Abstract

Daun dewa mengandung berbagai unsur kimia, antara lain saponin, flavonoid, minyak atsiri, dan antikoagulan. Dalam pembudidayaan daun dewa perlu pemberian nutrisi yang cukup untuk menunjang pertumbuhannya karena keberhasilan dari budidaya ditentukan oleh kemampuan produksi tanaman.Sehingga perlu pemberian bahan organik sebagai unsur hara untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal bagi pertumbuhan daun dewa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media dan frekuensi pemberian pupuk organik cair terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil daun dewa (Gynura Pseudochina (L.) DC). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk percobaan yang disusun berdasarkan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor yang terdiri atas Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media yang berbeda (K) yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) taraf perlakuan yakni K1 (Tanah), K2 (Tanah 1 : Pasir 1) dan K3 (Tanah 2 : 1 Pasir : 1 Pupuk Kandang) dan Faktor kedua adalah Frekuensi pemberian pupuk organik cair (P) yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) taraf yakni P1 (1 kali; 2 MST), P2 (2 Kali; 2 dan 4 MST) dan P3 (3 Kali; 2, 4 dan 6 MST). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali,sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat  3 x 3 x 3 = 27  petak percobaan.Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dengan melihat perlakuan komposisi media yang berbeda (K) dan Perlakuan Frekuensi pemberian pupuk organik cair (P) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman daun dewa, perlakuan komposisi media yang berbeda (K) berpengaruh nyata dan sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang akar, berat basah tajuk dan berat kering tajuk. Perlakuan Frekuensi pemberian pupuk organik cair (P) berpengaruh nyata dan sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan jumlah cabang. Sedangkan interaksi keduanya berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel panjang akar pada perlakuan media tanah + pasir + pupuk kandang dan penyemprotan 2,4 dan 6 MST.

Abstract

Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) varietas Lembah Palu merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan Sulawesi Tengah dan merupakan bahan baku industri pengolahan bawang goreng yang memiliki keunikan umbinya yang bertekstur padat, cita rasa yang khas, renyah dan gurih sehingga disenangi oleh masyarakat. Salah satu masalahnya adalah produktivitasnya masih rendah ditingkat petani disebabkan oleh penerapan paket teknologi budidaya yang belum memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pupuk organik cair dan berbagai jenis mulsa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah varietas lembah Palu.Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di rumah kaca (Green house) bertempat BPTP (Balai pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian) Kebun Percobaan Sidondo, Kecamatan Sigi Biromaru, Kabupaten Sigi, Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah dari bulan Maret - Juli 2013 bentuk percobaan menggunakan polybag. Desain penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu frekuensi Pupuk organik cair (B) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu :B0 (Tanpa pemberian pupuk organik cair); B1(Dua kali frekuensi pemberian Pupuk organik cair14 dan 28 HST); dan B2 (Tiga kali pemberian frekuensipupuk organik cair 0,14 dan 28 HST). Faktor kedua yaitu berbagai jenis mulsa (M) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu: M1 (Jerami Padi); M2(Plastik Hitam Perak); dan M3 (Sabut Kelapa). Dengan demikian terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan di ulang sebanyak tiga kali sehingga terdapat 27 satuan percobaan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan frekuensi Pupuk organik cair memberikan pengaruh komponen tinggi tanaman, luas daun, bobot segar tanaman, jumlah umbi per rumpun dan bobot umbi segar.Frekuensi Pupuk organik cair tiga kali (B2) memberikan hasil lebih baik dibandingkan frekuensi Pupuk organik cair dua kali (B1) dan tanpa Pupuk organik cair (B0). Sedangkan berbagai jenis mulsa memberikan pengaruh komponen tinggi tanaman, luas daundan bobot segar tanaman.Mulsa jerami padi (M1) memberikan hasil lebih baik dibandingkan dengan mulsa plastik hitam perak (M2) dan mulsa sabut kelapa (M3). Interaksi keduanya berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap komponen luas daun dan bobot segar tanaman.

Abstract

A Red ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) is a herbal plant that is cultivated by farmers to meet the raw material of medicine industry and conserve the living environment. It contains various chemical substances such as essential oil and oleoresin (gingerol, zingeron, shogaol, and resin).     It has a rhizome used to proliferation and hoarding food substances. Its rhizome can be devided into main rhizome and tillers rhizome. The main rhizome has an elliptical form while the tillers rhizome has a form of root which distend at the point and forming tubers. In cultivating red ginger, it needs the right media to support the growth. It is because the successful cultivation determined by         the capability of plant production, therefore the use of right media is needed as the supplier of nutrients to get the optimal result for the growth of red ginger. This research was aimed to obtain the kinds of good rhizome and the right composition of planting media in breeding the red ginger. The significance of this research is to give informations about the kinds of good rhizome and the right composition of planting media in breeding red ginger. This research was conducted in an experimental design arranged based on a Randomized Block Design with two factors: first factor is the kind of rhizome consists of main rhizome and tillers rhizome; and second factor is the composition of planting media consist of: soil, soil + sand (1:1); soil + sand + chicken manure (1:1:1); soil + sand + straw (1:1:1). Therefore, there were 8 combination treatments and each treatment repeated for three (3) times. Every experimental unit has two (2) samples of plants. So, there are 48 samples of plants in the polybag. The result of this research shows that the treatment for rhizome type, the composition of planting media and the interaction has significant effect on the plant height, number of leaves, girth, number of shoots and leaf area on the plant agse of 4, 6, 8,10 and 12 weeks after planting (WAP). The highest plant height is 58.35 cm, the highest number of leaves is 13.83, the highest girth is 3.90 cm, the highest number of shoots is 5.67, and the highest leaf area is 418,27 cm2, by using the combination of tillers rhizome and the composition of soil planting media + sand + chicken manure with the composition ratio 1:1:1. Key Words: Planting media composition, Red Ginger, and rhizome.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the morphology and anatomy characters of local citrus cropat the Karya Agung and Karya Abadi. The collection of materials was done by exploration on the morpholog of local citrus cropsat Karya Agung the Village and Karya Abadi villages located at Taopa district of Parigi Moutong and the anatomy observation was done at Laboratory of Integrated Pest and Diseaseof Agriculture Faculty of Tadulako University. The study was conducted in October to November 2015. Total sample of citrus crop were collected for morphology and anatomy was 20 samples consisting of 10 samples from the Karya Agung and 10 samples Karya Abadi village, respectively and analyzed using cluster analysis and the results will be shown as dendrogram. The results showed in dendogram there ara citrus cultivars diversity in Parigi Moutong, especially in the village Karya Agung and Karya Abadi, it is visible from the morphological characters and specific anatomical features shown by the results of a cluster analysis to look at the level of the great diversity. There are three groups of accessions in Karya Agung village named KA03, KA01 and KA09. Also, three groups ofaccessions in Karya Abadi Village named KB09, KB01 and KB10.Key Words: Anatomy, citrus crop, characters, morphology.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the growth and yield of sweet corn plants at various doses of organic fertilizer. The research was conducted in New Village, Palu Barat Sub-district, Palu City, which lasted from May to July 2013. This research uses Randomized Block Design, consisting of    6 treatments, namely A = organic fertilizer, B = organic fertilizer 5 ton/ha, C = organic fertilizer 10 ton/ha, D = organic fertilizer 15 ton/ha, E = organic fertilizer 20 ton/ha and F = organic fertilizer 25 ton/ha. Each treatment was repeated three times as a group of 36 plants. Data of observation result were analyzed by Variance (F-Test), if the result of variance analysis showed the real difference then continued test of real honest difference (BNJ). The results showed that the application of organic fertilizer 15 ton/ha in sweet corn plants had the same effect as inorganic fertilizer dose 300 kg urea/ha + 100 kg SP-36/ha + 100 kg KCl/ha. Key Words : Organic fertilizers, Sweet corn.

Abstract

Banggai yam (Dioscorea spp) has a great potential to be developed as a companion crop of rice. Government policies regarding food diversification and the limited arable land in Sulawesi, will provide a great opportunity in this plant. The research objective was to compare the growth and yield some kind of potato Banggai on aplication of various organic fertilizers. This research was conducted housed in the Village. Tondo, East Palu. The experiment began forFebruari to Agustus 2014. The study was a randomized block design (RAK) with three treatments, namely: no treatment (control), Bokashi (manure of poultry) and ash. Where each treatment was repeated three times resulting in 27 experimental units. Significantly different treatment in further test honestly significant difference test (HSD) level of 5%. Parameter observations on the components of growth include the number of shoots, plant height and to include the results of components, total fresh weight of tubers / plot, tuber number of plants / plot, the diameter of the bulbs. Ubi type Banggai significant effect on the growth of the number of plant height (302.72 cm), the number of shoots (3.20) was obtained on the type Raw Memeila Boan, while data results indicate that the type of Raw Boan Memeila more dominant crops produce the amount of 5.78 plant, tuber number 6.89, and 21.01 cm diameter than the bulb types and kinds of Raw Materials Pusus Tu'u, Giving type of organic fertilizer had no significant effect on growth and yield Ubi Banggai and Banggai interaction between the type of potato and organic fertilizer nor significantly affected the growth and yield of potato Banggai.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various doses of chicken manure on the growth and yield of onion (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was conducted in the village of Sidera (Bolu Pountu Jaya), District of Sigi Biromaru, Sigi. In August 2014 up to October, 2014. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) pattern is one factor that is with various doses of chicken manure consists of six levels. Thus, there are six treatments and each treatment was replicated three times as a group, so there are 18 experimental units. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Provision of chicken manure significantly affect the growth and yield of onion. Except at high observation plants after planting 8 weeks after planting chicken manure application had no significant effect. Provision of chicken manure at a dose of 10 tonnes per hectare yield plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers and tuber production better than the dose of other chicken manure.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the effect of tuber size and rates of K fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot (var. Lembah Palu). The site of this research was in Guntarano village, Tanantovea  Sub District of Donggala District.  This research began from June 2013 to August 2013. A randomized block design was used in this research which used two factors namely tuber size  and rates of Kalium. The tuber size consisted of two levels, small tuber (U1= 1.7-2.3g tuber-1) and large tuber (U2= 2.4-3.0 g tuber-1). The K fertilizer consisted of four rates i.e. 100 kg ha-1 K2O  (K1), 150 kg ha-1 K2O (K2),  200 kg ha-1 K2O (K3), and 250 kg ha-1 K2O (K4). The research treatments were replicated three times. This research  showed that the tuber size significantly affected all growth and yield parameters except plant height. The large tubers resulted in better growth than the small tubers. While K rates showed significant effect on all growth and yield parameters except shoot numbers. The K fertilizer applied at the rate of 100 kg ha-1 and 250 kg ha-1 showed greater yield than the others. There was an interaction effects between tuber size and the rates of K fertilizer for all growth and  yield parameters, except leaf number, shoot number and tuber diameter. The small tuber size applied with 100 kg K ha-1 and the large tuber size applied with 250 kg K ha-1 vindicated greater growth and production of shallot plant (var. Lembah Palu).

Abstract

The research aim was to identify the effect of liquid organic fertilizer at low dosage on weeds growth and corn yield in no tillage agriculture. The research was conducted in farmer’s land in Donggala Regency, and in the laboratory of agricultural Faculty of  Tadulako University from May 2007 to  September 2007. The research used a Randomized Block Design in a Factorial experiment with three replicates.  Two factors applied were no tillage agriculture and complete liquid fertilizer. The first factor included no tillage (TOT), TOT + mulch, TOT + glysofat, and TOT+mulch+glysofat.  The second factor consisted of no fertilizer, complete liquid fertilizer at 1/3 recommended dosage (1 L ha-1), complete liquid fertilizer at 2/3 recommended dosage (2 L ha-1), and complete liquid fertilizer at equal to recommended dosage (3 L ha-1).  The research results showed that there was no interaction effect on weeds dry weight ha-1, dry kernel yield ha-1, 100 kernel weight, kernel number per cob, and cob length.  The NJD of weeds changed from broad leave weeds group of  Alternanthera sessilis (L.) DC to teky weeds of  Cyperus rotundus L. The no tillage+mulch+ glisofat treatment resulted in the lowest weeds dry weight of 20.556 g, the highest dry kernel yield of 4,338 ton ha-1, and 100 kernel weight of 34.876 g.
