Abstract

Biomaterial substance is needed by citizen, but the suplayed is limited and expansive. It become inspirations give new efisience inovations biomaterial subtance from nature. For that research is done which has purpose to make biomaterial subtance from eggsheld waste and mud. Method which is used are nanocomposite CaO/SiO2 syntesis and mix by ratio 2:1., than calcinations by temperature 700oC, 800oC, 900oC, than caracterize use hardness vickers, SEM, BET test. The result of caracteritation of show that at 900oC the quality highest hardness receand is 109,1 ± 5,22 VHN. Than microstructure where in this temperature granula which clod and became bigger the pore little. Where as for its porositation analyzed at this temperature of surface value is 23.843 m2/g and pore volume is 0.007 cc/g. From the analysis can get conclutions that the increasing by temperature of calcinations coused hardness quality increase and influence microstructure also surface area at the sample surface.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis silika gel sebagai adsorben ion Pb[II] serta mendiskripsikan porositas SiO2 sebelum dan setelah digunakan sebagai adsorben. Bahan baku berasal dari abu vulkanik yang digunakan untuk membuat natrium silikat (Na2SiO3) sebagai prekursor, HCl digunakan sebagai katalis dan aquades sebagai pelarut, dengan metode hidrotermal-kopresipitasi. Dalam penelitian ini waktu kontak antara silika gel dengan ion Pb[II] digunakan sebagai variabel manipulasi. Prosedur adsorpsi dilakukan dengan cara silika gel sebanyak 250 mg diinteraksikan dengan 20 ml ion Pb[II] 5 ppm, kemudian diaduk menggunakan magnetic stirer dengan kecepatan 80 rpm selama 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 menit. Kemudian diendapkan dengan centrifuge dengan kecepatan 2000 rpm selama 30 menit. Filtratnya diuji dengan alat AAS untuk mengetahui konsentrasi yang teradsorp sementara endapannya diuji dengan metode BET untuk mengetahui porositasnya. Daya dan efisiensi adsorpsi silika gel hasil sintesis terhadap ion logam Pb[II] terbaik terjadi pada waktu kontak selama 20 menit. Daya dan efisiensi adsorpsi yang dimiliki sebesar 0.39952 mg/g, 99,88 %. Porositas silika yang meliputi luas permukaan sebelum digunakan untuk adsorpsi sebesar 106,68 m2/g dan setelah diadsorpsi menjadi 1174 m2/g. Untuk volume pori dan ukuran partikel pori SiO2 sebelum digunakan sebesar 1,29 cc/g, 24,3 nm setelah digunakan untuk adsorpsi menjadi 1,34 cc/g , 2,29 nm. Kata Kunci : Adsorpsi, Porositas, Silika, Centrifuge Abstract The purpose of this research is synthesized silicate (SiO2) as an adsorben ion Pb[II], then descripted power and efficiency of adsorption, as soon as descripted (SiO2) porosities before and after had used an adsorben. Raw material content from a Kelud volcanic dust that was used to develope sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) as a precursor. HCl was used as a catalyst and aquadest as a solvent. In this research interaction time between silicate with ion Pb[II] were used as a manipulation variable. The step of adsorption method was reacted 250 mg silicate with 20 ml 5 ppm ion Pb[II], then mixed it with magnetic stirrer with speed 80 rpm during (10,20,30,40,50,60) minutes. Precipitation method was done by centrifuge during 30 minutes with speed 2000 rpm. A liquid from filtration was analyzed by AAS and precipitate was analyzed by BET test. The best power and efficientcy adsorption from AAS result could be found at interaction time during 20 minutes. The power and efficientcy adsorption were 0.39952 mg/g and, 99,88 %. A silicate porosities included surface area before adsorption is 106,68 m2/g, after adsorption is 1174 m2/g. The porous volume and particle size before adsorption is 1,29 cc/g and 34,3 nm ,and then after adsorption is 1,34 cc/g and 2,29 nm. Keywords : Adsorption, Porosity, Silicate, Centrifuge
