Abstract

This study was aimed to produce complement book material for short stories appreciation course that satisfied some aspects in the term of content, presentation, linguistic and display as well as (2) to describe the effectiveness result of the complement book of short stories appreciation course based on the field trials. The developing model used in this study was adapting the research model of Research and Development (R&D) by Borg and Gall. The product was validated by experts; short stories expert, short stories appreciation expert, and material design expert. The result of the product validation, then, divided into four aspects, such as content, presentation, linguistic, and display. Based on the validation, it showed that the product was accepted well by the students. It can be seen from the mean of the posttest, 70. So it can be concluded that the product was effective and can be applied in the teaching learning activity.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa buku penunjang materi kuliah apresiasi cerpen yang memenuhi aspek kelayakan isi, penyajian, kebahasaan, dan tampilan serta mendeskripsikan hasil uji keefektifan buku penunjang materi kuliah apresiasi cerpen berdasarkan hasil uji coba di lapangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi model R & D (Borg dan Gall). Produk yang telah dikembangkan, divalidasi oleh ahli, yang meliputi ahli cerpen, ahli pembelajaran apresiasi cerpen, dan ahli desain bahan ajar. Aspek yang divalidasi, yaitu isi, penyajian, kebahasaan, dan tampilan. Hasil uji keefektifan produk ini dapat diterima dengan baik oleh mahasiswa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada rata-rata hasil postes mahasiswa sebesar 70 bila dibandingkan dengan rata-rata hasil pretes mahasiswa sebesar 37,81. Dengan demikian, produk yang telah dikembangkan dapat dikatakan efektif dan dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran.
