Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to know the influence and interaction between experiential learning model and student creativity toward the result of mathematic learning.Population of this research is student of VIA and VIB class SDN Pelamunan Serang, 2017/2018 year. Sample of this research is taken by using Multi Stage Random Sampling. Research design used in this research is factorial design 2X2 with three variables which contains two independent variables are experiential learning model and student creativity; and one dependent variable is the result of mathematic learning.Collecting of the data is conducted by using test technique (the result of mathematic learning), questioner technique (student creativity) and document technique (experiential learning model). Data collected is analyzed by using ANAVA two sides and it is continued with the tukey test because there is influence between experiential learning models with student creativity toward the result of mathematic learning. Before the data is being analyzed, it is conducted descriptive statistical analysis and data testing (normality and homogeneity tests). Result of the research shows that: (1) experiential learning model gives influence to the result of mathematic learning, it is showed by the result of anava where F count is (11,589) more and F-table for the significance level 5% (4,00); (2) student creativity gives influence to the result of mathematic learning, it is showed by the result of anava where the F-count (33,362) more than F-table for the significance level 5% (4,00); (3) there is interaction between experiential learning model and student creativity toward the result of mathematic learning, it is showed by F count (4,627) more than F table for the significance level 5% (4,00); (4) there is influence of the result of mathematic learning with experiential learning concept for the student?s creativity, it is showed by the result of tukey test where the count test (17, 91) higher than t test.

Abstract

The experimental design was conducted to investigate the use of Microsoft Mathematics, free software made by Microsoft Corporation, in teaching and learning Calculus. This paper reports results from experimental study details on implementation of Microsoft Mathematics in Calculus, students’ achievement and the effects of the use of Microsoft Mathematics on students’ attitudes in relation to such experience. Two classes of the students from the first year student in Universitas Serang Raya were participated in the study. Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan deskripsi investigasi penggunaan e-learning dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya Quipper School, dengan fokus pada pemahaman, berpikir kritis, dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Studi ini memberikan bukti empiris tentang penggunaan Quipper School, dalam mendukung eksplorasi pengetahuan dan kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan matematika tingkat SMP, yaitu bangun datar. Dua kelas dari siswa SMP Kelas VIII di SMP PGRI Kramat Watu menjadi subjek studi ini. Kelompok kontrol mendapat perlakuan pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional dan kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan Quipper School. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan mengumpulkan hasil pre tes dan post tes, mengisi kuisioner dan wawancara. Studi ini menemukan bahwa (1) penerapan Quipper School memiliki pengaruh positif pada aspek teknologi pendidikan dalam memperkaya belajar matematika siswa SMP PGRI Kramatwatu Kelas VIII untuk lebih terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas, (2) siswa SMP PGRI Kramatwatu Kelas VIII dengan pembelajaran berbantuan Quipper School memiliki perolehan nilai yang lebih tinggi dan memiliki efek positif pada kemandirian belajar khususnya pada materi Bangun datar.

Abstract

Abstrak: Fokus kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa workshop dengan tema publish or perish (publikasikan atau tersisihkan) dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam kegiatan menyusun dan mempublikasikan karya tulis ilmiah. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dengan Participatory Learning Method (PLM) yang diimplementasikan pada 17 guru di SMP Negeri 20 Kota Serang. Materi yang diberikan berupa isu yang berkembang dalam dunia pendidikan, inovasi dalam metode dan media pembelajaran, serta metode penelitian pendidikan tindakan kelas. Para guru juga mendapatkan pendampingan penyusunan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa tiga artikel yang telah melalui penyeleksian dipublikasikan di Jurnal GAUSS: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Serang Raya. Kegiatan ini memberikan indikasi positif bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak yang baik sebagai permulaan untuk membangun motivasi dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan karya tulis ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan ini menjadi bahan refleksi dan pertimbangan tim pengabdian Universitas Serang Raya dan pihak sekolah untuk bekerjasama menyelenggarakan kegiatan lanjutan dan berkesinambungan.Abstract: The focus of the community learning service program was a ‘publish or perish’ workshop to improve the ability of teachers in writing and publishing scientific papers. Participatory Learning Method (PLM) was used to achieve the goals that implemented in each 17 teacher in SMP Negeri 20 Kota Serang as the participant. The material provided is about education’s issues, innovation in teaching and learning methods, and Classroom Action Reasearch methods. The teachers also received assistance in writing scientific papers. As a result, three selected articles published in the GAUSS Journal: Journal of Mathematics Education, Universitas Serang Raya. The value provides a positive indication to the community learning service program. It has a good impact as a beginning to build motivation in writing and publishing scientific papers. The results of this activity were a reflection and consideration of the Universitas Serang Raya as an organizer team and the school to work together to carry out follow-up and continuous activities.

Abstract

Ilmiah keterampilan adalah keterampilan khusus yang membantu siswa untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan mereka. Tidak langsung, keterampilan ilmiah yang berkembang dengan baik akan memimpin mereka untuk secara aktif terlibat. Keterampilan khusus ini perlu dikembangkan melalui keterampilan kognitif. Salah satu keterampilan kognitif yang dikembangkan adalah pembenaran keterampilan. Keterampilan tersebut dikembangkan melalui pengalaman belajar. Penelitian ini melibatkan 26 siswa di salah satu dari SMP di Serang. Penelitian ini berfokus pada topik tentang garis, sudut, segitiga dan persegi panjang. Penelitian ini adalah kuasi penelitian eksperimental dengan satu kelompok Pretest Posttest desain menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan conjecturing matematika siswa SMP memberikan kontribusi positif melalui pengalaman belajar.

Abstract

Sebagai seorang guru yang ingin menjadi guru profesional maka dituntut untuk bisa menghadirkan model pembelajaran kreatif, inovatif, menarik dan menyenangkan. Agar bisa menarik minat belajar siswa guru harus bisa menghadirkan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan selalu menghadirkan model pembelajaran yang variatif agar siswa tidak bosan dengan model pembelajaran yang sifatnya monoton. Salah satunya dengan menerapkan sistem pembelajaran e-learning dari Quipper School. Quipper School adalah metode pemberian tugas secara online kepada peserta didik. Dengan demikian penggunaan Quipper School akan mempermudah aktivitas bagi para guru dalam memberikan pembelajaran yang lebih baik, menyenangkan, menarik dan pastinya berkualitas. Seperti pemberian tugas kepada siswa, setelah siswa mengerjakannya maka otomatis hasil pekerjaan siswa akan masuk di data guru secara otomatis

Abstract

Penalaran adaptif adalah salah satu komponen kunci dari kemahiran matematika. Dalam perkembangannya diketahui penalaran adaptif didukung oleh aspek non-kognitif individu yakni affective dan behavioral. Sejumlah teori mengungkapkan peluang optimalisasi aspek non-kognitif untuk pengembangan kemampuan penalaran adaptif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menelusuri faktor non-kognitif yang berpeluang memberi dampak pada optimalisasi kemampuan penalaran adaptif melalui pola asosiasi yang muncul pada basis data. Pendekatan penelitian data mining dengan teknik penemuan pola asosiasi (Association Rule Mining) atau Algoritma Apriori digunakan sebagai metode penelusuran faktor. Langkah penelitian yang dilakukan yakni persiapan data (fiksasi instrumen dan penentuan sampel penelitian), pengolahan data (preprocess dan transformation), dan mining dan analisa (menentukan nilai support dan nilai confidence serta interpretasi hasil). Subjek penelitian yakni siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas di lingkungan Kota Serang yang memiliki rentang usia 16-17 tahun. Adapun untuk sampel penelitian diambil sebanyak 100 orang siswa yang mengisi tes kognitif dan non-kognitif. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan analisis data diketahui bahwa seorang siswa memiliki kemungkinan 100% berada di level tinggi kemampuan penalaran adaptif jika memiliki dominasi penggunaan otak kiri, self-efficacy di level yang minimal sedang, kecenderungan kepribadian Melankolis dan ­self-directed learning berada di level tinggi. Adaptive reasoning is one of the key components of mathematical proficiency. In its development, it is known that adaptive reasoning is supported by individual non-cognitive aspects, namely affective and behavioral. A number of theories reveal opportunities for optimizing non-cognitive aspects for the development of adaptive reasoning skills. The purpose of this study is to explore non-cognitive factors that have the possibility to impact on optimizing adaptive reasoning skills through association rule appeared in the database. Data mining research approach with association rule mining technique or Apriori Algorithm is used as a factor tracing method. The research steps carried out were data preparation (fixation of instruments and determination of research samples), data processing (preprocess and transformation), and mining and analysis (determining support values and confidence values and interpretation of results). The research subjects were high school students in Kota Serang who have an age range of 16-17 years. As for the research sample, 100 students were taken who filled out cognitive and non-cognitive tests. Based on the results of testing and data analysis, it is identified that a student has a 100% probability of being at a high level of adaptive reasoning skills if he has left brain dominance, self-efficacy is at a minimum level of moderate, Melancholic personality tendencies and self-directed learning are at a high level.
