People’s empowerment could be done in several ways in all elements of society. One of the ways is by taking advantage of media for the Fishermen. Fishermen have a lot to fix in terms of their business system. On the other hand, in order to have an appropriate competence and to take advantage of business opportunities, the use of media to get the information and to gain new knowledge is highly needed. This research is conducted in Pasaran Island since it is the center of fish processing in Kota Bandar Lampung. The sample of this research is the whole group members of fishermen as many as 125 people. The research data collected consist of primary and secondary data, and then these data are tested with rank Spearman and path analysis correlation statistics. The result of this research shows that based on the rank Spearman correlation analysis, the factors related to the use of communication media result age and education level have high correlations with the use of media. The number of family dependents, the length of work as a fisherman and also the income do not have high correlations with the use of communication media. From the path analysis, it is revealed that fishermen’s characteristics have direct influences on fishermen’s empowerment but they also have indirect influences as well by the use of media means. Those refer to age and education level.

The purpose of this research is to assess implementation of Upsus Pajale Program, participation of farmer group members, and analyse factors related to the participation of farmers group members in the Upsus Pajale Program. This is a survey which is purposively undertaken in West Metro Sub district, involving 52 farmer households. The study was carried out from September to October 2017. Data are analyzed using qualitative-descriptive analysis and Rank Spearman correlation test. The results show that factors related to participation of farmer group members were farmers frequency in attending agricultural extension meeting and level of motivation. However, farmer’s age, formal education level, and land ownership have no relation with participation. Overall, participation of farmer group members in Upsus Pajale Program in West Metro Sub district is quite active.Key words: participation of famer group members, Upsus Pajale

This research aims to determine the role of Woman Farmer Group (KWT) members and factors related to the role of KWT in actualizing Sungai Langka as an Agrotourism Village. The research location was chosen purposively in Sungai Langka Village of Gedong Tataan Sub-district of Pesawaran Regency. Respondents were 61 respondents using Proportional Random Sampling. This research was conducted from January to February 2018. Data analysis method used descriptive method with quantitative approach. To answer the first purpose used descriptive analysis, and the second goal by using a quantitative approach of Rank Spearman analysis method. The results indicated that the role level of KWT members in mini jackfruit planting and handicraft production is included in a low classification, the roles of KWT members in the manufacture of vegetable quoting galleries, fruit pickling and in Small and Medium Enterprises processing of agricultural products are included in medium classification, KWT in actualizing as Sungai Langka Agrotourism Village is generally included in the middle classification. Factors associated with the role of KWT members in actualizing the Agrotourism Village Sungai Langka are the motivation, cosmopolite character, and the level of knowledge. Whereas, the age and level of education were not significantly related to the role of KWT members in actualizing Sungai Langka Village as the Agrotourism Village. This study aimed to analyze the leadership level of the farmer group chairman, the dynamism level of the farmer group, the relation between farmer grup chairman’s leadership and group dynamics, in addition to the relation of group dynamics and rice productivity in Natar Sub-Distict of South Lampung Regency. This study was conducted purposively in Natar Sub-District of South Lampung Regency by survey method, in which respondents consist of 69 farmer groups. The data was collected in September - December 2016. The data was analyzed descriptively and statistically, in which the relation between variables of this study were tested by Rank-Sperman Correlation Test. The results showed that: the leadership level of the farmer group chairman in Natar Sub-District of South Lampung Regency was in good classification, the dynamics level of the group was in quite good classification. The leadership of the farmer group’s chairman in Natar Sub-District was significantly related to the group dynamics, whereas group dynamics was not correlated significantly to productivity of rice in Natar Sub-Distric of South Lampung Regency.Key words : group dynamics, leadership, productivity of rice

Pemerintah merekomendasikan budidaya tanaman sehat yang berjalan tanpa adanya kendala/ permasalahan. Petani menghadapi permasalahan umum dalam budidaya tanaman sehat ini salah satunya adalah harga. Label sehat pada produk ini menjadikan label harga yang cukup tinggi. Petani padi sehat di Desa Rejo Asri melaksanakan usahatani padi sehat dengan banyak tantangan. Tantangan tersebut mulai dari jumlah produksi padi konvensional yang masih lebih banyak daripada padi sehat. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui Bagaimana inovasi padi sehat dalam budidaya usahatani padi sehat di Desa Rejo Asri Kecamatan Seputih Raman Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Rejo Asri Kecamatan Seputih Raman Kabupaten Lampung dengan responden sebanyak 50 petani padi sehat. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan. Hasil penelitian inovasi padi sehat menguntungkan petani dari segi ekonomi. Inovasi padi sehat sesuai dengan nilai sosial budaya, kebutuhan, dan pengalaman masa lalu. Petani mudah melakukan, mencoba, dan mengamati hasil budidaya padi sehat.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja PPL di Kecamatan Abung Semuli Kabupaten Lampung Utara. Lokasi penelitian ini ditentukan secara purpossiv (sengaja) dengan pertimbangan Kecamatan Abung Semuli merupakan salah satu kecamatan dengan luas panen yang sempit namun memiliki hasil produktivitas yang tinggi. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Juni-Juli 2022. Pemilihan unit sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara acak dan didapatkan sebanyak 90 orang petani. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei mengingat banyaknya unit populasi yang ada, untuk menganalisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kinerja penyuluh pertanian di BPP Abung Semuli yang dinilai dari tiga indikator yaitu persiapan penyuluh pertanian, pelaksanaan penyuluhan pertanian dan evaluasi penyuluhan pertanian termasuk dalam kategori sedang sebesar 86,66%.
