Abstract

Abstract

This article reports the reliability and validity of visual motor integration stages scale for economically disadvantage children (EDC). This measurement focused on visual motor integration especially in writing ability. The study consisted of 19 EDC in Sekolah Bisa! from 5-13 years old. Furthermore, this study is also adapted from the 8th stages writing ability by Gentry (2007) to Indonesian culture. The Visual Motor Integration Stages Scale (TSUMO) consists of 4 stages; basic stroke and form, words writing, phrase writing, and sentence writing. All 19 items are accepted and have correlation coeffiient >.3 using point biserial and have variation in item difficulty. It also has high reliability coefficient (r=.96) using KR20. U Mann-Whitney and internal consistency are used to determine the validity and proved to be valid. Grade norm is used to measure the norm of true score for each subject. Therefore, we can imply which stage is the subject account for from the true score of each subject. It is noted that this scale can be used to determine visual motor integration stage, especially in handwriting for EDC exclude Sekolah Bisa!

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) which was originated by Organ in 1988 has continuously developed theoritically and practically in organizational study. In 1990, Podsakoff and colleagues had developed a scale usually used in OCB research, named OCB Self-Rating Scale. Researchers adapted the scale into organizational context in indonesia. The research pasticipants are 287 people who work in organzations. After being translated into Indonesian, the psychometric test result showed that some numbers of items are not valid tp measure the domain behavior and OCB construct. This OCB adaptation scale is not valid, either internally or externally, with coefficients of 0,37 and 0,22 respectively. Based on Coefficient Alpha technic of reliability, this scale is reliable with coefficient of 0,81. The norms are categorized by gender. The use of this adaptation scale has to some of the items associated with the organizational contect in Indonesia.

Abstract

Digital literacy is becoming increasingly important in the current era of digitalization, but the level of digital literacy in Indonesia is still low. This research aims to develop and test the psychometric properties of the LD-UAJ Digital Literacy Test as a measure of students' digital literacy abilities. The LD-UAJ test is designed to measure the minimum proficiency in digital technology before entering the workforce. It is an achievement test consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions that measure five dimensions of digital literacy: information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital competence, security, and problem-solving. The development of the LD-UAJ digital literacy test involved two data collection phases with 97 active undergraduate students. Through the convenience sampling technique, 46 participants were involved in the pilot test, and 51 in the field test. In this study, item analysis, validity, and reliability methods were used to evaluate the psychometric properties of the LD-UAJ test. The analysis results show that the LD-UAJ test has good validity in terms of content validity, particularly through expert opinions, and face validity with the participants. The reliability results indicate that the LD-UAJ test is reliable with an omega coefficient of 0.82. Further research is needed to validate the criterion-related validity as the criteria used during the development did not show a strong relationship with digital literacy. This study also highlights the existing barriers in the development of the LD-UAJ test, such as time limitations, low student interest and participation, and difficulties in obtaining a sufficiently large sample. However, the LD-UAJ test is expected to be a useful measuring tool in evaluating students' level of digital literacy and can help recommend appropriate training to enhance their digital literacy understanding.
