<![CDATA[Kebutuhan kertas terus meningkat hingga 3% tiap tahunnya. Hal ini mendorong produsen kertas untuk menghasilkan produk kertas yang sesuai dengan permintaan konsumen. Namun, terdapat beberapa kendala dalam produksi kertas diantaranya mesin yang menghasilkan produk cacat salah satunya yaitu jenis cacat warna. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan suatu kebijakan untuk menyelesaikan penyebab terjadinya cacat warna. Kebijakan ini dapat diperoleh dengan mengidentifikasi penyebab yang paling dominan kemudian merumuskan solusi untuk menyelesaikan penyebab tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab terjadinya cacat jenis warna, menentukan faktor dominan, serta menentukan kebijakan yang sesuai untuk menyelesaikan penyebab dominan tersebut. Metode yang dilakukan adalah Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, dan Criticality Analysis. Objek penelitian adalah unit Paper Mill 5 PT Pura Barutama. Dari hasil pengolahan data dan analisis diperoleh hasil bahwa ada 14 minimal cut-set yang dapat menyebabkan jenis cacat warna. Minimal cut-set yang menjadi fokus untuk diselesaikan selanjutnya yaitu pisau refiner yang tumpul atau rusak . Selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan criticality index dan didapat nilai sebesar 465 yang berarti kebijakan maintenance komponen yang sesuai yaitu dengan corrective maintenance Abstract[Quality improvement analysis in white top liner paper using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Criticality Analysis (case study: PT Pura Barutama unit Paper Mill 5)] Paper needs continue to increase by 3% annually. This fact encourages paper producers to produce paper products that meet consumer’s increased needs. However, there are some problems in the production of paper such as machines that produce defective products, for example, the color type defects. Therefore, it takes a policy to solve the causes of the occurrence of color defects. This policy can be obtained by identifying the most dominant cause then formulating solutions to solve the cause. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors causing the occurrence of color type defects, determine the dominant factors and determine the appropriate policy to solve the dominant cause. The methods used are Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and Criticality Analysis. The object of research is Unit Paper Mill 5 PT Pura Barutama. After processing and analyzing the data, the result is there are 14 minimum cut-set that can cause color type defects. Minimum cut-set that becomes the focus to be resolved is blunt or damaged refiner blade. Furthermore, the calculation of the criticality index for the minimum cut-set result a value of 465 which means the appropriate maintenance policy is corrective maintenance.]]>
