Abstract

Kemandirian adalah suatu sikap individu yang diperoleh secara kumulatif selama perkembangan, dimana individu akan terus belajar untuk bersikap mandiri dalam menghadapi berbagai situasi lingkungan, sehingga individu pada akhirnya akan mampu berfikir dan bertindak sendiri secara mandiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orangtua dengan kemandirian anak usia prasekolah. Desain penelitian menggunakan cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di TK Bani Achmad Tlogo Indah Malang. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah anak usia prasekolah yang berjumlah 40 annka. Teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling. Data pola asuh orang tua dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan data kemandirian anak dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi. Data diuji menggunakan koefisien kontingansi dengan α=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pola asuh orang tua adalah demokratis, yaitu sebanyak 33 orang (82,5%), sebagian besar anak usia prasekolah memiliki kemandirian yaitu sebanyak 32 orang (80,0%), dan ada hubungan yang signifikan pola asuh orang tua dengan kemandirian anak usia prasekolah di TK Bani Ahmad Malang (p=0,007). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka disarankan kepada orang tua untuk lebih mengoptimalkan tentang pola asuh dan kemandirian anak. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of parenting with the independence of preschoolers. Research design using cross sectional. The research was conducted at TK Bani Achmad Tlogo Indah Malang. The population in this study were preschoolers, amounting to 40 children. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Parent's parenting data were collected using questionnaires and children's independence data were collected using observation sheets. The data were tested using a coefficient of contingency with α = 0.05. The results showed that most parenting parents were democratic, as many as 33 people (82.5%), most preschool children had independence that was 32 people (80.0%), and there was a significant relationship of parenting old with the independence of preschoolers in kindergarten Bani Ahmad Malang (p = 0.007). From the results of this study it is advisable for parents to further optimize the child's parenting style and independence. Keywords: Parenting style; independence of preschoolers.
