Abstract

DOI: 10.17014/ijog.v4i4.83Kelud Volcano (+1731 m) in East Java is one of the most active and dangerous volcanoes in Indonesia. A large lake occupies the summit crater. Historical eruptions generally only lasted for a very short time, mostly no longer than a few hours. The outburst is usually accompanied by pyroclastic flows. On August 2007, the activity of the volcano was initiated by the increase of the temperature of lake water and the change of the colour from typical green to yellow. Activities of the volcano are discussed following the swarms of volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquakes on September 10th, September 26th to 29th, and October 24th to November 2nd. On September 26th to 29th, hypocentral distribution of those VT shifted from 5 km deep to just beneath the crater. The highest number of VT earthquakes occurred on November 1st attaining 50 events, then followed by a swarm of B-type events, where the number reached 1437 events in a day. The volcanic activity peaked on November 3rd when seismic records became saturated, which then was preceded by a sharp increase of lake temperature and a sudden deflation of radial tilt. It suggests that the lava extrusion forming a lava dome was taking place.

Abstract

Pengetahuan fisika dasar merupakan salah satu pendidikan yang harus diketahui. Dengan pengetahuan tersebut, dapat diketahui ilmu sains baik benda hidup maupun sains fisika. Dalam pembelajaran fisika masih dalam bentuk buku yang berupa teks dan gambar sehingga siswa masih kesulitan dalam membayangkan proses fisis yang terjadi pada fisika. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan teknik neuro language program of metaphor pada media pembelajaran fisika melalui cerita kartun sebagai proses pembelajaran. Teknik neuro language program of metaphor digunakan untuk mempengaruhi siswa dalam proses belajar. Proses mempengaruhi siswa dengan cara menceritakan terlebih dahulu mengenai materi sacara umum yang akan disampaikan sebelum masuk pada inti materi tersebut menggunakan aplikasi kartun berbasis flash. Berdasarkan uji coba yang dilakukan di SMP PLUS MUDA PRAKARYA, media pembelajaran ini membantu dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Climate is average condition for certain time period. The one of few factors influencethe climate is rainfall. This research develops a system which can predict and giveinformation of monthly rainfall prediction and also for the next few months.Climatology data from BMKG from 2000 to 2009 is need in this research. The dataconsist of seven variable which are temperature, sunlight condition, air pressure,humidity, wind speed, wind direction and evaporate. This research uses ExponentialSmoothing for rainfall prediction and K-Nearest Neighbor that need for rainfallprediction classified. The result shows that the prediction accuracy is 58, 33%.

Abstract

Automated Text Summarization is a process that utilize an computer application toproduce summary from a document and have the same meaning form document. Theresearch purposed is to develop an application that produce single document summaryin Bahasa Indonesia dynamically. This application quote the majority core meaning ofdocument and display to user the summary. Implementing of Term Frequency-InverseDocument Frequency (TF-IDF) count weight and relation between text. Input andoutput document form a document in Bahasa Indonesia. Input document consist of title,heading and text while the output document is essense of the document. Thisexperimental result shows that accuracy is 61%.

Abstract

Development of packstack for compute function analysis with IAAS service  Analysis of computational functions by utilizing the IAAS model for private cloud computing services in Packstack is one of the large-scale data storage solutions. Problems that often occur when implementing various applications are server resource requirements, monitoring processes that are less than optimal, offering that is limited in time when building servers, and when upgrading hardware devices will have an impact on server downtime that quite long. The development of private cloud computing technology can be one solution to the problem in question. This study utilizes Openstack and Packstack by applying a single node server controller with 2 compute server nodes. Administration server with IAAS service approach and self-service. The scalability testing is simple and more time-efficient. Change the size of the virtual server (instance) developed in a more optimal running condition for measuring overhead values in private cloud computing with a downtime of 16 seconds.
