaga Biru (Ecogeneralist) (0,088).

Abstract

Jayawijaya Regency is the economic center for the central mountainous region in Papua Province. As an economic center, there is a growing gap between economic sectors, uneven income distribution, and a very high poverty rate in Jayawijaya Regency. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of 1) knowing the base and non-base economic sectors in the economic development of Jayawijaya Regency, and 2) knowing the projected changes and competitive advantages of the Jayawijaya Regency economic sectors. The location of the study is determined purposively. The data type is secondary data in the form of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Jayawijaya Regency at 2010 Constant Market Prices by Industry for the period 2010-2019. The source of the data comes from BPS (Berau Central of Statistics) Jayawijaya Regency and Papua Province. The data were analyzed using LQ and DLQ analysis methods. The results showed that there are 15 base or superior economic sectors and 2 non-base or potential economic sectors from 17 economic sectors in Jayawijaya Regency. Non-base economic sectors are the mining and quarrying industry; and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities. Projections of changes and competitive advantages of the economic sector show that repositioning occurs in the water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities, while the mining and quarrying industries have not undergone changes with low competitiveness
