Abstract

The increase of rice production by using the approach of integrated crop and resource management(ICM) besides high yielding varieties (HYV), inorganic compound fertilizer which followed the returnof insitu rice straw instead of compost or manure. However, this in situ rice straw should be treated bylocal probiotic microbes so the straw becomes decayed and fragile that facilitates the land processing. This study aimed to determine the effect of the addition of Kujang NPK fertilizer with local probioticmicrobes on rice yield of Inpari 13 variety in irrigated land. This study uses a separate plot design with5 replications. The main plot is the gift of local probiotic microbes (Agri Super and Agri Simba), and thesubplot is the addition of Kujang NPK fertilizer (200, 300, and 400 kg/ha). The results of this studyshow that there are no interaction influence occurs between the addition of Kujang NPK fertilizer withthe administering local probiotic microbes on plant height at harvest, yield components and dried grainyield. The highest dried grain yield by administering of Agri Super is 8.59 t ha-1. The addition of KujangNPK fertilizer at dose 300 kg ha-1 gave the highest grain yield as much as at dose 8.24 t ha-1, and thelowest yield achieved at doses of 200 kg ha-1 of Kujang NPK approximately 7.55 t ha-1.

Abstract

Rice production in Purwakarta district is fairly good because productivity is not low (5.73 t/ha). However, rice cultivation needs improvement so that productivity can be increased. Therefore, BPTP West Java from 2007 to 2012 has conducted several studies of technological innovation in Purwakarta district in an effort to increase rice production. The purpose of this paper is to inform the results of studies that have been conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture in Purwakarta Regency of West Java to support the National Rice Production Enhancement Program (P2BN). Based on the results of the assessment of a range of new varieties (VUB), it was found that Mekongga, Ciherang, Inpari 2 varieties were good and were selected by the farmers in the district of Wanayasa and Pondok Salam. Morevore to support IP-400 rice, no-tillage system (TOT) can shorten the time of land preparation using locally probiotic microbes such as Agri Simba. The dose of Agri Simba used to accelerate the degradation of rice straw was best 10 liters/ha. The application of NPK fertilizer use is more practical than single fertilizer. Morevore the addition of local probiotic (Agri Super) NPK Kujang did not show any interaction effect on rice yield of Inpari 13 variety. The administration of local probiotic Agri Super showed 20% higher yields Agri Simba. The addition of NPK Kujang at 300 kg/ha produced the highest yield at 8.24 tons/ha paddy, and the lowest yield produced by 200 kg/ha NPK approximately at 7.55 tons/ha paddy.

Abstract

Implementation of Nitrogen, Phospahte and Potassium fertilizer for self-sufficiency insoybeans. In order to minimize import of soybean in Indonesia, soybean crop is now planted as maincrop like rice plants and maize. To gain self-sufficiency in soybeans, expansion of soybean planting areawhether in irrigated or in rainfall-dependent of rice plant area, and also multiple cropping of soybeanswith cassava may be required. Beside that, government policy in providing needs for soybean plantingsuch as fertilizers, good seeds and pesticide and also fix price of soybean in farmer level may increasea will of farmers in planting soybean. To obtain a high yield, soybean requires nutrients of N, P and Kin appropriate amounts. The needs of P and K nutrient in soil is determined with Bray-1 method ofanalysis, while dose of N fertilizer was 54 to 80 kg N ha-1.

Abstract

Hybrid Rice Planting Assessment in Purwakarta Hybrid rice planting assessment was conducted at lowland area in Wanasari village, Wanayasa subdistrict, Purwakarta district during second dry season 2008. Seven varieties of hybrid rice namely Mapan 02, Pioner PP II, SL 8 SHS, Pioner PP I, HIPA 3, HIPA 4 and HIPA 6 were evaluated to find out hybrid rice varieties that are suitable to the agroecosystem. The observations were done for number of tillers, number of panicle per hill, number of productive panicle per hill, panicle length, number of filled-grain per panicle, number of unfilled-grain per panicle, plant height, and yield. Descriptive statistics analysis showed that the most number of panicle was 17.67 on SL 8 SHS and the least was 8.67 on HIPA 3, while the highest number of productive panicle was 15.67 on Pioner PP I and the least was 6.3 on HIPA 3. The longest of panicle was 6.90 cm on Pioner PP I and the shortest was 6.36 cm on HIPA 3. The highest number of well-filled grain was 75.18 on Pioner PP I, but it has 195.80 unfilledgrain. The lowest number of well-filled grain was 52.88 on HIPA 3 and the lowest unfilled-grain was 108.40 on Mapan 02. The highest plant was HIPA 6 with the height of plant was 93 cm, and the lowest was Mapan 02 with the height of plant was 78.06 cm. While the most number of tillers was 21.8 on HIPA 6, and the lowest was 15.88 on Pioner PP II. The highest yield was 5.84 t ha-1 on Pioner PP I and the lowest was 3.76 t ha-1 on SL 8 SHS. According to agronomic characters and the yield, the most appropriate rice hybrid to plant at Wanasari village, Wanayasa sub-district, Purwakarta district during second dry season was Pioner PP I.

Abstract

The Assessment of Several Varieties of Superior Hybrid of Maize in Support of An Increase in Productivity of Maize. Maize is one of the commodity that can support industry and exports, therefore an increase of productivity and expansion of planting area is needed and study on varieties of maize that can grow optimally with local area conditions is required. Assessment is done in ‘kelompok tani Lengo’, Sindangkasih village, Sub District Majalengka, District Majalengka, West Java Province from June to August, 2014. It used randomized block design with five varieties of maize hybrids (Bima-3, 4, 5, 6 and 19) and five replications. The aim of the assessment was to determine adaptation of some new varieties of maize hybrids in the local area conditions (specific location). The study showed that with technology of Integrated Crop Management, productivity of Bima-4 variety was highest (8.74 t ha-1) compared to other varieties, indicated that this variety was suitable to be developed in Majalengka. Farming analysis with application of The Integrated Crop Management showed that the the R/C value of Bima-4 variety was 3.48.
