Abstract

ABSTRAKPancasila merupakan dasar negara yang di dalamnya terkandung nilai-nilai toleransi atau penghargaan terhadap keberagaman yang ada di Indonesia. Pancasila lahir sebagai buah pemikiran yang mendalam dari para pendiri negara, agar Pancasila dapat merangkum berbagai perbedaan untuk kemudian dapat menjaga keutuhan persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Multikulturalisme Indonesia menghargai akan adanya kebhinnekaan sebagai implementasi dari nilai Pancasila. Keberagaman yang ada di Indonesia bukanlah hal yang harus diperdebatkan atau menimbulkan perpecahan tetapi bagian dari unsur-unsur yang membentuk kesatuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah studi literatur, yakni dengan mengumpulkan data yangrelevanyang terkaitdengankajian pembahasan dalam penulisan artikel ini untuk kemudian dilakukan analisis sehingga menghasilkan ide atau gagasan.Hasil penelitian ini antara lain adalahbahwa Pancasila dirancang agar dapat mewadahi keragaman yang ada. Pancasila sebagai ideologi negara juga pedoman dalam berkehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa dan bernegaramewadahi keberagaman, baik budaya, etnis, ras agama sehingga terbentuklah negara kesatuan Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Pancasila; Multikulturalisme  ABSTRACTPancasila as the basis of the state contains values of tolerance or respect for diversity in Indonesia. Pancasila was born as the fruit of deep thought from the founders of the state, so that Pancasila can encapsulate various differences in order to then be able to maintain the integrity of the nation's unity and integrity. Indonesian multiculturalism recognizes the cultural diversity of the ethnic groups in Indonesia as an implementation of the values of Pancasila. The diversity of the cultures of the Indonesian ethnic groups is not a separator but is an element of unity. The method in this writing uses literature studies, namely by collecting relevant data related to the discussion study in writing this article for later analysis to produce ideas or ideas. The results of this study include that Pancasila is designed to accommodate the existing diversity. Pancasila as the state ideology is also a guideline in living in a community, nation and state where the diversity of cultures, religions, ethnicities and races meet and there is a nation state formed.  Keywords: Pancasila; Multiculturalism

Abstract

This paper aims to describe business in the view of Islam according to Ibn Ubaid in Al-Amwal. The focus studied is business as a da'wah movement that has an impact on the social welfare of the people as exemplified by the role model of Muslims, Prophet Muhammad SAW. Through literature review, data collection comes from books and articles and analyzed and triangulation of data. Through this method, it can be explained that Islam accommodates every human effort in managing his life through business. It is based on teachings that are attentive to social life so that an Islamic business culture is formed which leads to social welfare through three main assets as a guide, namely, profit (material) and benefit (non-material), growth and blessings. Quraish Shihab shows that Islam's attention to every business that contains benefits for others deserves appreciation in one's spiritual quality. In addition, economic stability and good governance of state administration are factors for creating prosperity by adhering to the principles of monotheism, the benefit of mankind, the unity of humanity, the belief in the unity of the world and the hereafter.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the contribution of creative economic development in the effort to lift local cultural diversity in Indonesia, which is examined in the perspective of anthropology. Through a two-month literature study, The authors found that the development of the creative economy at least resulted in two implications of reducing community economic gaps and efforts to foster cultural work in Indonesia. The first implications show that according to the survei of Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) and Badan Ekonomi Kreatif (Bekraf), the contribution of creative economy to the country's income are large and increase continuously. The second implication shows that the potential to explore cultural diversity in Indonesia is one of them by developing a distinctive cultural product that is locally characterized. In anthropology perspective, culture and creative economy have a correlation which both come from an infinite human idea. Through ideas, both finds their base in converting social capital into economic capital and vice versa

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan proses pembentukan nilai multikulturalisme pada masyarakat Haurgeulis, Indramayu yang dikaji melalui metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengamatan terlibat, wawancara mendalam, dan studi literatur. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kehidupan multikultural di Haurgeulis dibentuk oleh empat kelompok etnik pendatang: Jawa, Sunda, Arab, dan Tionghoa di awal abad ke-20. Setiap kelompok etnik memiliki keahliannya masing-masing, seperti pertanian yang didominasi keturunan Jawa dan Sunda, sebagaimana keturunan Arab dan Tionghoa di bidang perdagangan. Adanya keahlian pekerjaan membentuk hubungan antaretnik menjadi saling ketergantungan dalam kehidupan ekonomi. Dengan saling ketergantungan, masyarakat di Haurgeulis menunjukkan sikap penerimaan dan tidak diskriminatif kepada liyannya. Pengalaman hidup bersama tersebut semakin membentuk nilai-nilai multikulturalisme pada masyarakat Haurgeulis. This paper describes the process of value creation of multiculturalism in Haurgeulis Indramayu society which is studied through qualitative method. The Data is collected through observational techniques, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The results show that multicultural life in Haurgeulis was formed by four ethnic groups of immigrants: Java, Sunda, Arabian and Chinese in the early 20th century. Each ethnic group has its own expertise, such as agriculture that dominated by Javanese and Sundanese descent, while the Arab and Chinese descendants of trade. The existence of job skills forms inter-ethnic relations into interdependence in economic life. With interdependence, people in Haurgeulis shows acceptance and non-discriminatory attitude to the others. Life experience in living together increasingly shapes the values of multiculturalism in Haurgeulis society.

Abstract

This study aims to describe famasulö tradition at Nias and how it relates to family poverty. Famasulö is a tradition among Nias people to borrow money from kinship members in order to fund a wedding party. The study took place at Sirombu, West Nias. Ethnographic method was applied in the study; and the data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and literature review. The study found that Famasulö has been practiced since before people at Nias use banknotes as currency. Nias people view  wedding party as important ritual, and they attempt to hold it eventhough they are not yet financially capable. In fact, famasulö is a tradition that represents and strengthen family and kinship solidarity. However, it is often bring the families who practice it, into poverty. Eight families in this study have to face poverty and food scarcity because their income have been allocated to pay off debt due to famasulö. Thus, although the tradition can strengthen kinship solidarity,it is at the same time put families who practice, vulnerable to poverty.

Abstract

This article contains a study of Sunan Gunung Djati regarding his preaching (dakwah) in Cirebon where the people are multicultural. Through historical research methodology which is divided into three basic heuristic processes, interpretation and historiography, this paper aims to present descriptive-analytic writing through the contextualization of historical (past) and present values. The focus of this paper discusses the path of preaching Sunan Gunung Djati in Cirebon which in its history has built an ethno-religious society as an effort to harmonize religious and cultural values ​​that are in line with the values ​​of moderation. This study is a response to the conflicts that occur due to ethnic, racial, religious and intergroup sentiments which are a challenge for multicultural Indonesian society. The results of this study show that Sunan Gunung Djati played a major role as a religious and government leader in building the stability of his country and religion. There are at least three efforts that can be taken as steps to internalize the values ​​of moderation in Indonesia, namely regulation-based efforts, education-based efforts and socialization-based efforts.

Abstract

This paper examines the meaning of symbols contained in the Ngupati tradition through the recitation of the Qur'an in Pamijahan Village, Cirebon. Symbols in a tradition are studied through the theory of symbolic interactionism. The method in this research is qualitative by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that ngupati is a four-month tradition of pregnancy with the aim of safety for the prospective baby. The symbol of safety is manifested through reading special surah in the Qur'an, namely Surah Yusuf, Surah Maryam, Surah Lukman, and Surah Al-Waqi'ah. The four surah contain symbolic meanings such as perfection for the baby, ease in the process of giving birth, giving an educated character, and the sustenance. This meaning is complemented by traditional attributes such as food in the form of ketupat which in shape symbolizes the four directions and one Qibla, which is towards Allah the Creator.
