Abstract

Di Indonesia demam berdarah merupakan penyakit menular yang belum bisa diberntas. Kasus demam berdarah di kecamatan sleman pada tahun 2015 mencapai 28 kasus. Diperlukan peran aktif masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit DBD. Salah satu peran aktif dalam pencegahan DBD ini melalui edukasi anak-anak. Melalui kegiatan Tanggap Bocah (TABO) diharapkan mampu meberikan edukasi pencegahan penyakit DBD. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membentuk kader kesehatan cilik melalui TABO di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sleman. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode dengan diskusi, tanya jawab, dan  simulasi. Media pembelajaran ini menggunakan permainan anak dengan memasukan materi kesehatan lingkungan khususnya gerakan 3 M plus. Hasil kegiatan ini mampu mengajak dan meningkatkan kepedulian anak-anak terhadap program pengendalian DBD yaitu mampu melakukan pemantauan jentik di lingkungan rumah.Kegiatan ini dinilai sangat efektif sehingga memerlukan peningkatan pola pelatihan baik dari segi materi maupun komponen lainnya sehingga dapat terus sejalan mengikuti perkembangan informasi.

Abstract

Kejadian Demam Berdarah Dengue sangat erat kaitannya dengan faktor lingkungan, yaitu tersedianya tempat berkembangbiak (breeding place) vektor nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Sampah yang paling berbahaya adalah sampah anorganik, hal ini dikarenakan sampah jenis ini sulit diurai oleh bakteri atau dekomposer. Salah satu sampah anorganik yang membutuhkan penanganan khusus dalam mengelola dan mengolahnya adalah sampah plastik. Sifat dari sampah plastik adalah tidak mudah diurai, proses pengelolaannya menimbulkan toksik dan bersifat karsinogenik serta membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama untuk bisa terurai secara alamiah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang cara mengelola sampah plastik rumah tangga yang dihasilkan kepada anak-anak  anggota Tanggap Bocah  melalui kader pendamping Tanggap Bocah di Kecamatan Sleman Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Puskesmas Sleman dilakukan di wilayah Desa Trimulyo yang merupakan bagian dari wilayah kerjanya. Kegiatan berlangsung dengan lancar dan sukses. Pengetahuan peserta semakin bertambah dengan diberikannya materi penyuluhan ini, hal ini dibuktikan dengan sesi diskusi pada akhir kegiatan dengan memberikan pertanyaan pemicu peserta mampu menjelaskan untuk materi intinya. Kelanjutan pembinaan dan pemantauan terhadap kader dan anggota tanggap bocah diserahkan kepada pihak Puskesmas. Tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini adalah kader pendamping melakukan pelatihan dan penyampaian infromasi kepada anggota Tanggap Bocah di wilayahnya masing-masing.---The incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is closely related to environmental factors, namely the availability of breeding grounds for the Aedes aegypti mosquito vector. The most dangerous waste is inorganic waste, this is caused by the type of waste that is difficult to decompose or decompose. One of the inorganic waste that requires special handling in managing and processing is plastic waste. The nature of plastic waste is that it is not easy to decompose, the management process is toxic and carcinogenic and takes a very long time to decompose naturally. This activity aims to increase knowledge about how to manage household plastic waste generated for the children of Tanggap Bocah members through the assistant cadres of Tanggap Bocah in Sleman District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Community service activities at the Sleman Health Center are carried out in the Trimulyo Village area which is part of its working area. The activity went smoothly and successfully. The knowledge of the participants was increased by the provision of this counseling material, this was evidenced by the discussion session at the end of the activity by asking questions that triggered the participants to be able to explain the material. Continuing coaching and monitoring of cadres and responsive members are left to the Puskesmas. The follow-up to this activity is for the companion cadres to conduct training and deliver information to the members of Responding Bocah in their respective areas.

Abstract

Community-Based Total Sanitation is an approach and paradigm of sanitation development in Indonesia that emphasizes maximizing community empowerment through triggering to increase behavior change, especially behavior change in terms of sanitation. In addition to nutritional conditions, poor environmental factors related to drinking water and sanitation can also increase the risk of stunting. There is a very close relationship between poverty, access to drinking water, and sanitation and the incidence of stunting. One of the efforts to integrate the acceleration of nutrition improvement through stunting prevention, since 2017 various pieces of training involving nutrition and environmental health officers have begun to be provided. The addition of an output indicator of 3 stunting pillars so that currently there are 8 STBM-Stunting pillars. The material was delivered using the principles of adult learning, followed by simulation and practice of triggering the STBM pillar. Participants were health cadres and the stunting prevention team of Argodadi Village. Through practical simulations in training, then health cadres are expected to be able to trigger STBM-stunting. In the final session as a follow-up plan, the cadres agreed on a commitment to conduct similar training in their respective hamlet areas

Abstract

Rivers as water body, for Yogyakarta’s people who are living nearby are used as one of the clean water sources to fulfill their daily needs. This study was aimed to understand and reveal the measurement of some field parameters as well as the laboratory ones of five rivers which crossing Yogyakarta. There were three measuring points for each observed river. The results showed that for following parameters: i.e. BOD, DO, pH, TSS, and temperature; the mea-surement still meet the standards stated by the government regulation No. 20/1990 about the tresholds for water quality of type B water. Those findings may be affected by the aeration process generated by small basins existed in some places, and also by the dilution process caused from additional debit of small rivers which ended at the rivers. However, as the MPN coliform was very high and had not fulfilled the requisite, it showed an indication that the rivers are contaminated by human excreta and so that they are not safe for clean water source.

Abstract

Environmental quality deterioration occurs globally, both in developed and developing countries. The concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has increased, with the occurrence of the process of climate change (climate change) and global warming, which impacts and effects can be felt in everyday life. The development development in various cities and regions still ignores sustainable development or sustainable development. The growth of an area vertically or horizontally has an impact on the occurrence of pollution to water, soil and air. Although naturally air can carry out self-purification, according to WHO, the current condition has reached an alarming stage, this is because nine out of 10 people in the world breathe polluted air in turn. Meanwhile, more than half of the world's population currently live in urban environments. This article is written to explore the extent of the impact of air pollution that is currently occurring with the incidence of air borne disease on a local, regional and global scale. The current decline in air quality is more predominantly caused by human activities in the form of transportation and increased industrial activities. Poor air quality is associated with an increase in the prevalence of clinical manifestations of asthma and allergies, especially in children, this is because the development of the respiratory organs in children has not yet been formed and is accustomed to breathing in excess amounts of air pollutants. He further stated that air pollution kills around seven million people every year. Efforts to monitor air environment conditions are a good step to provide an early warning system of actions that must be taken so as not to cause greater impacts and losses.

Abstract

The Sanitation Food Home Industry Production facilities are objects of an application to maintain the safety of food products. The food poisoning cases reported by BPOM in 2019 on average occurred because household food processing did not implement good food production methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the sanitary picture of production facilities and personal hygiene of employees at IRTP Mi Lethek "X". This type of research is a survey using descriptive analysis and the method used is observation. The descriptive analysis in this study aims to describe the sanitation of production facilities, personal hygiene, and the potential for contamination of cattle at IRTP Mi Lethek "X" Bendo, Trimurti, Srandakan, Bantul by focusing on the potential danger of cattle as a source of contaminants. This research instrument uses BPOM Perka Number HK.03.1.23.04.12.2206 of 2012 concerning Good Food Production Methods for the Home Industry. Based on descriptive analysis, the sanitation of home industry production facilities in Lethek Noodle "X" has a serious category of 7 deviations. These serious deviations have the potential to affect lethek noodles. The critical category of 4 deviations will affect the safety of the lethek noodle and for the major category, there is 1 deviation that has the potential to affect the efficiency of safety control of the lethek noodle. The results of personal hygiene research of employees who do not meet the requirements are 68.40% and the potential for contamination of cattle is 66.70%. This can potentially affect the safety of lethek noodles.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the fourth largest population in the world which certainly has an impact on waste production which increases every year. One of the organic waste produced is household waste. Improper waste management will certainly cause many serious disturbances. Based on the results of interviews and observations that have been made, waste management in Drono Hamlet, Tridadi Village is still not optimal, including burning waste, and collecting waste and then taking it by third parties. Therefore, the purpose of this community service is to provide counseling and utilization in managing organic waste through the activity of making lotions. The methods used in this activity were lectures, demonstrations and the practice of installing lotions by resource persons. The socialization process of kitchen waste management using lotions is carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, the socialization stage and the installation practice stage. From the results of the socialization and training that has been carried out for PKK women and several community leaders in Dusun Drono, Sleman, Sleman, DIY they have understood well how to use household organic waste for the future and this activity aims to provide independence in managing waste starting from from the source.

Abstract

Penyakit berbasis lingkungan masih menjadi penyebab masalah kesehatan terbesar bagi masyarakat Indonesia Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan yang berada dalam suatu ruangan yang digunakan secara bersamaan dapat menimbulkan penyakit lingkungan seperti penyakit ISPA, scabies, hingga jenis penyakit menular lainnya yang disebabkan dari kondisi lingkungan terutama pada sanitasi yang tidak layak diantaranya padatan hunian per kamar. Program sanitasi di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIB Sleman meliputi akses sanitasi, air bersih, akses kebersihan, dan akses kombinasi antara sanitasi, air besih dan kebersihan. Akses sanitasi dasar meliputi penyediaan air bersih, pembuangan kotoran manusia (jamban), pengelolaan sampah dan pembuangan air limbah: akses air bersih baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas; dan akses kebersihlan meliputi kebersihan lingkungan dan semua ruangan dimana warga binaan melakukan aktivitas. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIB Sleman meliputi: penyuluhan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS), desinfeksi ruang tahanan (sel), dan praktik pembuatan Clorine Diffuser dengan sasaran masyarakat binaan. Upaya penurunan kuman udara dapat dilakukan melalui pengendalian Indoor Pollution dengan cara dessinfeksi ruang kelas menggunakan gas khlor (Cl2) dari elektrolisis air garam dapur (NaCl). Gas Khlor (Cl2) dapat membunuh kuman udara ruangan dengan cara merusak dinding sel kuman (mikroorganisme). Upaya peningkatan penyehatan air menggunakan Clorine Diffuser dengan cara pipa dilubungi dan diberikan partikel-partikel yang didalamnya dapat membuat air menjadi layak untuk digunakan. Fungsi Clorine Diffuser sebagai pembunuh kuman di dalam air
