AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model active learning teknik jigsaw terhadap keterampilan berbicara efektif siswa kelas VII SMP/MTs se-Kecamatan Namlea Kabupaten Buru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment, dengan variabel terikat keterampilan berbicara siswa, serta variabel bebas model active learning teknik jigsaw. Desain penelitiannya yaitu nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP/MTs se-Kecamatan Namlea Kabupaten Buru.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes unjuk kerja. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi dan lembar penilaian unjuk kerja. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik uji-t (t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model active learning teknik jigsaw lebih berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa dibandingkan metode konvensional. Hal tersebut berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t perubahan keterampilan berbicara kedua kelompok, diperoleh nilai Sig sebesar 0,000 menyatakan 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model active learning teknik jigsaw terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa. This research is a quasi-experimental study, with the dependent variable students' speaking skills, as well as the independent variables of the jigsaw technique of active learning models. The research design is nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were Grade VII students of SMP / MTs throughout Namlea District, Buru Regency. Data collection techniques used observation and performance tests. Data were collected using observation sheets and performance evaluation sheets. The data analysis technique used is the t-test statistical analysis. The results showed that the active learning model of jigsaw technique had more influence on students' speaking skills compared to conventional methods. This is based on the results of the t-test analysis of changes in speaking skills of the two groups, obtained Sig value of 0,000 stated 0.05, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is an influence of the use of active learning models of jigsaw techniques on students' speaking skills.Keywords: active learning model jigsaw technique, speaking skills
