Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of fun at work on job satisfaction with work engagement as a mediation variable. Specifically, this study is intended is to find out the relationship between fun at work and work engagement, fun at work and work satisfaction, and fun at work and work satisfaction mediated by work engagement. Data were collected through surveys and conducted by distributing questionnaires to the company. The sampling technique used is a saturation sampling method, which all members of the population were used as the sample. The sample consisted of 65 respondents. The results of this study suggests that fun at work significantly affects work engagement. In addition, work involvement indirectly mediates between fun at work and job satisfaction. This phenomenon possibly can occur because a fun workplace can stimulate a good mood and excitement for employees in doing their job.

Abstract

Business in healthcare service, like other service business, should provide a service to its patients in order to maintain patients’ loyalty to be a loyal customer. A method in increasing patients’ satisfaction and loyalty is by focusing a hospital’s business on service quality aspect. Customers’ satisfaction is an effective measurement in assessing service quality that is based on patient’s consideration on the service provided and their personal experience. The main objective of this research is to understand the effect of service quality and brand image on patients’ loyalty, with patients’ satisfaction as mediating variable. To determine the determinant of patients’ satisfaction, the study is focused on the inpatients, especially those who stay at VIP ward, of Prof Dr R Soeharso Ortopedics Hospital Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. The research method used is survey, which is conducted by distributing a questionnaire directly to the surveyed patients. Reliability and validity test (using Servqual instrument) is conducted. The respondents of this research consist of 211 inpatients. The data collected is analyzed using SEM method. The result shows that service quality affects patients’ satisfaction through brand image and service quality. Simultaneously, service quality and brand quality affect patients’ satisfaction. Therefore, patients’ satisfaction affects patients’ loyalty. The implication of this research is the manager of a health care company should continuously improve the service quality and brand image, thus increasing patients’ satisfaction, which will lead to patients’ loyalty.

Abstract

Employee performance has a contribution to the development of a company. The personal performance of an employee can influence by competency and work motivation factors. This research was arranged based on theoretical analysis as well as empirical studies. The research aims to define a structured thinking concept about the relationship between competency variables, work motivation, and employee performance. Worker performance is the result of efforts achieved by a person or group who work in a company. Then competence leads to the employee’s deep and inherent personality. Work motivation is the driving force that makes an employee use his/her abilities to complete the works. Further research can examine conceptual frameworks in business, manufacturing, and service organizations.

Abstract

Praktik Kerja Kinerja Tinggi (PKKT) merupakan seperangkat praktik Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (MSDM) dengan tujuan meningkatkan kinerja instansi. Adanya penerapan PKKT memiliki potensi munculnya penyebab stress kerja, bahkan terhadap kesehatan pegawai. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh PKKT dilihat dari dua penyebab stres pada kesehatan pegawai. Pengujian model penelitian dilakukan pada 398 Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Partial Least SquareStructural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian kami menunjukkan PKKT memberikan dampak positif secara signifikan pada kesehatan pegawai dan stresor tantangan. Dalam posisi lain PKKT juga memberikan dampak negatif pada stresor hambatan. Selain itu stresor tantangan dan hambatan dapat menjadi mediator dalam pengaruh positif HPWP pada pegawai kesehatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan instansi harus lebih memperhatikan dosis tuntutan dan sumber daya pekerjaan dalam praktik PKKT, hal ini dilakukan agar dapat memberikan efek positif terhadap pegawai. Karena apabila tuntutan pekerjaan lebih tinggi daripada sumber daya pekerjaan akan memberikan efek negatif terhadap kondisi pegawai.

Abstract

This study develops and tests integrated models of the antecedents and consequences of LMX, based on social exchange theory. The survey was carried out by taking samples of paramedics in Yogyakarta. Results indicate that LMX have unique antecedents (liking, expectations, and Dyad tenure) and outcomes (favor doing, OCB, and performance rating)

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja bisnis UMKM Desa Polengan melalui upaya meningkatkan kualitas dan inovasi produk. Metode dalam pengabdian dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dimana pendekatan ini dimulai dengan melakukan analisis situasi dengan pihak desa dan BUMDES sehingga didapatkan berbagai data permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UMKM yaitu antara lain: masih rendahnya pengetahuan tentang produk dan sertifikasi halal; rendahnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan SDM dalam pengembangan produk/ inovasi produk. Oleh karena itu maka pengabdian ini melaksanakan kegiatan Sosialisasi Produksi dan sertifikasi halal dan Pelatihan Inovasi Produk serta penyerahan alat yang dibutuhkan UMKM. Hasil dari sosialisasi halal didapatkan bahwa UMKM semakin menyadari pentingnya sertifikasi halal dan tertarik untuk mengikuti sertifikasi halal yang dibantu oleh pemerintah. Sedangkan dari pelatihan inovasi produk yaitu pembuatan bayam krispi dan kripik belut daun singkong menarik perhatian warga untuk mencoba memproduksi kripik tersebut karena bahan yang mudah untuk didapatkan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 Juli 2022 dengan jumlah peserta 20 UMKM di Desa Polengan. Kesadaran masyarakat Desa Polengan akan produk halal dan inovasi produk ini diharapkan akan meningkatkan kinerja bisnis UMKM kedepannya. This service aims to improve the business performance of Polengan Village SMEs through efforts to enhance product quality and innovation. The method of service is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach where this approach begins by conducting a situation analysis with the village and BUMDES so that various data on problems faced by MSMEs are obtained, namely: low knowledge about products and halal certification; low HR knowledge and skills in product development/ product innovation. Therefore, this service carries out Halal Production and Certification Socialization activities, Product Innovation Training, and handing over the tools that MSMEs need. The results of the halal socialization found that MSMEs are increasingly aware of the importance of halal certification and are interested in participating in halal certification assisted by the government. While the product innovation training, namely making crispy spinach and cassava leaf eel chips, attracted the attention of residents to try to produce these chips because the ingredients were easy to obtain. This service activity was carried out on July 20, 2022, with 20 SMEs in Polengan Village. The awareness of the people of Polengan Village about halal products and product innovation will improve the SMEs business performance in the future.

Abstract

Era pandemi menyebabkan daya serap industri di masyarakat mengalami penurunan, baik di industri produk maupun jasa, sehingga mempengaruhi pendapatan perusahaan, dan akhirnya pendapatan karyawan secara umum. Hal ini juga terjadi di RSI Yarsis Surkarta. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memebrikan alternatif solusi bagi karyawan bagian rumah tangga, dan karyawan purna untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman tentang kewirausahaan, dan alternatif yang bisa digunakan dalam mencukupi kebutuhan keluarga, serta kemungkinan usaha yang dilakukan selam pandemi melalui pelatihan hidroponik dan budidaya ikan dalam ember. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan inclass dan outclass, dimana sebelum melakukan kegiatan praktik yang bersifat outclass maka dilakukan pelatihan secara teoritis dengan pendekatan inclass. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara bertahap pada tanggal 5 dan 12 Juni 2021, dan 23 Oktober 2021 dengan skema pelatihan kreativitas dan inovasi serta sekilas tentang hidroponik, pelatihan teknik penanaman sayur menggunakan pendekatan hidroponik, dan budidaya ikan dalam ember. Selanjutnya dilakukan pendampingan untuk setiap kegiatan praktik melalui monitoring kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan akan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan karyawan, khususnya bagian rumah tangga, dan karyawan yang akan segera memasuki masa purna tugas sehingga mereka mampu melakukan pengembangan sayur dan ikan di rumah mereka masing-masing.
