Abstract

The study aims to analyze and test the validity of the hypothesis regarding the effect of Reading Books and Emotional Intelligence on Indonesian Language Learning Achievement of students. The research hypothesis tested includes: 1) Effect of Book Reading Habits on Students' Indonesian Language Learning Achievement. 2) Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Students' Indonesian Language Learning Achievement. 3) Interactive Influence on the Habit of Reading Books and Emotional Intelligence on Students' Indonesian Learning Achievement. The research was conducted by survey method with correlational techniques. The population used in this study is private vocational school students in Depok city. The study sample was 52 students. The results of the study: 1) There is a significant influence on the habit of reading books and emotional intelligence together on the learning achievement of Indonesian students of Depok Vocational High Schools. This can be proven by the Sig. 0.013 <0.05, and Fh = 4.786. the independent variables of reading habits and emotional intelligence together contribute 16.3% to the variation in the achievement of learning Indonesian. 2) There is a significant influence on the habit of reading books on the learning achievement of Indonesian language students of private vocational schools in Depok. This can be proven by the value of Sig.0,010 <0,05 and th = 2,697. 3) There is a significant influence of emotional intelligence together on the learning achievement of Indonesian students of Depok Private Vocational Schools. This can be proven by the Sig. 0.006 <0.05 and th = -2.864.

Abstract

Cybernetic learning theory which has an average result of 51.75, median of 49, mode of 46.8, variance of 30.19 and standard deviation of 5.49, can be accepted with a significant tolerance limit. This indicates a positive and significant relationship. The effectiveness of learning aqidah morals of students at MTs IKABA Gebang has an average result of 52.7, median of 53.6, mode of 53, variance of 17.85 and standard deviation of 4.22 acceptable with a positive and significant tolerance limit. There is a positive relationship and significant on cybernetic learning theory with the effectiveness of students' aqidah morals learning at MTs IKABA Gebang with a regression line Y= 22.37 +0.61 X. There is a significant correlation between cybernetic learning theory and the effectiveness of students learning aqidah morals at MTs IKABA Gebang after the regression test with the product moment formula with a calculated result of 0.833 with a strong or high level of relationship. From the results of the research conducted by the researchers, it is known that cybernetic learning theory is well applied and able to contribute to the effectiveness of students' moral aqidah learning at MTs IKABA Gebang, for that it is hoped that teachers will be able to apply cybernetic learning theory well so that the impact on students can have a more positive effect

Abstract

This study examines three things, first; How is the implementation of the reading guide learning strategy for class VII with Akidah Akhlak subjects at MTs An-Nadia, Kwala Serapuh village, Langkat Regency. Second; How is the reading ability of class VII students in the Akidah Akhlak subject at MTs An-Nadia, Kwala Serapuh village, Langkat Regency. Third; Is there an effect of reading guide learning strategies on the reading power of seventh grade students in Akidah Akhlak subjects at MTs An-Nadia, Kwala Serapuh village, Langkat Regency. This study uses a quantitative method, by taking a sample of 17 students. While the questionnaire for each variable amounted to 12 questions, with product moment research analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the reading guide strategy for class VII students in the Akidah Akhlak subject at MTs An-Nadia, Kwala Serapuh village, Langkat Regency is in good classification, with the percentage of respondents' answers being 65.5%. The reading ability of class VII students in the Akidah Akhlak subject at MTs An-Nadia, Kwala Serapuh village, Langkat Regency is in the medium classification, with the percentage of respondents' answers being 62.25%. The application of the reading guide learning strategy has a positive effect on the reading power of seventh grade students in the Akidah Akhlak subject at MTs An-Nadia, Kwala Serapuh village, Langkat Regency with a low correlation of 0.258. To teachers of moral creed at MTs An-Nadia, Kwala Serapuh village, Langkat Regency, to carry out teacher duties more professionally by increasing creativity in teaching so that student learning achievement can be further improved, among others, by showing an increase in the use of learning strategies and student questions and answers in the learning process.
