Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jl. Anggrek Raya, Kelurahan Simpang Selayang, Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan, Medan, dengan ketinggian tempat ± 30 meter dpl. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Desember 2018 sampai Maret 2019.Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok. Faktor pertama yaitu perlakuan aplikasi jenis pestisida nabati terdiri dari N0 = kontrol, N1 = daun mimba, N2 = batang serai, N3 = rimpang kunyit. Faktor kedua yaitu perlakuan aplikasi berbagai konsentrasi pestisida nabati terdiri dari B1 = 150 gr/liter air, B2 = 200 gr/liter air, B3 = 250 gr/liter air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi jenis pestisida nabati berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap bobot tongkol dengan kelobot per tanaman, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, produksi jagung perpetak lahan, indeks kemanisan jagung manis serta jumlah dan jenis tiap hama. Aplikasi berbagai konsentrasi pestisida nabati berpengaruh nyata terhadap terhadap persentase serangan hama, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap bobot tongkol dengan kelobot per tanaman, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, produksi jagung perpetak lahan, indeks kemanisan jagung manis. Interaksi antara perlakuan jenis pestisida dengan berbagai konsentrasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase serangan hama, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap bobot tongkol dengan kelobot per tanaman, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, produksi jagung perpetak lahan dan indeks kemanisan jagung manis.   Kata kunci :Pestisida Nabati, Serangan Hama, Jagung

Abstract

Soil fauna is an organism which undergoes all or most of its life cycles both in the soil body or the soil surface. Organic matter management is aimed at obtaining/providing energy and nutrient resources for soil fauna, so that the diversity of soil fauna is maintained and can play its role in helping to increase plant growth and yield. Each type of soil fauna requires different organic compounds with other fauna species, so it needs plant diversity as an organic source.

Abstract

The diversity of soil organisms creates a variety of functions and processes in the soil. Each community of organisms performs different functions, among others, as nitrogen fixer, phosphate solubilizer, decomposer of organic matter, producer of phytohormones and antibiotics, and can be viewed as a soil ecosystem. Soil fauna plays a very big role in improving soil fertility. Soil fauna is classified as mesofauna, one of which is Collembola. Collembola is a group of microarthropods that has a wide distribution in various types of soil in the world. The role of Collembola in the soil is to destroy organic matter into smaller sizes and then mix them. Collembola is widely used as a biological indicator and ecosystem monitoring. The results showed that: The population of Collembola in organic soybeans had a value of 183 individuals/m2, Biomass of Collembola in organic soybeans had a value of 2.56 mg/m2, Collembola diversity in organic soybeans had a value of 0.89 (classified as low), Population, biomass and diversity of Collembola have a good impact on soil fertility, so it is a positive thing for people who cultivate, especially organic soybeans. Organic soybean cultivation is a good product for people, especially those who currently prioritize health.
