Abstract

Education in Indonesia is a form of contribution to the thoughts of Western world philosophers. Before education was known, human civilization became the main study in the birth of a science. With him education and history have a close and inseparable relationship. Philosophical figures have contributed many thoughts related to education. Therefore these figures are very worthy to be studied in the world of education. There are two philosophical figures themselves, namely the philosophers of the western and eastern worlds. This research uses a qualitative type approach with a descriptive method. The source of the study in this study used a research library. The purpose of this study is to find out the philosophical figures of the western world and their thoughts. The result of this research is that there are many philosophers who introduce their thoughts. There are about 100 philosophers listed in a study, but only a few whose thoughts are considered relevant include Thales, Pythagoras, Xenopanes, Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.

Abstract

Islam is here to provide peace and tranquility for mankind. This was brought and taught by the Messenger of Allah in Islam. Islam teaches humans to obey the laws in it which are sourced from the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah. Included in the legal study of closing roads due to walimah, Islam provides guidance by weighing and looking at the disadvantages and advantages. This study uses a qualitative approach using a type of literature study. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation with several sources such as books, web articles, and journals. The results of this study are in Islamic law regarding road closures because walimah should not be carried out because it remembers the basic law which refers to the verses of the Koran which state that it includes acts of tyranny and hurting others. However, there are scholars who allow road closures because of walimah with several conditions including guaranteeing the safety of others, obtaining permission from the government, and providing alternative roads
