Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the quality of leader-member exchange towards organizational commitment with job satisfaction as an intervening variable on employees of The Central Statistics Office (BPS) in Bali. This study collects primary data via a self-enumerated questionnaire with 7-points Likert scale ranging from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree." With a population of 264 employees, the sample method employed is saturated sampling or census. This study's sample had 173 respondents, with a response rate of 65.5% of the population. The SEM-PLS method was used to analyze the data with the Smart PLS 3.0 tool. The findings revealed that job satisfaction fully mediates the influence of the quality of the leader-member exchange on organizational commitment. The findings indicate that the quality of leader-member exchange may not necessarily boost employee’s organizational commitment if they are not satisfied with their jobs. As a result, in order to boost employee commitment, leader must be able to build quality relationships to increase the job satisfaction of his/her subordinates.

Abstract

A Human Resource Management (HRM) is a branch of science in dealing with various challenges within the scope of the organization itself, namely humans. One of the roles of Human Resources Management is to ensure that every employee within the organization has the same vision as the organization so that the organization grows and develops in accordance with the stated goals. This is to ensure that employees have sufficient competence to face challenges, both internal and external to the organization and this is the main key for the organization to grow and survive. One type of employee development in Human Resources Management is through training. One of the training methods that is currently frequently used is e-learning and in-house training. Whether e-learning and in-house training has an impact on performance can be determined by conducting an evaluation. One type of training evaluation is the Kirkpatrick evaluation. Based on the results of this evaluation, it can be concluded from this research that e-learning method training has no effect on employee performance at KPP Madya Karawang and while in-house training method training has an effect on employee performance at KPP Madya Karawang. The hypothesis that the evaluation of Kirkpatrick model training as a moderating variable strengthens the influence of e-learning training on performance is unacceptable, while the hypothesis that the evaluation of Kirkpatrick model training as a moderating variable strengthens the influence of in-house training on performance is acceptable

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world since early 2020 has changed the way and style of working. In the new normal order, the Ministry of Finance is adapting to this situation by setting up a combination work scheme of Work from Home (WFH) or working from home and (Work from Office/WFO) or working in the office. In this research, the combination of WFH and WFO work is hereinafter referred to as the New Normal Perception to Work (NNPW) variable. The aim of this research is to find out whether New Normal Perception to Work (NNPW) is related to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). This research was conducted on employees of the Tax Service Office located in the city of Semarang with a population of 808 employees with a sample of 272 respondents. This research also uses the mediating variables of job satisfaction and Work Life Balance (WLB). Variable measurements were carried out using a Likert scale, and the response results were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the AMOS 22.0 application. The research results show that New Normal Perception to Work influences employee OCB behavior, WLB and job satisfaction. Work Life Balance is able to mediate the influence of the relationship between New Normal Perception to Work and OCB. Meanwhile, on the other hand, job satisfaction has no effect on OCB, and is unable to mediate the influence of the relationship between NNPW and OCB.
