Abstract

The writers has conducted exploratory study to preserve valuable heritage of Banjar Moslem Scholars, M. Arsyad al-Banjari, and to promote the heritage so that it can exist in the age of advanced development. After a dialogue with the local people, and the stakeholder of Pondok Dalam Pagar boarding school, it can be concluded that Pondok Dalam Pagar boarding school needs to perform empowerment on some aspects, i.e.: developing agribussiness life skill oriented curriculum, improving teaching and learning infrastructure, estabishing students’ potential based learnng, and holding management and leadership training. Keywords: boarding school, empowerment, participatory study.  Peneliti melakukan eksplorasi penelitian demi melestarikan warisan penting ulama Banjar, M. Arsyad al-Banjari, dan mengembangkannya agar bisa eksis di antara perkembangan zaman yang semakin maju. Dalam dalam penelusuran tersebut, terutama sesudah melakukan dialog bersama masyarakat, stakeholder Pondok Dalam Pagar, maka kami bersama-sama berkesimpulan bahwa pondok Dalam Pagar perlu untuk melakukan pemberdayaan pada beberapa aspek, seperti mengembangkan kurikulum berorientasi life skill agrobisnis, perbaikan dan pengembangan sarana dan prasarana kegiatan belajar mengajar, menciptakan metodologi pengajaran berbasis potensi santri, mengadakan pelatihan manajemen dan kepemimpinan.  Kata kunci: pesantren, pemberdayaan, penelitian partisipatif
